ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

ordered iphone 5 - shipping iphone 4??

I pre-ordered around 8:30am. EST on the 14th... and my credit card was charged the full amount by Monday morning. My status has said 'pending shipment' all week. Now, this morning, my iphone5 status still says 'pending shipment' - but there's a new order for a iphone4 (which I did not order...but it says it was ordered on 9/15) complete with tracking info and it says it will be delivered today. Has this happened to anyone else? Are they really sending me a iphone 4? :confused:
 
This is odd, I just got this email below to a different email address than I normally use for AT&T, it is legit, I checked the headers. Anyone else get this in addition to the second premier email? Sorry it isn't a screen shot, I'm on my iPad.

I pull up this screen and it gives me a traxking number (UPS) but it says "0" under the shipped column but says it shipped 9/16. I know this has probably been addressed and is probably an elementary question but any help?
 
Ordered a 32GB White in the brick and mortar store at 9:11 AM Eastern on 9/14. Was told I would have the phone Friday. It's still listed as backordered on the order status update site. Order date listed as 9/14 also. It's frustrating to see others who ordered later than I did are going off backordered. Still holding out hope though.

Has anyone who ordered at the store went off backorder yet? I can't remember seeing any posts of anyone who had.

Yep, if you see references to a CSS email in this thread, that's the one they're talking about. I'm not sure why but I know some other people have gotten it at different addresses than the standard AT&T one. Maybe it's an old address from when you first signed up?

just pull really hard on each end, load up ios6, pop some metal on the back, and turn it into an iphone5. ;)

Which site showed shipper and track id? I finally show shipped by not by whom or tracking. Ordered at 7:15 am est PREMIER.

Same situation as you. Ordered at store on 9.14 at 9:20am - still on back order.
 
I have been left completely in the dark by att! I ordered a 16 white in-store at 10:15am EST on the 14th. Never got any confirmation email...nothing. My order still says back-ordered and starting to get frustrated because the att employee told me that I will receive my phone on the 21st. WTF!!!!!! First and Last time I pre-order anything from att.
 
My black 64GB ordered at 9:30 am EST 9/21 shows preordered, wife's white 64GB ordered at 10:30 am EST shows shipped. ARRRGGGHH!!! :apple:

I received an order confirmation while I was in the store. Said 14-21 days but sales person said it would ship to store on the 21st. Still on back order.
 
Ordered 8 minutes after launch.

My ATT status page now has a carrier listed as FedEx, but still Processing. First change all week. Can't track by ref. Pretty sure ATT system is slow, most of us will be happy Friday.

edit: any info on LTE in the Philadelphia area? Haven't been able to find anything.

09/17 08:00 AM PDT - Discovered the alternate, more detailed status site
09/17 08:01 AM PDT - Status states QTY BACKORDERED 1 / Processing
09/17 10:00 AM PDT - Status changed to QTY ORDERED 1 / Pending Shipment

Just an update for comparison...

09/18 20:30 PM PDT - Another email received confirming my order and receiving "as soon as 9/21/12"
09/19 03:45 AM PDT - Status still "In Progress" but now have a FEDX tracking number. (Not in FEDEX system yet)

or they got their phones already and are busy playing with their new toy. lol. J/K, but when we start receiving our phones this thread will go silent and new ones will go crazy. Threads like:

1. What is your favorite update?
2. Have you found any shortcuts?
3. Did you have trouble moving your apps/pics/music/etc?

look carefully, if you use your cell phone, it will show new order BUT if you enter your account phone number, it will show ALL history from past as well.
 
Got an email around 11:30 last night from Premiere saying I should get mine on or around the 21st. My screen updated about an hour ago showing shipped. The link from the original email is still showing processing. Just waiting on my tracking number now
 
I ordered my iP5 at like 7:00 am EST. It went through Premier which makes me kind of angry because I can't log into premier to check my order status as I'm an "individual responsibility account", but the AT&T site is still showing me this (screen cap). I don't get it. I ordered after some of you whose phones have already shipped. Is this some issue with premeir?

Weirdly, I logged out and logged back in and the iphone 4 order was gone. I've never had an iphone 4 - upgrading from the 3G haha.... my functionless brick of a phone.
 
Order statues showing tracking info

Hello.
A little update. My tracking info via fedex is showing on my att&t order statues page. Tracking does not seem to be activate yet. Even with a shipping date of 9/16 for 16g black and 9/17 16g white.

I ordered through the premier website around 5ish am central. White 16gb iphone. Got my fedex number, but it shows processing.
