Yeah I hope I get to know which one is shipping Fedex or UPS so I can call there office here and ask them to hold. Uselly they ship stuff to my place when I'm not home and I know I'm going to have to sign for it.

maybe everyone will get the phones shipped via fedex? but if no one is home to sign the phone, they will return it to the facility. and you can always pick it up there (latest is 7pm). all you have to show them is your ID and the tracking number. happened twice to me when fedex couldn't find my address (weird - they have GPS right)?

Still backordered. Placed order on Friday by telephone. Accepted Terms and Cond at 10:10 CST. 16gb Black.
 
Ordered BLACK 16GB in store on the 14th, at 10:30 AM CST.

My order status says "In Progress" and a '1' under the category BACKORDERED.

But, under "Tracking Number" it says 'Pending Shipment'.

Looks like I'll be waiting in line tomorrow night..
 
I ordered my iphone 16gb black 10:50am EST..and have yet to see ANY changes. NO emails..no tracking..nothing.. Just backordered "1" since friday...

stupid...
 
Does anyone else have this? Where it says in Progress but I got my tracking number and such?

Yes, it means they slapped a shipping label on it and they are waiting for FedEx to pick it up. Once they do, and FedEx scans it themselves, it will change to "shipped" since it will no longer be in AT&T's possession. :)
 
Ordered a 32GB white iphone at 3:05am EST on pre-order day. Still have not received tracking number or any shipping info. Still says "processing" but under "shipping date" it says 9/16/2012. What does that mean? When i click on the question mark next to it says "THis is the date the item left our fulfillment center. Click the tracking number to access the carrier's site to track the shipment of your item." Does this mean that my order already shipped? If it did why is there no tracking?

Checked my order status last night
Still in progress
Ship date has changed to 9/17
0 back ordered
Shipping with ups
And provided me with a tracking number
Next day air saver.

I don't get. I just don't get it. I ordered mine way before you. Same 64gb, black iPhone from the AT&T store at 10amEST (7amPST) and mine has just been showing Processing the entire time. Back-order has not changed to 0. No shipping info. Very frustrating. My CC had a pending charge for a day that then vanished too. I wish I knew what the heck is going on at AT&T.

Yeah I was thinking that it might be Fedex. One time I order my iMac they said nobody was to sign that I had to wait the next business day for delivery which sucked had to wait until monday. Told them I would just pick it up at there office. I couldn't wait to monday for them to deliver it lol

Been here since the beginning, just watching...

Curious if anyone wants to share their charged/pending/none CC info at this point/as you came off b/o (or shipped) to see if there is a trend. I was pending until today, at which time all charges disappeared completely.

I'm still B/o with an order time of about 11am EST in store so just trying to gauge my chances. Thanks for any input :)

- 2nd Order confirmation email received @ 6:28:11am CDT on 9/14/2012
- 3rd email (AT&T Customer Care for Wireless - CSS) email received @ 4:05am CDT on 9/19/2012
- online order status has been pending shipment since view-able online as of 10:00am CDT on 9/19/2012

Yet you will go back to them over and over and probably continue to do business with them, right? If you are that furious, which it really sounds like you have a right to be with the way they treated you, change companies.

1. I am grandfathered into unlimited data
2. At this point I can't change because they processed the order and it can't be cancelled at this point. So I cant even change providers with out signing a new contract.
 
If this thread was a book, it would be the exactly the same story as the 4 and 4S threads just with different characters.... :D

Basically my situation except I ordered at 9:15 or so est. It seems to me that premier customers have been taken care of first.
