So in my timezone (central) pre-orders began at 2:00am. My order was complete at exactly 2:15am but was able to start filling out information at about 2:04am. I order from the apple website but I am an AT&T costumer and I upgraded my phone through them. I am still in the "processing phase" and was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

I was assuming since I ordered it within minutes of the release that I wouldnt have any problems but again I have been in the processing phase for days when people who ordered their phone HOURS after me have already had their phones ship!

Any ideas or feedback as to why this may be happening would be great! I read a lot of comments but couldnt really find the answer I was looking for!

I'm in the same boat. And actually I just checked and my credit card has not been billed either. Wondering if I should do something at this point...
 
Hers my story:
Bought two 64 GB iPhones on the premier direct business site at 12:05pm eastern time on the 14th. My credit card was billed the entire amount within the hour and I got an email at 8pm that night advising me it will ship in 14-21 days.

The site has shown in progress since my order date which did show up as it should as ordered 9/14/12.

Just checked and it shows shipped 9/19/12 via FedEx with a tracking number.

Just to let everyone know I am sure if you ordered through the premier business direct site anytime that day I'm sure you'll get the phone on the 21st. All along I was told the the premier business direct holds loads of phones for their business customers. Good luck!

I just think it's crazy that your order is being processed before mine. I ordered a 64GB black phone 4 hours before you (5am PST, 9/14) from Premier and I'm still showing as backordered. My order date shows as 9/15. I received the email last night saying I would receive the device "as soon as" the 21st. Next year, I will be converting my account to a standard consumer account so I can order through Apple.com. AT&T is just too unpredictable.
 
I logged into track my order this morning and I was surprised to find a tracking number!! It is being shipped FedEx, but there is no tracking information found just yet.
 
Not necessarily true. I remember the iphone4 situation and people in that exact position were getting their phones on launch day.

Exactly what happened to me for the 4 and I think the 4S, which I've mentioned numerous times here. My was still "backordered" and I got it on release day. The AT&T system has been messed up for a while now. This is nothing new.
 
I ordered black 32GB on 9/14 at 10:30AM EST through Premier. Finally got the second e-mail, only last night, around 11PM saying that my order was in progress and the delivery is "as soon as 9/21".

Today, checked status on here: https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status_results.jsp

Order status is "shipped" but no tracking number.

So to all the crazies (I include myself in this group) that are frantic wondering if you're gonna get your phone by the 21st.... we should make a poll to see how many people ordered by the cutoff (9/14 12PM EST or whatever it supposedly is) and received their phone on time. It would be interesting to see how many people did not receive their phone on time (9/21) through no fault of their own.

I had a pending charge on my CC but now it's gone. No sign of it. Order status shows "In Progress" and Qty Backordered: 1.

Although reading this thread a bit tells me some people who ordered 64gb also don't have any info.
 
an ATT CRS rep told me that sometimes, it may take up to a week even after the phone has been shipped to charge your CC stay calm guys
 
since it shipped today im hoping that overnight means thursday like my iphone 4 lol i got my iphone 4 a day early

Depending on your CC company, pending charges disappear after a few days, but are actually still there. They just don't display. It should be reflected in your available credit still, that's how you can tell without calling them.

This sounds very similar to my situation. Read my post from a couple minutes ago - we will very likely receive our phones on Friday.

omg just checked my order status and it says shipped! I'm so happy!

preordered 32GB iphone 5 black at retail store at 9:00AM EST in Puerto Rico!!

This gives me hope! I ordered later that day, but a Rep who obviously did not know what he was talking about said that all phone to PR would take from 7 to 14 days, so there is still hope for my case ;)

You're right... For some reason my CC company raised my credit limit yesterday and it threw me off. The remaining credit line definitely reflects the pending charges still, thanks

Good. I know how they sort it out too. Picture a long moving conveyor belt, with lots of boxes aka packages with each boxes bar code, either on its side, top, bottom are being scanned automatically as in goes on que. In the end of that line, are separators, this line goes to this region, other to this region of the USA, so on. Every time the machine scans, the system updates, when the truck leaves, our tracking goes LIVE. saw this on Discovery Channel's "How Are Things Made" show before. LOL

i dont get it. someone recently posted that they ordered at noon and have all the tracking info. what the hell did i do wrong? i got my confirmation email, i got the charge on my bank account (and then it went away)

why does ATT hate me? lol

The exact same thing happened to me. I don't know what the deal is.

My order was complete at 11:57 Pacific time and it still says "processing." I did it through the standard AT&T website by the way.

too bad. i just got lucky. maybe someone's CC had issues they lost their slots and i somehow got theirs.

-iPhone 16GB White ordered at 6:59AM PST 9/14 via Premier
-Received confirmation e-mail right away
-Order showed up 9/15 @ 10PM PST on regular AT&T status site with order date of 9/15
-Backorder quantity went to 0 9/17 @ 10AM PST
-Received confirmation e-mail about order at around 5-6PM PST 9/17
-Today, status changed from PROCESSING to SHIPPED with no tracking info yet. Can't search it using reference on UPS or FEDEX either.
 
People.....stop.

When are you guys going to realize - there is no reason to panic until tomorrow afternoon. Overnight shipping is simply that....OVERNIGHT. Your order can go to Backorder 0 tomorrow and you'll still get your phone on Friday. And even if you aren't one of the lucky ones to get your phone on Friday, why do you think calling AT&T every day is going to change that. It is what it is, they're not going to change your shipping just because you call them. Leave them alone and let them help people who really need their assistance, not someone who just wants to B***H and complain and be rude to them. It's not THEIR fault....it's YOURS.

Enough is enough.

Yes, I think that means they're labelled and sitting in the warehouse waiting to be picked up by FedEx. When FedEx picks them up and scans them, they'll be in their system.
