not quite sure what to make of this. Ordered 32gb white & 16gb white at 9 am est over phone 9/14, accepted t&c 9/15 because it went to spam and wasn't aware my order didn't count until it was accepted.

michael : I'm highly upset that my order date for the iphone is showing 9/15 when i have an email at 10:04 am est on 9/14 with my order # of 90***************. I called as soon as you guys opened to make sure i would receive the phone friday

michael: The rep i ordered from told me it would be delivered 9/21. He told me i had to accept the terms and conditions before it could ship but he failed to tell me that my order basically didn't even count until that was accepted. And that email for the terms went to spam folder so i didn't accept the terms until 9/15. He even told me i had to make sure i paid my bill by 9/18 or it wouldnt ship and i made sure i did that too
michael : Can't you see my order was initially created 9/14? Why wouldn't i be told that i didn't get a place in line for 9/21 delivery until the terms were accepted. Obviously i called early to make sure i would get it friday and he even was aware of that

michael : Not until 9/15 at around 3pm est , it went to spam folder at first, plus i didn't know it was such an immediate thing i had to do otherwise i would have been searching and waiting for that email
david mathers: Mr. G, expect to have your device 3-5 business days after you accepted the terms and conditions.
michael : I was actualy told by customer service on 9/13 that i could call when it went on sale and i set an alarm for 3 am but you guys were closed so i had to wait until 7 am
michael : I accepted 9/15, does it even show that i ordered 9/14?
david mathers: It shows here that you ordered on 9/14 but it will only push through once you have accepted the terms and conditions.
michael: Am i on the 14-21 day list or is there anyway it will be shipped this week

michael: It is very disappointing that i wasn't told that important information about the terms, i ordered on time it should go by 9/14 and to boot have to pay $36 per line , very poor customer service
michael : So no idea when it's supposed to ship? You just said above expect to have your device 3-5 days after you accepted the terms
david mathers: I am so sorry for the misinformation mr. G. Expect to have your device on or before 21st of september. I will take note of this interaction so you do not have to repeat yourself.
michael: Alright although i'm still confused because you're telling me two different things
michael : You said 14-21 day list but then said on or before sept 21
david mathers: You process the order on the span of 14th of september to 21st of september. You accepted the terms and conditions 15th of september. So basically you will have your device 21st of september or earlier. Is that make sense?
michael: If you really have no clue when that's fine but i'm just getting confused. I know this is all you guys have been dealing with all week .
Michael: It makes sense sort of except for the part of me being on the 14-21 day list lol

Who ordered a white iPhone 5 at 5:30 in the morning and has shipped? It seems like everyone here says their phone is being shipped, but dont say when and what kind they order. Did any of you whose order shipped was placed at at&ts regular site after 5:30 and has shipped?

For some reason, when I asked AT&T for tracking info, they still tell me it's 14-21 days even though their website says it has been shipped.

My card was pending and when I checked my statements the next day it was gone. There was no transaction under AT&T so I called and CSR told me that the phone was still in progress. What does it mean?

i placed my order at 7:30 pm pst, accepted my terms and conditions at 8:20am. Mine shows that it has shipped but there isn't any tracking or carrier info.

We have identical Order numbers. Well the first 4. I ordered on 9/14 though but my order status has an order date of 9/17.

I have the same first four and I ordered 9/14 at 6:16 AM. And my order shows the correct 9/14 date.

Go figure.

Hope this helps some:

Ordered 10:15-10:20 EST, 1 White 32GB and 1 Black 32GB (2 separate orders).
I am premier, ordered off of premier website.
Online order date shows as 9/15, cc charge pending as of 9/15.

Last night around 10:00pm EST my orders finally came off backorder. Black first, and white phone about an hour later.

Around 1:00 AM I received auto emails as a follow up to order. No additional information other than what I already knew (I have a phone reserved, may receive by 9/21).

Today the white one showed "shipped" (no tracking listed yet) around 3:50 EST and black one just showed up as "Shipped" about 10 minutes ago. Still haven't received tracking information, but am completely confident I will get phone Friday.

Oh, and I did a live chat on ATT website yesterday and the lady confirmed that I was definitely going to get my phone between 10/5-10/14 with certainty after reviewing my orders. She even told me that their previous statement of orders before 11:00 am EST getting shipped was no longer valid because the demand was higher than expected. I barely made the 11:00 cut off, and am getting my phone. Don't believe what they tell you. They have no clue.

Oh, and she also told me that they would not have any additional stock in stores, only preorders. So those looking to stand in line, not sure if that is legit or not.

You know I chatted with a rep too and he told me that the 9/21 date was a ship date, not a delivery date. He also said that the 9/21 date was when in-store pre-orders could be picked up, not a general release date. Both of these statements are wrong. My iphone has been shipped and will be delivered on Friday. I have a tracking number and everything! It's amazing how ill informed these AT&T reps can be.......

It's typical tracking numbers. They just haven't been scanned into the system yet. See quote below.

Whenever FedEx scans them. It sounds like they are labelled and ready to be picked up by FedEx, so once FedEx picks them up and takes them to the sorting facility they'll be scanned and updated. Either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Some people have had reps tell them regardless it goes by order time and others say different, they really just don't know, for some reason I don't think they were prepared for the amount of orders, why I have no clue. Will definitely be ordering from Apple next time

I think I have a problem...I ordered my phone, blah, blah, blah. I have my tracking # for UPS. Here's my issue.....

I used a $250 gift card to purchase the phone. The funds $214 are still in a 30-day "pre-authorization" hold from ATT, making my balance $36.

I talked to ATT and they said they will charge my account tomorrow when my phone is shipped. Are these funds going to be available for ATT to use? Common sense tells me that the money is being held for ATT to use. The fear of not getting my phone has me doubting that and that they will try to put a new charge through.

I'd call the company/bank that manages the gift card. you're right that the money should be held for when ATT posts the charge but that doesn't mean things always work out that way. Although I don't think there is much you can do about it at this stage. I'm assuming ATT won't let you use another card just in case?

I called the bank, but they won't give me an answer - and that's partially my fault. they want the account number, but I wouldn't give it to them because I don't want them poking and proding at the account and make things worse (just in case!). They said if they don't know who I am, they won't give me an answer. I said...in general...."if a merchant puts a pre-auth on a gift card, is that money held for them and still available for them to settle" or is that money in limbo until they drop off. They said, we're sorry, if we don't know who you are, we are not answering your question.

I'm afraid to make any changes with ATT becuase I really, really want my phone. I don't know what to do!
