Ordered on Friday from our friends at AT&T. No confirmation e-mail, just a text. Searching around for shipping info...found this:

More accurate shipping and order info. Lists phone as "in progress" and even gave me a tracking number and carrier -- even though the phone hasn't shipped yet. More info than customer service had.

This is definitely the last time I order from AT&T.

After I put in my order through the regular process, I became aware that my daughter is eligible for Premier through her college enrollment. Is there a number that she or I could call--her line is on our family plan--to get any discounts such as waiving activation fee? Thanks.

You can try the website - https://www.wireless.att.com/business/enrollment/. I believe the number is 877-290-5451. I didn't realize I got a discount with my employer until 2 days ago. I called the number and a rep told me I'd have to go to that URL or to a corporate store to sign up.
 
i keep trying that trick to "track my order" from UPS or FedEx but it doesnt work...

so I enter my phone number int he reference line (ex: 305-------), then chose United States, then my Zip Code... and I get nothing.

I did the same on FedEx website.

It was explained on the other ATT shipping thread that FedEx tracking will not work until FedEx takes physical possession. ATT's system doesn't feed tracking info to FedEx prior to p/u.



to everyone:
when did your backordered turn 0? and when did you get the shipped status?

I asked this question earlier. It looks like shipped status or carrier posted happens 12-24 hrs after it goes from b/o to ordered. Of course, this may speed up as the day goes on.
 
Lets make this simple to disspell some info we think we know.

Has anyone's phone been updated to "Shipped" or received a tracking number WHO pre-ordered the phone after 9am EDT?

If you ordered near that time or after, please post or something, this will calm the nerves of a lot of people, also, size and color phone helps too. Thanks

That link actually got me my tracking number for the first time. People might want to try it. Other methods don't work for me.
 
im starting to think i wont be getting mine on friday. i ordered around 9:30AM eastern time and received an email that said "will deliver on 9/21", but my order still says back ordered

maybe 9:30 was just too late

I ordered mine about 9a EST, a white 16gb, and I came off backorder around 3a or earlier idk i was sleeping lol but last night I talked to a rep who sounded sure about what she was saying and she told me that if you order before 9pacific i believe and if you got the email saying you'd get it by 9/21 then thats when youre gonna get it. just have patience like ppl have been saying from past experience, you will still get it friday and the site might still say backordered. 2 more days! im still waiting for mine to say shipped so im as eager as you.
 
One thing looks pretty certain, today is the day that people find out if they are getting the phone Friday. Seems like everyone that ordered in that time frame has "shipped" showing on the order status.

Negative.

I ordered 15 minutes after pre-orders started and still show 'Processing'. I do have zero backorder, but no shipping activity yet.

QUESTION: does anyone else have an order that they placed on 9/14/12 listed as being placed on 9/15/12? Have any of these people had their order ship?
 
Update on my situation:

Ordered 32gb Black through PREMIER around 7:15 AM EST on the 14th. Order date on the order status showed the 15th.

Last night I received an email and my backorder quantity went from 1 to 0.

Hope this helps anyone else in a similar situation.
 
Now showing shipped, but with no tracking# on both sites:

(1) 32GB Blk ordered 8:38AM EST on 9/14 via Regular website (new customer with port from Verizon)
--Came off backorder status at approximately 12PM EST yesterday, 9/18
--Location: New Brunswick, NJ
--No other emails other than the initial confirmation email received right after order was submitted

This should probably get posted every page, or at least update the OP with it ... it seems to be more up to date then the link in the original email.

Thanks. I had signed up my daughter for Premier after I realized her eligibility , and after posting my question re discounts, I noticed a 15 percent discount on our monthly bill. Haven't dug down--have to work a bit--to see about waiving activating fee. Might be easier for me to walk into a store befor Friday to check on this.

I ordered mine on ATT site (non Premier) at 9:20AM EST. Got email shortly after. Got text message for processing 3 hours later. I've been showing Back Ordered Qty of "1" since Sunday.

Just yesterday, 9/18/12 at around 4:00PM, Back Ordered changed to "0" ... still no shipping confirmation / tracking # ...

I hope us 9:30EST'ers will get ours on Friday! Seems like a lot of people who are getting shipping confirmation info ordered theirs in the first 3 hours or so.... maybe I'm mistaken. I HOPE I am!
 
ATT Premier

Mine also shows shipped on ATT site and confirmed from auto info number by calling 800 331-0500 (works for ATT Wireless and Premier) and entering Phone and zip but still no shipping company or tracking. Not complaining as thrilled. But wondering if anyone else has that info from Premier- Just shipped with no company or tracking?

1) Not "shipped" yet; no carrier assigned yet. Not on b/o; rec'd CSS last night.

2) The very nature of "next day" shipping means tomorrow is also a shipping day for 9/21 delivery.
 
for reference I ordered at Fri, Sep 14, 2012 at 8:16 AM CST via the ATT site and my 32GB white iphone shows shipped but no tracking ... 64GB black shows backordered still...so we'll see!
 
I read on the AT&T forums last night that AT&T has 3 different fulfillment centers: Texas, Tennessee and I cant remember the last one but don't have time to look it up right now. Maybe New York?

I'm wondering if those that are receiving their tracking info today live too far away from one of the centers that it will take their phone 2 days to get there via 2 day Air, whereas if anyone is closer to a fulfillment center, it can be delivered in 1 day and those will ship tomorrow.

So, I guess in order to help those out that are still waiting for shipment notice, can you please also post where you are located if you already got shipment info?

I'm in Florida and if there is a fulfillment center in TN then I can see that only being a 1 day transit time. Still keeping my fingers crossed....but maybe just another thought to consider for those waiting vs. not waiting for the update.
 
I can't get any work done nor sleep over this. I check the att site at least 30 times a day and 15 times more in the middle of the night! Just give me my phone so I can get back to life. It's driving me insane!
 
Is priority shipping next day?
That's fed ex right?

All launch day delivery phones ship "next day" regardless of whether you paid for shipping or not. Most are going FedEx, some UPS. Seems to depend on which warehouse they are shipping from -- ATT has 3 (IL, TX, TN). Plus I think some phones are shipping direct from China. Those will be UPS most likely.
 
So no one else had an order placed on 9/14/12 show up as placed on 9/15/12 when they go to check their order status?

I ordered at 3PM EST friday and my order status went from in-progress to shipped this morning. no tracking number, though.
 
I ordered at 8:45 or so and mine still shows In Progress. Never has shown anything else.

Discover card was showing a hold but is no longer showing.

I get nothing if I try to put in the phone number on both FedEx and UPS as reference number.

Are all AT&T orders shipping FedEx?
