I'm SOOO FRUSTRATED 🙁 I've always bought my iPhones outright and was never in a contract. On 9/12 affer the announcement, I decided to call ATT CSR to check if I'm eligible for an upgrade (cause I want to do the 2-year this time round). I was already prepared for a YES but of course, they screwed me up 1.5 years ago when I got my iPhone 4! I paid full price for it but they put me on a contract without my knowledge. So the CSR managed to track it down and confirmed that I shouldnt be in a contract that will only be due on 02/2013. She talked to the manager and etc and they said they will work on it and resolve it within 24 hours and call me back (they never did till now btw). However, they said that I can go in-store and the store rep should be able to override it for me with no problem. What I dont understand is that WHY the store rep could do it and not the CSR or manager?
So anyway, on 9/14, i went to the store exactly at 9am Central and was first in line. I managed to order it and etc and got a confirmation email saying that I'll get it in 14-21 days!!! Ugh!! I was up at midnight but couldnt do anything due to ATT's BS!
As of now, my status is still PROCESSING and still ONE on BACKORDER. I guess I'll be waiting 🙁
