ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

iPhone 5 Black 64 GB back-ordered is 0!

4:30 PM, iPhone 5 Black 64 GB back-ordered is 0, Pending Shipment, Status: Preorder Processing. Order on Premier around 9/14 9:30 AM EDT. Date ordered is 9/15 on status page. Received "Your AT&T Premier Order" email 9/18 11:49 PM.

Shipped around 8:00 PM EDT. No tracking number.

I don't think so.... All they do is read a script... "They will ship on 9/21", "It will be 2 to 3 weeks", "If you ordered before 9AM you will be fine", "sorry there is nothing I can do", "it must be Apple's fault", "it's a long trip from China" ... blah, blah, blah.

Actually they are temporary employees reading off of queue cards. Waste of time.

My company uses iPhones and we looked at when I was eligible for an upgrade without paying full price.. The website and the business premier reps said Feb. 1st
I told my IT dept to order a 5 and I would pay for the phone myself.
They ordered it Friday morning at 7:00am. got the confirmation of delivery by sept21st for a black 32gb for $750.
Someone in IT over the weekend cancelled my order due to a policy of no upgrades early. Not knowing I was going to pay for it myself.

Obviously I was very upset when I checked my status Monday and it was cancelled.
They reordered it Monday but now I get the 14-21 day delivery.
But what is odd is that now my phone only costs $550 for the exact same model.

Was ATT charging more for orders on Friday?

and just to add salt to the wound, my lighting to USB adapters arrived today.

Ordered Black 64 GB at about 9:14 AM EST.

Just went from back ordered to not.

I'm not holding up much hope for an appearance on Friday, but it's a step in the right direction.

We are business acct with AT&T and have premiere acct. Spoke to our rep on Wed before pre-order and requested them to place our pre-order Friday Sept 14 in the a.m. for 4 32gb phones.

Got a confirmation email at 1:50am on Sat. that the orders were placed. Didn't think anything of it til today since we haven't received a shipping conf email.

Just chatted with online premiere rep and the order was placed at 2:20pm 9/14. They said that i would receive either Friday or within 14-21 business days. Which of course means 21 days.

Guess there really isn't a point point of having a business rep. Lesson learned for next time.

Anyone else order this late on 9/14 and actually have a ship conf?

Can anyone who recently had their order go off of backorder share the beginning of their order #? Just wondering if there's a correlation.

I've been in backorder since 6:16 AM CDT on the 14th (non-premier, online). Order # begins with 1612

16GB Black ordered 9/14 @ 11:54am EDT

got a similar email for a 32GB Black ordered 9/14 @ 12:09pm EDT

I know this is minor, but technically, to be honest & fair, since its been 5 days since pre-orderes begain AT&T should be now saying ships in 9 - 16 days.

got second email last night around 2am, (confirmation but nothing specific)
just now back order went to zero
status still shows in progress, no tracking info yet.... im hopeful!
 
My two 32GB black Iphone's both show shipped! They were ordered on premier at 7:59am and 8:02am EST. No tracking number though, but at least they show shipped. :D

I still think you'll be fine. I'm in a similar situation (same phone, just came off backorder), and from everything I've seen, the next step after having the backorder status removed is to receive a shipment notification/tracking number. They'll be shipping phones up until late tomorrow afternoon for Friday delivery, so there is still plenty of time for our phones to ship.
 
Just an update.

My order is Status is still listed as In Progress. I have a supposed 9/17/12 shipment date and the carrier is UPS with a tracking number starting with 1Z1W**** which when I click on it takes me to a page that states the "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated." It is scheduled for pickup on 9/20/12 from somewhere and it is scheduled to deliver 9/21/12 via UPS Next Day Air Saver.

I am have an AT&T Premier FAN Business Account and I ordered the 64BG Black iPhone 5 at around 6:27a.m. EST from the Business Online Site and I live in Michigan.

Hope this covers any questions and bleeds some hope to others. :D

Mine went off backorder late last night. My order # begins with 1407.
 
tracking by reference

For those of you who have a status of "shipped" but no tracking number, have you tried tracking by reference in the UPS or Fedex sites? I've read that it works for a lot of people, yet when I tried it didnt work for me. :(
 
Can everyone please post their Premier shipping confirmation emails? I still don't know what they look like after 50 pages of them.
 
im going to have to get out of this thread. everyone keeps saying how their order changed to shipped and mine is still stuck at back ordered despite the fact that i ordered at 9:15am and got an email that said it would be delivered on 9/21.

blah. this is torture. haha

i ordered an hour before u and i got 32 gb black. I got that email last night at the same time as u.. :confused:

Status:Shipped no TR#

My status has said SHIPPED since this morning but I have not received a TR#. Plus the money has been taken out of my account as of this morning. Pretty confident it will be here friday!
 
Updated at&t shipping info

Just got off the phone with a rep.

She said, if you ordered ANYTIME on 9/14, your phone will arrive Friday or the week after. She is now saying 4-14 days.

Again, this is just one rep...but still very hopeful that this is true!
 
Anybody else's looking like this where it says shipped but no tracking or ship date?
