I am in your exact scenario. I ordered Friday around 7PM EST, due to incompetence from ATT. I was authorized to have my upgrade date pushed up 3 weeks several days before the preorder release. Everything was noted on my account, the only stipulation was I had to call and I couldn't order online. So I called on friday at around 6 AM. After being on hold for 3 hours I got through to a rep who refused to push up my upgrade date by 3 weeks. I spoke to her supervisor who also refused. Obviously at that point, being at work I couldn't call back or spend much longer on the phone to flip out. Instead I just called when I got home that night and the ATT rep apologized for the people who I spoke to that morning and said they should not have handled themselves that way. So I got my order through, like you did, but now I most likely have to way 2 weeks to get it. I'll keep my hopes up of getting it earlier though.
***I have the 9/17 order date as well, even though i ordered it on 9/14. Makes no sense.
