ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

My order through Premier went to processing last night. I checked this morning and it says cancelled?!? I don't understand AT&T. Luckily my first line I went through Apple but looks like my second line got screwed.

I received the 9/21 delivery email too. There are no issues with the CC either. Frustrating! Have to call Premier but they aren't opened weekends according to the 800 number I dialed.
 
I finally managed to place an order with AT&T that didn't look like it would screw up my plans. Yesterday when I tried to order through Apple my unlimited data plan was removed, while trying through AT&T my $5/200 msg text plan was removed, both of which I should have been able to grandfather in. Rather than place the order and fight later, I waited until today. This time my unlimited data plan was grandfathered in, while there was no reference to a change in text plans. Shipping has slipped to 2-3 weeks, but I guess that's the tradeoff for avoiding any hassles down the road.
 
I added a line to my moms account and completed my pre-order at 7:45am. I got an email right after confirming my order (along with a $1 pending att charge on my credit card) but every time I check the status it still just says "processing" :(

My credit card and the billing address of my moms ATT account are the same so I figured there's no issue there.

Is it when you add a line to pre-order the iPhone 5 that your pre-order gets screwed up? :confused:
 
Did anyone else order over the phone through AT&T yesterday? I accepted the Terms and Conditions they emailed me but I don't have anything showing up yet as far as an order status. Granted this was 8 o'clock lastnight when I placed the order and around 9 pm when I accepted the terms. AT&T charged my account for the price of the phones, but the charges only show $0.0, but took the actual full price out.
 
update to my earlier post:

I preordered a Black 16GB at 4:11am PST and a Black 32GB at 4:15am PST.

Both orders show "Preorder Processing." The 32GB order that I put in last was charged the entire amount first on 9/14. The 16GB order I put in first was charged the entire amount to my account last on 9/15. Kinda wierd how it worked out, but I think things are looking good.

Edit: Im an ATT Premier customer.

No. ATT changed the upgrade policy to 20 months.

Okay but then how do I get the 200 text plan if there isn't an option to check on the pre-order site?

Apparently it just stays on your acct. I didn't have an option when I ordered either which is why I called. The rep looked at my acct and confirmed the $5 plan would xfer. If you are concerned give them all call to confirm as well.

I think the first orders will begin shipping Monday. Early deliveries on Thursday are very possible.

as of 11:45 pm EST my iphone is preparing to ship. i completed my order from the apple store app at 3:10 am on 9/14

You guys order from the "regular" ATT site or Premier?
 
Ordered around 930am EDT yesterdat... My order went to "pending" around 4pm EDT, then at around 9pm last night, it went to "Preorder Processing". Ordered thru Premier too and already reflecting a pending charge on our credit card.

The account name, the credit card name, and the premier discount name are all different, we all have the same address though.

If Premier Support is closed on the weekends, I'll be screwed because I ordered an additional Individual line for this phone and will be switching it to the FamilyTalk plan on Friday when I get the phone (of course I'm just hoping:)) but I won't be home all day and will be done at work late. So I'll be stuck just staring at the phone the whole weekend but hopefully an AT&T store close to me is open late and can fix this issue when I get the phone.
 
Ordered mine at around 7:50 CST yesterday. Moved to "Preorder Processing" status this morning and credit card was billed the full amount. Looking more promising than it was yesterday. This status was through "premier" site. Site still said 9/21 was the date and had not (yet) slipped to 14-21 days. Keeping my fingers crossed that the next step is a confirmed for shipment!
 
Just a suggestion to make everyone's posts clearer:

When discussing order status, process, etc., note if you are a regular or premier customer since the two sites don't use the same order status terminology or shipping queue. Sometimes you can read a post and tell, sometime not.
 
After reading this thread, it seems like the order status page that AT&T has is worthless. Someone who preordered with them before said that it was "Processing" all the way up until they got the shipment tracking info. And it seems that there are different order statuses for Premier and regular (I ordered on the regular store).

My status says Processing and provides no information as to when it will ship. Even though I ordered at 3:45am eastern, I had to verify my identity for the credit check and that didn't happen until 12:30pm or so. I talked to AT&T and they said that my order wasn't processed until then and thus would probably not ship until after the release date.

However, I have yet to get the 14-21 business day email. So, it seems no one really knows what is going on. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
 
Need help, I ordered my 64GB under my fathers phone number and his 16GB under mine, will I have a problem activating the 64GB under my phone number? We are all on a Family Plan but I'm the only one with the Unlimited Plan.

I think everyone is just confused on how AT&T is doing this. I ordered at 3:04EST and I also got the text at 12Noon yesterday however I got the email saying it was sent to the warehouse the morning before at 4:35AM.

I'm pretty sure we'll get out phones on the 21st
 
Ordered at 8:05EST yesterday morning w/ Premier.

Received confirmation email immediately but nothing since (no terms/conditions).

At some point overnight status changed from Pending to Preorder Processing and my card has been charged. At least it's progress :) Wish I knew when I could expect my phone though.

I woke up to day finding the same exact online status check for my Premier order: Cancelled. WTF? And we have to wait until Monday to contact them? This sucks!

I also have two $1.00 pending charges on my AMEX from AT&T Mobiity.

When you say "my card has been charged", do you mean the full amount ($286 w/ 199 iPhone, taxes, and activation fee)? Or just the $1 charge to make sure your account is real?
 
Ordered through Premier at 7:15 EST

Immediately got the 'as soon as Sept 21' email.

Since then, nothing. Order is Pending, but no CC charge or second email or text.

This is me from yesterday.

Me this morning:

Order has changed to 'Processing' (I believe it was like this when I half asleep checked at 1am). On the full version of that page (not mobile version) I see a 'cancel preorder' button.

Additionally, this shows up on the regular att 'my orders' page. My credit card has been charged the entire amount (no $1 charge).

im sure you can activate them as is, then swap sim cards.
 
I signed up for a new MobileShare account with 2 iPhone 5s. Received two emails within placing the order at 4:23am. Second email had my phone numbers listed and says they will be deliver on Sept 21st. My card has a pending charge of the entire amount with tax.

When I check my order status it has 2 iPhones in Processing and 2 Various SIMs in Processing. The email says the order was sent the their Warehouse for shipping.

I placed my order through the retention dept as soon as they opened yesterday. It took about 2 hours to get the terms and conditions email. It took until 6pm last night for anything to show up online as far as order status goes. So about 12 hours.

I ordered 2 IP5s yesterday at my local AT&T store. Received order status email before I left the store. Now 24 hours later it still does not show any order status under my online account.

I ordered through ATT last night. I got the terms and conditions email at 7:15 P.M. EST and I accepted immediately. I have a pending charge on my credit card, but when I check the order status I get nothing. I also never got any second email after the terms and conditions acceptance.

Paid via debit and there's a pending charge for $316 (32GB phone plus tax I'm guessing).
 
I needed to upgrade an eligible phone so I tried AT&T right at 2:01 CDT. That sight ran so slow, I opened up another window and logged onto the Apple Store. I ordered the phone as an upgrade, entered my AT&T data when requested, and the order went through at upgrade pricing ($300) immediately with email confirmation in minutes...delivering on 9/21. It was the most straightforward Apple pre-order I've ever had. I was back in bed by 2:20. When I closed Firefox, the AT&T site was still churning.

FAN discounts don't apply to hardware.
