Do you think they go in order? I'm 1406 and still on backorder for a 32gb. Ordered at 2:07am central.
AT&T is weird.. but i do feel bad for those that ordered earlier than I did and have theirs on back ordered.
I ordered mine through premier on Friday 9/14 at around 11:40am PST so thats 2:40 EST. On the status page it shows ordered placed 9/14 and today my status got updated to shipped!! SWEEET!! Hopefully everyone else that ordered before me can get theirs on Friday also

Same here. Ordered at 8:45am EST, 16GB white, came off backorder last night but still no shipped status or tracking #...
Mine changed to shipped about an hour ago and no tracking number yet.
Ordered online 12:50am pacific time 16 white.
incorrect. The key thing is the backorder column. My day says 9/15 but has shipped.
that is what mine says as well since this morning. I checked my account they took the money out so I think I am good. Do you concur?
No, because they haven't shipped yet - they are being prepped for shipping (unless it's coming from china) My shipping label was printed, but UPS has not yet picked up my box.
I got my confirmation number at 3:03 am est on 9/14 that it would ship on the 21st but I was backordered. I called CSR and they told me after 10/4 because I didn't accept the T&C which I never even received. My call got dropped so I called again and they said if I didn't get an email saying the new ship date I shouldn't worry and if its not here on the 21st to give them a call again.
I just checked my status after 5 hours and it just got off backordered!!! So all of you that ordered early and still in backordered but never got a new email, it will probably come off backorder later tonight or early tomorrow and hopefully have next day delivery. Good luck guys!

I will chime in here... just a data point:
ordered att online at 11:20am central time for my wife black 16gb. The backorder changed from 1 to 0 last night but not yet shipped.
My white 32gb which was ordered about 5 minutes later or closer to 11:30am central time is still showing backordered and I dont expect that one to come this friday. However I am not in any kind of rush.
Both phones were ordered after the "cutoff" but appears 1 will be arriving for Friday.

One of mine says shipped. I ordered at 4:27AM PDT. The other is processing, but I didn't put the order in for it until about 1:30PM.
I'm SOOO FRUSTRATED I've always bought my iPhones outright and was never in a contract. On 9/12 affer the announcement, I decided to call ATT CSR to check if I'm eligible for an upgrade (cause I want to do the 2-year this time round). I was already prepared for a YES but of course, they screwed me up 1.5 years ago when I got my iPhone 4! I paid full price for it but they put me on a contract without my knowledge. So the CSR managed to track it down and confirmed that I shouldnt be in a contract that will only be due on 02/2013. She talked to the manager and etc and they said they will work on it and resolve it within 24 hours and call me back (they never did till now btw). However, they said that I can go in-store and the store rep should be able to override it for me with no problem. What I dont understand is that WHY the store rep could do it and not the CSR or manager?
So anyway, on 9/14, i went to the store exactly at 9am Central and was first in line. I managed to order it and etc and got a confirmation email saying that I'll get it in 14-21 days!!! Ugh!! I was up at midnight but couldnt do anything due to ATT's BS!
As of now, my status is still PROCESSING and still ONE on BACKORDER. I guess I'll be waiting
