My order was changed to preorder processing early this morning and as of just a few minutes ago, I can view my order from my actual AT&T account (not just through the email link)
 
Just a suggestion to make everyone's posts clearer:

When discussing order status, process, etc., note if you are a regular or premier customer since the two sites don't use the same order status terminology or shipping queue. Sometimes you can read a post and tell, sometime not.

Reposted and bolded for emphasis.


I am a regular customer, and my status says "In Progress" on one of the status pages and "Processing" on the other. Why they have two order status pages.....:rolleyes:
 
Im laughing at all the people who didn't care enough to wake up super early like myself to place my order. And yet they still feel like they deserve their phones on the same day as mine.

What's the old saying? "You snooze you lose?" lol
 
Premier customer. Last night it was processing. This morning it was cancelled.

Watch out for one thing with an order thru AT&T. I was burned on it when pre-ordering the 4 thru Premier in the first 15 minutes of availability. They randomly flag CC for fraud checks. This will tie up your order. Mine was lost in the preorder mess. Took over a week to get it fixed with a supervisor okaying the CC. She told me about the random fraud checking. I did not have the $1 nor the $316 pending on my CC. I have ordered a lot of phones thru Premier w same CC. If you don't have the pending charges, I'd be a little wary of my order status. Since then I order thru Apple and then call att to remove the activation fees. Best of luck to all with your orders.

I ordered through ATT last night. I got the terms and conditions email at 7:15 P.M. EST and I accepted immediately. I have a pending charge on my credit card, but when I check the order status I get nothing. I also never got any second email after the terms and conditions acceptance.

After I accepted the terns and conditions it was roughly another 12 hours before I received the order email.
 
If you add a line to another persons account to pre-order, does the terms and conditions get sent to the account holders email that they have to ok before your pre-order can get processed?

My Premier order is stuck at "Attention" and I have no way of verifying what they need. Here's the deal:

When I click on the confirmation e-mail, I can see the status as "Attention." It says I can log in for support, but when I do that, and attempt to register my wireless number to establish a premier login, it tells me I can't since I have an Individual Responsibility Account and am ineligible for a login. So I click on another link to get to the Premier login for my company's Premier login site, can get there, but then can't find the order.

So, thanks to AT&T putting me into a "Premier" order list that I can't access, I have no way of knowing what information they need or fixing my order, and of course there is no information anywhere on the site or confirmation e-mail to call anyone. Chat is available M-F only :mad:

My card hasn't been charged, so I'm guessing maybe they threw a flag, but again, have no way of knowing for sure.


At least I have my Apple.com order that is preparing for shipment. I really want the no-commitment one I ordered from AT&T, though, before my 30 day return period is up.

"Well, I called AT&T Premier and they confirmed what I had suspected. Even though I submitted my order at 7:45am CDT on 09/14, they didn't receive my order until just over 9 hours ago. So, basically I got screwed as a Premier customer because the rep said that my order wouldn't ship out until between Oct 4 and 15th. I told her to cancel it and she said she successfully cancelled the order. I'm supposed to get an email confirmation of that. I'll take my chances in the stores."

I would bet that we are all in the same boat here. Our CC's not getting charged until early this morning (and at that point the orders going from pending to processing) would imply to me that we did not make it into the first shipment. Oh well.
 
I ordered through Premier and I tried ordering at 2am CST (start of presale) but I never was able to get through and complete and order until 5:30am CST. I received an email immediately after my order saying my order was received and 'Your iPhone has been reserved and should arrive as soon as Sept 21, 2012.'

The email has a link that says 'You can view the status of your order in Premier at any time.' and pretty much every time I click on that and it brings me to the Premier site, it tells me the Premier site is down?

I checked my CC and $300+ pending from ATT. I ordered 32g white.

I had a reasonably smooth experience preordering the 4 and even got it early (or day of - my memory is fuzzy, but I sort of recall some people getting them a day early?) and I never remembered any indications that my order may be in jeopardy. And I sure didn't wake up at 2am to order, I ordered from my office at 9am last time.

I would just be annoyed because I did wake up and try to order early but ATTs site was so messed up I could not get through. I kept getting weird errors if I could even log in (sorry you have only held your account for less than 30 days so blah blah - I've had ATT since it was Cingular over 9 years now?) and most of the time it wouldn't even let me log in or get to the pick a phone part. Premier was extra broken too it seemed. I know it was apparently unprecedented traffic, but if this kind of thing is going to happen maybe they need to revise the system?

EDIT:I logged into the 'normal' ATT site and my order shows there now. Shipment status: processing

AT&T needs to stop calling us "Premier" customers when this kind of nonsense happens every year.

You might want to clear your cache or something, because that site has been working fine.
 
ordered a 64 gb black, says it's in progress and backordered?
does this mean I may get it on the 21st?

Man, that is F up if its true thou, i woke up early as hell,but it was a mess to order,uknow, i ordered at 7:45am EST and got that same email, but my card hasn't been charge and when i check the premier site, status is: "attention"
WTH? :eek: Ugh, i had my iphone 4 sold to gazelle, but i have till october 1st to send it in order to get a good price
 
Prepared for shipment

Both my white 32 AT&T are prepared for shipment. Happened about 5 min ago. WOOT:D
