I ordered 4 iPhones 5 and two of them are processing, the other two are pending because the payment did not went trough and I had to call ATT order support team to give them de credit card info again, now I received the order confirmation for those two, but they still pending and not processing.

BTW, I ordered at 3:10
 
Several people with grandfathered unlimited data have that and I don't think anyone has an answer yet. It's likely just a bug/error that will get resolved automatically. Worst case scenario it's a "bug" that ends up costing people their unlimited data plans but hopefully that won't happen.

I doubt it'll cost us our unlimited plans, especially since both data plans listed state that they are unlimited.

My advice is to wait until your iPhone ships (or until you receive it) before calling AT&T and letting one of their, er, brilliant reps :D mess with your order.

Lol, i guess i will just wait and see. And dont even get me started with ATT's "brilliant and helpful" representatives.
 
Pre-order went through at 2:05 AM today and i just received my confirmation email. I found something in the email that i thought was rather strange. It gives me a breakdown of the purchase and here is what it says:
Type Description Monthly Price One Time Price
Line 1 (my name and phone number)

Features Data Unlimited for iPhone on 4G LTE without Visual Voicemail $30.00

Why does it show 2 data unlimited but one of them says without visual voicemail? Will i get voicemail, are they charging me twice? Im so confused:confused:

According to the rep I spoke with today it's just AT&T's awkward way of saying you can turn off VV if you want. Sounded odd to me but she said AT&T wasn't taking VV away from me & it would still be $30. She also said my $5 text plan was also in tact.

It's their way of saying you can turn it off? Sounds a little sketchy to me. Thanks for the info, though. I feel a little better now.

Just called that number. It's an automated machine that asks you for your zip code, then it asks which phone number you're inquiring about. I entered the information and it said that the items I ordered were on backorder and would be ship as soon as possible. So there's that. I don't know if it's referring to the fact that as of now, the iPhone 5 is indeed on backorder (in general), or if the one I specifically ordered is backordered. The confirmation email I got when I made the purchase said it was reserved, so I don't know.

I was actually going to buy it before the shipping ETA slipped to 2 weeks, but I got distracted. So I decided to try AT&T instead but I didn't get through until 2-3 hours later. It seems that decision was unfortunate, since, if I (and others) had ordered right after the announcement that the ETA slipped to 2 weeks, we could've ended up getting it by 9/21 as explained by this email Apple is sending out:

We have some good news concerning your recent iPhone 5 purchase. We expect it to be delivered to you on the first day of iPhone 5 availability — Friday, September 21.

The delivery date we previously sent you was not accurate.

Once your order ships, we’ll send a Shipping Notification email with tracking information. You can always visit apple.com/orderstatus for the most up-to-date status of your order.

Ordered at 3am Pacific. Got charge authorization at 6am. No news since then (text message, etc.).
 
Ordered through Premier at 7:15 EST

Immediately got the 'as soon as Sept 21' email.

Since then, nothing. Order is Pending, but no CC charge or second email or text.
 
Well I guess the extra 2 weeks will give me time to decide on a case. And at least I didn't get up at 2am in the morning to place my order (which some people had to try for an hour or two) and still have the shipment delayed 2 weeks.
 
Got my order in for an ATT 64gb black at 8:30 am CST, but the delivers date says October 5th. :mad:

Bizarre. I ordered mine around 8:20am CST and it said 9/21. Funny thing is, I got to work around 9:30am this morning and for the hell of it tried to order another one and it still said 9/21 delivery date. I feel for ya man. Very frustrating for sure!

Same here. Ordered through Premier at 5:06am PST. The only thing that makes me somewhat optimistic is the fact that Premier now gives a 14-21 day shipping estimate for iPhone 5 orders. Looks like we all got our orders in before the cut-off.
 
Ordered at Black 16GB at about 7:50AM PST. The confirmation email states the order will "arrive on 9/21/12". I also received an email confirming that the order was processed.
 
Adding my data point:

Ordered from AT&T Premier at about 9am EST (brand new service)
Got my email instantly stating "Your iPhone has been reserved and should arrive as soon as Sept 21, 2012."
Order was in a "Pending" state for a while but changed to "Preorder Processing" sometime over the last couple of hours.
 
Did any of you have to choose a voice plan? The confirmation email I received only mentioned my data plan. It says my monthly bill will be $50 with $30 of it going to my unlimited data plan and $20 going towards unlimited texting.
 
I had to place my order over the phone about 705am cst. My cars was immediately charged and about a hour later I received the terms and conditions email so I submitted it. I haven't heard a thing since. The part that concerns me is that I can't pull the order up on the website or using the automated system.
 
The "Cancel Preorder" button has disappeared from my Premier order status page. My status is still "Pending." I'm not sure if this is a good or bad sign. See the before and after below.

I just checked and mine updated in the exact same manner. I sure hope that means progress!

i think i saw in another thread that this is just the way att's system displays the unlimited data plan for LTE.
 
Has anyone ordered around 8:00am PST and show a 21st delivery date? I placed my order at 8:05am PST and the email confirmation says 14-21 days, but it is "processing" and not "pending". My card has been charged as well.

Any thoughts?
 
I placed an order for a black 32gb at 9:30am est this morning. I upgraded.


Still says processing but my credit card was charged 30 mins ago so I guess that's good. It says 9/21 delivery
 
For premier orders, has anyone tried going to the link for the order status that is within the order confirmation email?

I've noticed that if you go to that URL with your iPhone, that page looks different and says something else:

Your order contains items that are not yet available for shipping. When the preordered items are available, we'll process and then ship all items in your order at the same time.

Anyone else see this?

EDIT: Actually, when you go to that link on a computer, for me it does show in a notice at the top (blue background):

We'll ship your preordered items when they become available. All other items in your order will ship when they're available.

Anyone else seeing this as well?

I ordered at 3am pacific, card was charged at 6am. Current status is 'processing'.
 
Placed order over the phone at 8:25am central time for a 32gb black and immediately received the T&C email. 90 minutes later I received an email saying 'Your order is processing and you will receive a separate email containing your tracking number and shipment information.' Neither email said anything about shipping dates. I never received any texts or other emails from ATT. I'm not sure if I'll get my phone on the 21st, but since it says it processing I'll stay hopeful. My order status when I look it up on ATT.com says processing. My credit card was charged the full amount the second the lady on the phone took my order.
