I just got off the phone with ATT and they said my CC was declined and that had delayed shipping. They could fix the order but said the phone wouldn't ship until 2-3 weeks. I just told them to cancel the order and that I would try and snag one on Friday.
 
No problem.... did you have shipping to the store? I did and still back-ordered. Someone earlier said he stopped at the store the other day, same situation as us, and they said if ordered before 11am EDT it would arrive on the 21st. Sure hope so.

Same situation here. Talked to a supervisor over live chat today and he said I should have it by then as I ordered before the cut off. Shipping to the store has to cause problems I guess.
 
Yay - I can't believe it

So,
here's my story so far.
ordered online - regular account holder- 11:04 am EST on Friday, confirmation email said delivery on 21st.
Received the CSS service agreement two days ago.
Status went to shipped for the black 16gb and partially shipped for the white 16gb about an hour ago.(sim shipped but iphone didn't? - I am guessing this is temporary while they update the system)

just refreshed and everything is listed as shipped.

very confident i'll get it by friday - will update when I get the shipping number confirmation :cool:
 
maybe someone can clear this up - how can AT&T (as well as apple/verizon/etc) take "pre-orders," but then sell phones to those in line on friday?

Not complaining...just curious. Shouldn't all pre-orders come first? Stores shouldn't receive a stock if someone put an order for a phone but won't receive it for two weeks.

I agree that it goes against what we think it should be but if you think about it, everything works this way. All kinds of people and places get allotments. A "pre-order" allotment is the same way. Think about when you buy a ticket to a concert on pre-order, those "sell-out" as well, but there are always other places to get tickets because they received their own allotment to sell. Business/marketing/partnerships/secret handshakes/etc.
 
I believe you that you ordered on the 14th, but do you know why your order status says 9/15?

So, a lot of people who ordered via Premiere show that they ordered on the 14th, obviously, but on the regular wireless.att.com site the order date is showing 9/15 for some stupid reason. It's been referenced many times in the thread, and I think some have come to the conclusion that it will state the 15th because that's when the card was charged? Maybe? Not entirely sure.

Good to know. I didn't want to chance missing UPS/FedEX at my door so I had my 2 IP5s shipped to the store. Easy to pickup later on Friday (I hope). My store rep told me I would receive a call when they arrive.

Keep the faith....
 
Alright, so I'm starting to panic a little bit.

Ordered my phone at exactly 9:40am EST on Friday 9/14. Never got the 1st confirmation email, but I did get the second which said

"Your att.com order ************ has been processed"

It then proceeded to list my order number, phone number associated with the purchase and said "Pending Shipment"

A day or so later, my phone was charged for the 32gb Black phone but it was in pending. Yesterday, that charge disappeared (I'm guessing you don't get charged until it actually ships).

My order status currently says "Pending Shipment" but it also says it's now back-ordered, which it didn't say yesterday morning.

Should I panic? I don't understand why I never got that first confirmation email but I did get the second one. And when I ordered, on the website before I got to the checkout page it said delivered on 9/21/12.


Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

my status just changed to shipped within the past few minutes. Good luck to everyone else with their phones

Everything is saying shipped. Just waitint on the tracking. Pretty confident they will have it inthe store for me by friday. I had it shipped to the local store to avoid lost/damage plus my mailing address always gets mixed up with the next town over. Looking forward to it!

no, it's just a phone. seriously though, check back on Thursday and if you still don't have a tracking number then you know you won't get it for a couple more weeks. if you don't like that, you can always cancel your order and line up at wal-mart or apple store or radioshack on Friday morning.

if you ordered before around 11 am last Friday you'll be fine.

Still can't believe how obsessed I/we all are with our order statuses... I did this same thing when I ordered my iPhone 4 and I was over it about 30 minutes after getting it. Still, gotta keep checking everything... it'll change soon, right?!?? #

Lucky!!! I have the same exact order as you and ordered an hour earlier and I am still on backorder.

Shipped with no tracking number

Are we sure that this is correct that it has actually shipped? I'm not really sure I can trust any information that I get from ATT at this point. Would just love to have some tracking numbers at this point. Anybody who just got the shipped without tracking numbers ever actually get tracking numbers yet?
 
I ordered at 10:48AM EST, sept 14th through Premier. Black iPhone 32GB. Has shipped. No tracking number yet, but says shipped. I'm not worried.

Both order pages have the order date as Sept 14th for those curious.
