Who ordered a white iPhone 5 at 5:30 in the morning and has shipped? It seems like everyone here says their phone is being shipped, but dont say when and what kind they order. Did any of you whose order shipped was placed at at&ts regular site after 5:30 and has shipped?

I ordered a 16gb white iPhone at 5am PST and I'm showing as shipped. I have no tracking number though and have not been charged. And I ordered on the AT& T site.
 
Can someone help me out? i ordered mine on 9.14.2012 at the att store at 9am sharp since thats the time they opened here. I ordered a 16gb black iphone 5 and i got nothing just says backordered. my friend was behind me and he got a 32 gb black iphone 5 and his already shipped out but he has no carrier or tracking number. do you think i will get my phone on release day?
 
Ordered a 64GB black through Premier at 7:04. Just got my (not yet live) tracking number in the last few minutes. Shows a 9/19 ship date and "in progress."

Here's my story:

I have had a 3GS since 2009 (?), too cheap, too lazy, or just didn't think it was worth the while to buy a new iphone. After so many updates to the iOS and the phone becoming interminably slow, I finally relented. I set my alarm to 2:59 EST on Sept. 14. The Apple site was not allowing me to order an iPhone, so I went to AT&T and ordered a Black 64GB by 3:11.

I was excited to get a new iPhone, so to pass the time, I went to this thread as a form of entertainment. After 4,000+ posts, I started to realize the whining and complaining was a bit sad, so stopped reading. It is no longer funny (probably wasn't after the first dozen or so posts, but I couldn't stop myself [my bad]).

Yes, I probably will get the phone on Friday (have a tracking number], but if I had to wait two more weeks, so what? After all, I've been waiting for well over a year to update...
 
I called the bank, but they won't give me an answer - and that's partially my fault. they want the account number, but I wouldn't give it to them because I don't want them poking and proding at the account and make things worse (just in case!). They said if they don't know who I am, they won't give me an answer. I said...in general...."if a merchant puts a pre-auth on a gift card, is that money held for them and still available for them to settle" or is that money in limbo until they drop off. They said, we're sorry, if we don't know who you are, we are not answering your question.

I'm afraid to make any changes with ATT becuase I really, really want my phone. I don't know what to do!

If you're afraid they're going to mess it up and don't want to give them the info, I think you're stuck waiting to see what happens. It seems like it shouldn't be a problem. If someone has a $500 credit line and there is an authorization for $400, the charge should be able to go thru without it saying there's not enough money. The giftcard makes it questionable though. Hope it goes thru for you.
 
I ordered (2) 16gb whT iPhones 5 @ 6:24CDT (4:24pst) and have yet to see anything short of order processing and tracking number pending shipment.
I've received (3) confirmation emails (1 was the CSS) and a text. So I'll be waiting on pins and needles to see what happens.
 
To the people seeing "shipped" on their order status, did you get an email confirmation of your shipment?

Applecare+ purchase question

How does purchasing AppleCare+ work when ordering through AT&T? If you have to purchase it at the same time you purchase the phone, as Apple now requires, how does that work when you can't order it through the AT&T website?

They say 14 days or more so their asses are covered.

I think you can purchase it within 30 days at the Apple store.

I ordered mine at 6am on the 14th. Mine shows Shipped as of this morning 5am. White 16gb, but no tracking info yet.

My order shows shipped on the website, same as egeek84, BUT I also got this email today:

"Thank you for your recent purchase from the AT&T Premier Online Store. We're pleased that you chose AT&T as your service provider.

We wanted to confirm that your order is reserved and will ship in approximately 14 ? 21 business days."

I ordered iPhone 5 32GB Black online on 9/14 at 8:24 AM CST.
 
Worried

I ordered my White 32 GB at 12:02 AM PT on Friday, order number starting with 1306. Since then nothing has changed other than AT&T charging my card and then taking off the charge. The order continues to show as "Processing". I called AT&T this afternoon. After the typical rigamarole I was told that the phone would SHIP ON 9/21. I replied that I have the confirmation that shows that I should RECEIVE the phone on 9/21. Then the phone support person said that I would, in fact, receive the phone on Friday. I asked for a tracking number or something to confirm that. They couldn't give me one and asked me to keep checking the website. I was also told that I would get my phone via USPS, not UPS or FedEx, which I found unusual.

The order status page (https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/) is now showing that my phone has "Shipped," but there is no tracking number. Ordered from Premier on 9/14 at 5am PST. Order date was changed to 9/15 on the status site. Received second confirmation email last night from Premier and backorder changed to 0 a few hours ago.

Can't wait to get a tracking number!

16gig (white) :apple: iPhone 5 ordered at 5:10am PST via AT&T Premier showing as shipped now via Order Status, but no tracking number. On the premier order status site, still showing as "Preorder Processing".

I'm not going to freak out about it. Your order will ship when it ships, calling/chatting with AT&T and complaining isn't helping the matter. It's been stated many times over, CS reps are very often wrong and have no idea what they're talking about. Every CS chat transcript posted seems to result in nothing useful considering nobody even trusts what they have to say. Stop flipping out over a phone :eek: it's getting sad.
