Since my wife's 16GB is being shipped by UPS and my 64GB is being shipped by FedEx, I'd guess that the above info is inaccurate.

ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Just an update.
I ordered 64gb iPhone 5 via iPhone via ATT premier site last Friday at 06:30 eastern.
Immediately I got an email saying I should receive it "as soon as 9/21".
Days went by and my back order status went to 0 one or two days ago.
This morning I got the same email as before. "As soon as 9/21. "
I looked again and saw a UPS tracking number with a ship date of 9/15. But 0 shown shipped.
This evening I looked at UPS site. It shows ship date of 9/20 via next day air.
So there you have it.
The AT&T fulfillment group seems to have a handle On things. It also seems, that they don't talk to the customer service representatives at all. I would trust zero coming from the customer service representatives regarding shipping. It seems that been doing nothing but giving misinformation.

All three of mine have now shipped:
1) 32 GB Black - ordered 7/14 @ 7:59 EST via Premier Online, status: shipped
2) 16 GB Black - ordered 7/14 @ 8:02 EST via Premier Online, status: shipped
3) 32 GB White - ordered 7/15 @ 7:45 EST by telephone sales, status: shipped!!!
The telephone sales rep had initially stated that the order on 7/15 would not be available for shipment for 14-21 days!!! It actually was listed as shipped FIRST!!! Go Figure!

Ok I have a question. I pre-ordered at 3:06 am EST time on the 14th. Does anyone have a tracking number yet? My shipment status is still processing and it says shipping date was 9/17... I can't wait, but I'm just wondering if this is normal.

I have an order number and my account still shows my order as processing. I'm nervous though from reading all these replies of people talking about email confirmations. I've not received any emails, only a text message confirmation. (I ordered the 14th at 5am PST).

My order # begins with 16. I ordered from the normal att site around 8:20am CST on 9/14. My status as of this morning now says shipped, but no tracking info. I never had any back-ordered notices etc..
16 white is shipped with no info, 32 black says processing but shipper is Fedex and has a tracking #.
I could be wrong but i asked my friend who works in att and he said check your order number if its greater than 1500 than you wont be getting the phone on launch day.

I have one tracking number which is 1021 and i already received my tracking number way back, but also i have one more order # 1891 which is still back ordered. Both the order were placed on 14 at same time but i don't know what happened here.

mine still hasn't got the tracking it. i called them and they said expected deliver date oct 4 :/
