For those who have either shipped or show a carrier:
1) What was the time difference between when you noticed your phone going off backorder to when you noticed a shipping carrier.
2) If you go to FedEx and track by reference with just your cell ph. or order # does the shipping info pop up.

Ordered my 32GB white at 8.30a ET on Friday (premier) - have FedEx tracking number but it isn't live yet. Within 15 minutes I ordered my husband a 16GB black (also through premier) shows status SHIPPED but no tracking info yet. Interesting - the order status link from the "Premier Order Placed" confirmation email I received shortly after placing my order still shows "preorder processing"...
So it looks mine should be here Friday. I guess all my webpage stalking and refreshing worked! 😉
Next dilemma: if the tracking info says it is coming Friday - do I ask my boss if I can work from home on Friday...and do I have to tell him why?!?

Anyone from Premier who ordered early on the 14th but other status showing the 15th with back order at 0 (and received email last night) received Shipped yet? Still hoping ATT reps are wrong about those is showing up in the order system on the 15th having to wait 14-21 days.

My 32gb White went off backorder Mon night (9/17). First had a shipping carrier today 9/19

My backorder went from 1 to 0 on Sunday night. It shipped out the 17th, but only showed up three hours ago in the system.
Tracking by reference number on FedEx.com does not work.
I'm curious, did everyone who ordered on the 14th receive this date on the bottom of their confirmation email?

What dates do they show ordered in the system. Do they both show the 14th or does only the one showing pending say ordered on 15th?
Ok guys, for those who got a Fedex tracking number that is not giving any details yet, I just called. Don't know if this is true for all of them but I gave them my tracking # and they were able to see that it was being shipped Express. Apparently that just means end of business because she told me it would be delivered by 8pm. When I asked about having it held for pickup she said the shipper had put restrictions that they could not hold it. They also said at this time, it appears no signature required, although they said that may change once it is picked up and scanned. All they know at this point is that it is express. I may try to stop at the location where I picked up a package in the past and see if it will be coming into there. Maybe a call that morning will get a different answer. At least in my area, Fedex comes in the morning so a few hours later won't be too bad. With UPS it would be much later.

Thought I would help with any insight that I had. My wife and I stepped into a brick and mortar at 0800 EST. I let my wife order ahead of me and then I put through my order.
My wife's receipt says 0811 EST, and she purchased a 16GB White one. My receipt says 0822 EST and I purchased a 16GB Black one. If it ends up counting for anything; I paid $449($199 + $250) for mine, and my wife paid an even $199 for hers.
I have been keeping an eye on the backordered amount because I figured that would probably be the only thing that has some weight behind it. I think my backordered amount changed to 0 on Monday, couldn't be positive though. My wife's is unfortunately still listed as one.
My shipping and tracking info changed this morning and it looks to be shipping via FedEx.
I did receive the email saying that it was going to be 14-21 days but I suppose you can't go off of that email, huh?
When the day is over though, I don't know if we will be going and sitting outside of the brick and mortar. I have a 4S that I will need to ship out by Oct 1st and my wife might just use that for the time being. From the sounds and looks of it, the white iPhone is in short supply.
I will keep an eye on my wife's iPhone order status and let you all know if anything else changes, be it for the better or worse.

New here, just thought I would share my order status. I'm Premier, originally tried to order at 3AM EST on the 14th, but couldn't get through. Went back to bed and tried again at 6:30AM. Everything went through without a hitch. My order always showed as being completed on the 14th, both in the Premier site and on the ATT site. Have had the charge pending on my Amex since Friday. Quantity changed from " qty backordered 1" to "qty backordered 0" on Monday afternoon. Just got another email from Premier saying I "should" receive my iPhone Friday. Information updated on the ATT site and I now have a Fedex tracking number with a ship date of 9/17.

1. I only started checking yesterday morning. I never saw a backorder. Perhaps it said that prior to?
2. When I go to FedEx, I still cannot find myself using the reference method and the actual tracking numbers also say "not found".
Ordered a 32gb black at 8:30am central the 14th over the phone. Went off back order on Saturday morning. Woke up this morning with a FedEx tracking number!
i got lucky! my white16 changed to 0 overnight. i mean lucky, for someone who ordered after the cut off time.

Woke up this morning. Got my 2nd email basically saying what my confirmation email said. "should arrive as soon as sept 21"

Haha it's funny, nothing is ever good enough. Before, it was AT&T's fault because they screwed up the shipping. But wait! We have tracking numbers! But now FedEx sucks because they haven't updated the tracking numbers! Haha we're so spoiled and used to our immediate information rich society. If you have a tracking number, it'll like be here Friday if not Thursday.

On 15th got shipping? Anyone who called AT&T and told 13-21 days got shipping? My original concern from Premier is starting to look valid that if your batch of orders did not get entered until the 15th, you may not get it for. 14-21 days even if you were one of the first to order. Lousy order entry clerk!!!

Ordered Premier at 515 am CST on 9/14 but shows as 9/15 on regular ATT site. Mine is still in backorder. Anyone on the same boat or have some people shipped?
