Just for clarity: I ordered my 32GB black at around 12:10am PDT on 9/14 through AT&T's regular customer website. I received two emails within 10 minutes, and one of them stated that my iPhone will be delivered on 9/21. I received a text Friday morning congratulating me and telling me that my preorder has been processed. I received the CSS email on Monday. Backordered dropped to zero on Monday as well (I think).

I have a feeling that the tracking numbers will go live at some point tonight/early morning. I am confident that it will arrive on Friday.

I have a fedex tracking # but my order shows still in progress. I talked to someone at the Fedex hub where I'm hoping to be able to pick up my phone, she said that after it has been picked up and scanned, the info will be on their site. For some reason, fedex is different than ups where the label info shows up on their site as soon as the label is created, fedex doesn't show that.
 
I know nobody can actually answer this, but what do you feel the chances of not getting a phone this week even though the online status says "shipped" as most of the reps are stating, that it would still come in 14-21? just a question.
 
Same. All the tracking number should update by tonight.

My pending CC charge is still there. It's been there since 9/14.

well I ended up stopping at Best Buy tonight on way home to put a pre order in there just in case this does not work out in my favor tonight into tomorrow... they told me they would call me tomorrow and let me know if I made the cut...otherwise I will be standing in line at either an ATT store or an apple store friday morning
 
- Iphone 5 Black ordered thru regular AT&T website approx 1pm EST on 9/14. Website still stated 9/21 delivery, however confirmation email received immediatly stated 14-21 days for delivery.

- Qty Backordered changed from 1 to 0 overnight last night.

- CSS email received today (9/19) @ 10:44am EST.

Hoping for more updates tonight and to get for friday. No shipped status yet, and unable to find thru UPS/FEDEX.

UPDATE: Approx 7:30pm EST (9/19) status changed to shipped on bth AT&T tracking sites, however no tracking number yet, and nothing on UPS/FEDEX yet.

Things are looking up!

Well...

Ordered 9/16 - i was in the Boundary Waters all week. Around 3 PM CDT, through the reg ATT site. Order number starts with 1612. Shows backordered as of this post.

I'm not really expecting a 9/21 delivery. But this thread has me clinging to a thread of hope and I've been obsessively checking my order status because of all of you.

I hate you all.

I think tomorrow I'll do all sorts of favors and good deeds so maybe the karma gods will smile upon me.

I think I have a problem...I ordered my phone, blah, blah, blah. I have my tracking # for UPS. Here's my issue.....

I used a $250 gift card to purchase the phone. The funds $214 are still in a 30-day "pre-authorization" hold from ATT, making my balance $36.

I talked to ATT and they said they will charge my account tomorrow when my phone is shipped. Are these funds going to be available for ATT to use? Common sense tells me that the money is being held for ATT to use. The fear of not getting my phone has me doubting that and that they will try to put a new charge through.

UGH! I just want this to be over!!!!!

Can anyone answer this question for me?

I had to order to the AT&T store. How will I know when the phone arrives to the store, if say, the order status website is wrong? What if I'm "backordered" online but it actually showed up Friday.

I have a feeling that if I called and asked they would read the same order status I see, but the phone was actually in the back.

Whenever FedEx scans them. It sounds like they are labelled and ready to be picked up by FedEx, so once FedEx picks them up and takes them to the sorting facility they'll be scanned and updated. Either tonight or tomorrow morning.

AT&T Premier Chat is now open. It's been closed until today. Now you can get the status of your order from a chat rep instead of waiting forever on the phone. They're a bit slow responding, but you can do your thing on your computer while waiting. I made it through the pre-ordering with a 9/21 delivery date from the email confirmation. This is what the chat rep told me as of this post:

Kristine L.: The current status of your order is Activated. I am unable to provide any further information on this order since I am not yet able to view its shipping date and tracking number. We expect that your order should ship within the next 14 to 21 business days. You will be receiving an email confirming the shipping expectation for your new iPhone. For any further questions, you would need to contact our inbound center at 866-499-8008.​

Not quite sure what to make of this. Ordered 32gb white & 16gb white at 9 am est over phone 9/14, accepted t&c 9/15 because it went to spam and wasn't aware my order didn't count until it was accepted.

Michael : I'm highly upset that my order date for the iPhone is showing 9/15 when I have an email at 10:04 am est on 9/14 with my order # of 90***************. I called as soon as you guys opened to make sure I would receive the phone Friday
David Mathers: I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Let me go ahead and assist you.

Michael: The rep I ordered from told me it would be delivered 9/21. He told me I had to accept the terms and conditions before it could ship BUT he failed to tell me that my order basically didn't even count until that was accepted. And that email for the terms went to spam folder so I didn't accept the terms until 9/15. He even told me I had to make sure I paid my bill by 9/18 or it wouldnt ship and I made sure I did that too
Michael : Can't you see my order was initially created 9/14? Why wouldn't I be told that I didn't get a place in line for 9/21 delivery until the terms were accepted. Obviously I called early to make sure I would get it Friday and he even was aware of that

David Mathers: I am terribly sorry about that Mr. G. Can you please verify when did you accept the terms and conditions in your e-mail?
Michael : Not until 9/15 at around 3pm est , it went to spam folder at first, plus I didn't know it was such an immediate thing I had to do otherwise I would have been searching and waiting for that email

Michael : I was actualy told by customer service on 9/13 that I could call when it went on sale and I set an alarm for 3 am but you guys were closed so I had to wait until 7 am

Michael: If you really have no clue when that's fine but I'm just getting confused. I know this is all you guys have been dealing with all week .
Michael: It makes sense sort of except for the part of me being on the 14-21 day list lol

Still back ordered

Bought mine through the AT&T website at 3:20am EDT on the 14th. Got the 64gb black and had no issues. Got my confirmation email right away and ordered showed active sometime later in the day. I've been "In Progress" and "back ordered" ever since. CSR could only tell me that because I was before 9am, I should get the phone on the 21st. I'm starting to think I'm not getting the phone on the 21st. Can't figure out how people who ordered many hours after me have gotten shipping information. Definitely not feeling like it was first come, first serve.
 
Guys, I think I am getting my phone shipped out in the second batch:(.I am still backordered, plus I did pre-order at 10pm est on the 14th.
 
People who have tracking numbers with FedEx.......which model did you order?

I ordered a 32GB black, and https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status shows me my tracking number with FedEx but still states "In Progress" as my status.

Same deal with me. I ordered 32GB Black from regular AT&T site at 3:04AM or so EST. I received both confirmation e-mails by 3:11AM EST. Received the congratulations text and today I have my FedEx tracking numbers (inactive) but still showing as in progress with a ship date of 9/16. I have 0 in backorder. My card had a pending charge on it then it fell off. I am assuming and hoping that there will be movement tomorrow. Not sweating it though
 
Ive been thinking about this for awhile...Has anyone who has talked to a live rep, actually had them say their delivery is slated for the 21st, they may be advised to just say the 14-21 days for precautionary measures.

QYT Shipped "1"
Back-order "0"

But no tracking

I'd call the company/bank that manages the gift card. you're right that the money should be held for when ATT posts the charge but that doesn't mean things always work out that way. Although I don't think there is much you can do about it at this stage. I'm assuming ATT won't let you use another card just in case?

We have identical Order numbers. Well the first 4. I ordered on 9/14 though but my order status has an order date of 9/17. :confused:

Ive had two different live reps tell me both dates... very frustrating. Seems to be a common theme within the AT&T corporation
