I'm SOOO FRUSTRATEDI've always bought my iPhones outright and was never in a contract. On 9/12 affer the announcement, I decided to call ATT CSR to check if I'm eligible for an upgrade (cause I want to do the 2-year this time round). I was already prepared for a YES but of course, they screwed me up 1.5 years ago when I got my iPhone 4! I paid full price for it but they put me on a contract without my knowledge. So the CSR managed to track it down and confirmed that I shouldnt be in a contract that will only be due on 02/2013. She talked to the manager and etc and they said they will work on it and resolve it within 24 hours and call me back (they never did till now btw). However, they said that I can go in-store and the store rep should be able to override it for me with no problem. What I dont understand is that WHY the store rep could do it and not the CSR or manager?
So anyway, on 9/14, i went to the store exactly at 9am Central and was first in line. I managed to order it and etc and got a confirmation email saying that I'll get it in 14-21 days!!! Ugh!! I was up at midnight but couldnt do anything due to ATT's BS!
As of now, my status is still PROCESSING and still ONE on BACKORDER. I guess I'll be waiting![]()
Whats the CSS email you, and others, are referring to? My status was changed from in progress to shipped sometime overnight yet I havent received any email.
Is the CSS email only for Premier users?

Not true. Same situation for me (ordered 9/14 7AM EST) and my status is updated to "shipped" as of this afternoon. What is your back order status. 0?

Just to clarify.... ordered in-store 9/14 @ 9:20am. Got my CSS papers printed out for me at the store. Got a order confirmation email as I was at the counter. Ordered 1 BLK and 1 WHT 16GB - hasn't changed from back-ordered since early Monday.
Just spoke with an att CSR, she told me that my phone is back ordered and won't receive it till 14-21 days after the 21st. Even though I ordered it in-store at 10:30am EST on the 14th. An hour and a half before the cut-off point! At this point I'm not trusting their word as you get a different response from every CSR. What ever!

Go to UPS.com or Fedex.com and try tracking by REFERENCE?
Just put in your phone number for the reference, and leave everything else blank (UPS) or add your zip/country (For FedEx).
I read where one guy didn't have any tracking info, but found where his shipment was this way.
On a side note, I don't have enough space open on my iPhone 4 16GB to update to iOS 6. I dont really want to remove anything. Another reason why my iPhone 5 needs to get here ASAP. Also, it'd be cool to be surprised with iOS 6 on the 5 the first time I use it.
Im not a premier user and never got one of these CSS emails. Id still like to know what they are. My 16gb Black/Slate status was changed from processing to shipped sometime overnight, yet no email and no tracking. Cant even track it by reference.
My back order status is still 1
Anybody else's looking like this where it says shipped but no tracking or ship date?
