You're automatically in AT&T's Premier if you have a FAN account. That is, you are receiving monthly discounts because of where you work. With that said, I don't know what the difference is between a regular account and a Premier account. What is obvious is that they use different systems. You can't find your order because you're doing it through the regular AT&T Wireless page.

And yeah, I'm in the same boat. I ordered at 7AM PST when the site still shows an estimated delivery date of Sept. 21st. Got the e-mail confirming my order but my order status through the provided link still shows PENDING. No charge on my CC.

I'm glad several people are in the same position I am. I figured there would be activity by end of day but it looks like my pre-order is still in pending status as well. (Pre-ordered 6:45am via Premier; No Credit Card charge activity and still Pending status). Hopefully, something changes by morning.
 
Ordered a16GB black phone from the "My AT&T" App on my 4S at 3:19am. Received an email Confirmation at 3:23am, then another email from AT&T indicating "...We have processed your order and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment," at 2:11pm. My ccard has been "hit.".
FWIW: I had 2 MacBook Pros, 1 iPad and 1 iPhone 4S going trying to place an order. Each was trying a different site or App: apple.com, AT&T.com, AT&T Upgrader App, and "My AT&T" App. The "My AT&T" App connected and loaded within 2 or 3 minutes after logging on and placing my order was fast and easy. None of the other 3 sites had loaded/connected yet when I was finished ordering on the App.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Read some other posts and to clarify---I'm a "regular" AT&T customer, not Premier, and, yes, my credit card has been charged for the entire amount ($199 + tax).

"TheCodger"....I had just finished writing about my "delay." A few minutes later, when you wrote that your status had changed, I was inspired to check and refresh my status page. IT ALSO CHANGED to "Preorder Processing"!!! LOL!

I'm giving you credit for this! lol! :D
 
I'm starting to worry that having the phone shipped to an address other than the account's billing address is going to cause problems. The credit card I used has the same billing address as the shipping address, so it's also different from my AT&T account address. I don't know if any of this matters. Premier lets you enter your own shipping address, so I'm hoping it will go through.

I ordered from Premier at 5am PST and my order status is still Pending.
 
So I was able to get upgrade pricing by using someone's upgrade on my family plan (not my number).

When the device comes, how can I make sure my account becomes active and not the other persons?

I called AT&T about this a few days ago. They said you must be sure not to use or activate the phone or sim card that is mailed to you. Call them first and tell them you used a different line for the upgrade, but you want to use the new phone and sim card on a different line. They should be able to change the line associated with the sim card before you activate it. That way everyone doesn't have to pile into the car and get new sims from the store.

"Preorder processing" here as well. The funny thing is when I check upgrade availability, it says I am still eligible for a new phone with upgrade fee of $36. Does this not change until later in processing?
 
You live in the woods, chop your own trees and start your own fire for heat, walk to work with no shoes? How did you make this post then? Oh wait, it's 2012.
If you would not live the woods, you would die from hunger, and it would be hard to find a shelter from rain or extreme heat. If you wouldn't chop your own trees, you wouldn't be able to eat or warm yourself. Your work was your survival, so no shoes were needed. Cellphone is a luxury, not a necessity, and this makes the whole difference.
 
Glad I checked my order status on Premier once more - it just changed from Pending to Preorder Processing. Also, the "Cancel Preorder" button has reappeared. I'm hoping this is a step in the right direction.

I was up until 3am when the pre-order was starting. for at least 30mins i couldn't get through on the apple website. I finally got through and i was having problems with my change of address then when it was ready the status changed to shipping 1-2 weeks! lol so I went directly to At&t website.

I pre ordered mines around 4 something with it still saying that it will arrive on 9/21 through att.com. My problem is i haven't received any type of confirmation email regarding the status of my order. I have, however i received an email saying that there was a problem with trying to transfer my number. I got a call from at&t a few hours later(11am) fixing my phone number problem. Still no email! On the website I can check the status with my phone number now and with the order number I have that i printed. My card has been charged and it is showing a pending charge for at&t authorization. on the website it says that my order is prcessing and the shipping is showing processing(see attached below) Anyone having this problem?... I also signed up for at&t service for the first time as well.

I was on the ATT and APPLE websites forever last night trying to find a way to place an order for a phone. Finally i got in through ATT only to have my ATT dsl go out on me last night!!! It was a good hr or so before i was back on. So do I blame ATT for the delay in shipping? :D Also, i am still processing since about 3 or 4am last night. Ordered through ATT's site.
 
I'm sure this has been asked but I don't want to read through 15 pages lol. Is AT&T offering an early upgrades for those who per-ordered the iPhone 4S the first day?

I placed an order for the 16gb white one last night through the AT&T website and got my order confirmation at 3:03 am EST. Today afternoon at 3:00 I got a text and email saying that my order has been processed and sent to warehouse for shipment. My card was also charged.

I checked my order status just now on the website but my order is still processing. Should I be worry with this?

I'm getting that. I ordered over the phone around 8 o'clock tonight tho and accepted terms of service around 9 through email. I assume I won't see anything until tomorrow show up. Gonna call them in the morning

Don't be surprised if Apple and the 3 carriers are shipping their stock but telling UPS/FEDEX to hold delivery until Friday. In fact, I bet that is what they're doing.


Anyways, I ordered 7AM PST from AT&T and my order just went from PENDING to PREORDER PROCESSING. I don't know if this is a step forward or backwards.
 
I'm in the same boat as many of you. Ordered at 7:45am PST from the Premier store... order was "PENDING" almost all day, until about two hours ago... it is now in "PREORDER PROCESSING"... no authorizations or charges ($1 or otherwise) on my card, though. :confused:
 
It took forever to get through to the AT&T site and I managed to finally get through on the Apple Store at 434am ET and of course my delivery is set for Oct 5.So I just ordered another from AT&T and whichever looks to arrive here 1st I will keep and cancel the other.

For what it's worth, my shipping address, credit card billing address, and Premier billing address are all different, and my status is "Preorder Processing."

I am still stuck on processing. While others who have ordered after me have their confirmations that their phones are ready to ship. I am not sure what is going on.
 
I'm still on the processing status and I received my order confirmation email at exactly 2:00am CST. I also signed up for AT&T as I was pre-ordering. My credit card has been charged.
