I ordered a black 64 gig iphone 5 at 12:22am pacific time on the regular AT&T wireless website for iphone pre orders. I received a confirmation email right away with this first sentence "Your iPhone 5 will be delivered on 9/21/12. All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis."
I received a 2nd "order processed" email 10 minutes after that at 12:33am with the sentence "We have processed your order and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment."
The current status on the AT&T website is:
