Ordered at 10am EST first day, status now shipped.

So glad I didn't stay up late to order it.
 
Just curious....

It seems that there are two "good" statuses:

  • it says "Shipped" with a "1" in the Qty Shipped column, but nothing in the Carrier column, and nothing in the Tracking Number column.

or

  • it says "In Progress", a "0" in the Shipped column, "FedEx" in the Carrier column, and a tracking # in the Tracking Number column.


Does anyone's status have all of the above columns complete? Meaning "Shipped", "1" in Qty shipped column, FedEx as carrier, and a tracking #? Doesn't seem to exist yet....
 
I order at 7:30 EDT on friday. Just recieved a similar email shown below:

ATT Status site shows 1 ordered, 0 backordered.

We wanted to confirm that your order is reserved and will ship in approximately 14 ? 21 business days.

I have exactly the same issue. Ordered 64GB black through premier @ 7:25 AM EST on 9/14. Just got that 14-21 day email an hour ago and status is still on backorder. Sigh...
 
Here's where I'm at.....

I have a shipping date of 9/17/12, a carrier that is UPS, but no tracking number......

And the item status is still "processing".....

i dont get it. someone recently posted that they ordered at noon and have all the tracking info. what the hell did i do wrong? i got my confirmation email, i got the charge on my bank account (and then it went away)

why does ATT hate me? lol

same exact situation but ordered at 8;00 AM eastern

So I ordered my phone at 9am CST and I got confirmation that it will arrive on the 21st. The next day (the 15th) I got an e-mail telling me to call customer service. They needed to verify my account which they did. I got another on Tuesday to call back. I called today and we figured out that they used the billing address on my At&t so it never got approved. They should have asked to verify that the first time. Fixed it today and finally got confirmation of my order but it says it will ship in "14 ? 21" days.

Did they screw me over?
 
14-21 Days shipping

I order on 9/14 at 5am EDT and got a confirmation email stating that I would get it on the 21st. I just received an email that just told me that I would get my phone in 14-21 days. I saw from the ATT site that my order was placed on 9/15 instead and is back-ordered. Looks like I got screwed by AT&T.
 
Ordered two phones:

1. 64GB Black. Ordered 9/14 at 5:56 AM CDT. Confirmation email arrived immediately. Second email arrived last evening. Item was never back-ordered and received a tracking number and shipped status this afternoon. Shipping date 9/19.

2. 32GB White. Ordered /14 at 6:00 AM CDT. Confirmation email arrived immediately. Second email arrived last evening. Item was never back-ordered and received a tracking number and shipped status during the night last night. Shipping date 9/17.

Both tracking numbers are FedEx and have not been active yet. Orders say they come from Premier. They are shipping to me in Minnesota.

Live chat agent on Tuesday told me anyone ordering before 9 AM Pacific would would have an iPhone shipped on Friday. Talked to another live chat agent Thursday that told that the warehouse had tagged my orders as processing between 10/4 and 10/15. Talking to different agents will give you conflicting information, obviously. However, it seems as if the first agent may have been correct or maybe both gave me the best information they had at the time.
 
Data point: My order recently changed from "processing" to "shipped". No tracking number or carrier shown. Ordered at about 7:15am cst on std AT&T site. My order date shows 9/14 and my email after ordering said I "will" receive it on 9/21.

I had the same issue and I just called premier to check status and he reassured me my phone would arrive on Friday and 10 minutes later I got the email with 14 ? 21 business days. I don't know what to believe at this point all I can do is wait it out.
 
I would ignore the CSS Agent for now. I have been told both 9/21 and 14-21 days in both emails and over the phone. If you see my post 2 pages back, there is hope as I received a "Final Confirmation" that is now guaranteeing mine will ship 9/21 and I ordered the same 64GB Black iPhone 5 a few hours later than you did. My order still says processing.

So I would still keep hope.

Yep, me too, what a kick in the nuts, tons of people ordering after us are getting filled. No biggie, another month won't matter. I have a feeling they just shoved all the premier folks to the bottom of the list for whatever reason.

It is going to suck having my wife using her iPhone 5 for the next month when she doesn't even really know what an iPhone is, in fact she will probably be pissed as it's a different size/weight/blah blah blah....
 
the more i read the more i feel that each carrier is doing their best in attempting to have all iPhones arrive on the release date. depending on which shipping carrier they use and transit time determines the shipping notification on the order status updates online.

COMPLETELY ONLY MY OPINION THOUGH. Could be completely wrong. Just trying to make since as to why one person ordering early has no shipping info while someone ordering later does. It just might be that the transit time from the shipping warehouse/hub requires a 2-day shipment while others only require a 1-day shipment.

then there is the option that even I'd rather not accept and that is AT&T is AT&T and they habitually screw up orders, or deliver orders late. The CSR's basically read from prompt cards/screens which have predetermined questions and their answers. They are trained to field and end the call as quickly as possible. If a call takes to long they are pressured by the call center sup. to end the call or forward it (high percentage are "accidentally dropped)

probably. same thing happened to me. at least you got an email and call. i got nothing.

backorder=0 about 10:15pm last night
2nd email about 10:30pm last night
 
That seems to be the consensus (scripted to say 14-21 days).

I think most everyone's still says IN PROGRESS or PROCESSING.

Goto www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status

enter your info there (look up by wireless number works for me-order number did not).

See if it says 1 or 0 under QTY BACKORDERED.

The consensus is if it says 0 your in good shape to get it on Friday.

I would assume you should get it Friday based on the time you ordered it. You ordered it earlier than I did. I ordered mine at 7:20 am est and, I'm looking poised to get it Friday (fingers crossed).

Still showing Backordered as of right now. We will see..

It does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to the madness. I am a premier account and mine just changed to shipped. I ordered 32GB black. Perhaps it has more to do with the color and size you ordered (supply) and the demand they were expecting.

That's ridiculous. They need to train their customer service agents better. Wasted about a total of 5 hours on hold to get screwed.

Never thought ordering an iPhone would be such a pain.
