I gotta think all the carriers and Apple's systems are way over taxed. No one expected this amount of volume. Let's hope we see these orders change status today or tomorrow.

I gotta think all the carriers and Apple's systems are way over taxed. No one expected this amount of volume. Let's hope we see these orders change status today or tomorrow.
I wonder if it is also being handled regionally since I saw there are 3 fulfillment centers. Maybe one is processing slower than the other 3?
Quantity shipped just went to "1" for me. No tracking #'s yet.

I don't get it at all. As I mentioned earlier, ordered at 8:15 am est. Got email confirmations 15 min later stating delivery on 21st (suuure). Still showing backordered. 16gb black.
Others on here who ordered hours after me are saying they have shipping info. I don't get it. How is this fist come first served? And if it is, then the communication is terrible.
I mean its just a phone. If I get it a few days late, I will survive. But I wish ATT wouldn't make promises or state things that aren't true or apparently don't follow their own order fulfillment guidelines.

ordered ~6am Friday Preimier, 32-black
Now I'm really confused... other than the original confirmation email, and the carpet bomb of "call us your order is screwed up" emails on Saturday after close... after calling sunday after hours of calling/holding basically told my creditcard was wrong, but everything on it was okay.... and that I could cancel and try again... and ATT still to this date not having a single weborder listed and premier still showing "ATTENTION" (call us because your order is screwed up)... I get a ping on UPS... although there is no tracking information.. just... there is "1 package" .. thats all it shows.
And AMEX still only shows 2 $1 auths.... not a full purchase price

I placed my order at 9:03 CT at the AT&T retail store for a white 64. Got a conf email at 9:52 CT telling me that my order would be shipped in 14-21 days. I figured that might just be AT&T covering their butt. Pending charge went onto my card. Yesterday the pending charge disappeared but was still removed from my available balance. Today, my available balance is back to the full amount, minus the iphone charge and my order status still shows back ordered.
Oh well, same thing happened to me on the 4s. If I weren't' grandfathered on the unlimited data plan on all 5 of my iphones, I'd switch to verizon.

Haha... the first thing that came to mind was "but the characters would be a little sexier. So it's the 50 Shades of Gray to the iphone 4/4s's Twilight.

Curious if anyone wants to share their charged/pending/none CC info at this point/as you came off b/o (or shipped) to see if there is a trend. I was pending until today, at which time all charges disappeared completely.
I'm still B/o with an order time of about 11am EST in store so just trying to gauge my chances. Thanks for any input
White 16GB ordered from regular ATT site at 8:45am EST on Friday.
Charge on CC still pending.
Changed from Backordered 1 to 0 last night around 11pm EST.
Still "In Progress" with no shipping information.
Received CSS email this morning.
Ordered the same thing, credit card charged, and still "processing" on the one link, and "QTY BACKORDERED: 1" on the other.
I would like to see a picture of this. If you cant provide one then quit trolling and go find something else to do.

I felt exactly the same until I was the one getting good news. Don't worry I'm sure in an hour you'll be all excited and happy too.No trolling here..... just checked again and its back to the original..... both on back-order. Their system is really messed up.
That is interesting. My fedex number still shows that nothing is in the system yet.
