ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I ordered a 16gb black and I live fairly close to a warehouse so I hope that is why mine hasn't shipped but I just might be one of the unlucky ones that got up early and ordered just to get it in October. However if its not at my house by mid next week I'm canceling and switching to nTelos regional carrier they get the i5 on the 28th

1 Black 16GB / 1 White 16GB

Order time 9:44 PST

Both back ordered.
 
And then depression set in.

So I ordered two phones seperately within 10 mins of each other. Both 16gb one white one black. Normal AT&T site. Order completed at 8:26am est on the 14th. Got confirmation emails seconds later and text within an hour. Emails both said delivery on the 21st.

White has shipped with tracking numbers. Left TX yesterday.
Black is showing backordered. A call to csr yesterday gave me hope. A VERY nice lady said my phone was in the wharehouse. She assured me that everyone who ordered before the time cutoff had a phone. She said that the only issue was the processing of all the labels and data entry and not to worry about what the site says. She said she fully expected the black phone to be delivered on the 21st as well.

We'll see.
 
I'm in the exact same boat. Now my pending charge is no longer on my credit card. It isn't in a regular charge either. WTF

ordered last friday, 9:15am, was told by email "will deliver on 9/21". other people who ordered way after me have their tracking info. and im still "back ordered".

anyone else? seriously, what the hell is going on here. the charge to my account never even came back. but i havent heard a word from ATT. no emails, calls, texts, nothing.

32G are def the most popular, 64 white being the least popular, which is probably why I'm lucky to get mine tomorrow.

Thanks! However, I don't think this will be necessary for most people as there is no signature required. And if I were the FedEx dude making all those deliveries, I would probably leave it at the doorstep or wherever. But I think this should be stickied!

Btw, the bird is the word! :)

You were told "not to worry", I was told "yes that's correct [unfortunately].

I'm still back-ordered. Who knows what to expect at this point.

What gives? I thought by today I would get a tracking # and everything since yesterday Status was Shipped...

Anyone know what N/A means?

I keep thinking. Once I get the phone then what? It's going to be better than the 4s, but I mean it's still just a phone, right? I think this is where all the excitement lies, is waiting for the damn thing. Anyone else agree? I mean I been using iOS 6 for months in beta so I'm not as reved up maybe I don't know. At the same time...I am excited though. I think I just contridicted myself, but that's ok. :confused: :) :D :eek:

Did anybody else use their wife/gf's upgrade and need to switch the phone to their line with unlimited data? I'm not sure how to switch phones while keeping my grandfathered unlimited plan in tact. Any ideas?
 
Iphone shipping

for many of the people who ordered getting a date of 9/21. your order should ship today from a place inside your country. att has all the iphones in your country. for the us it is likely to ship from texas. the order status may update to shipped but not show a tracking number. from what i can tell. you do not need to sign for att orders. can anyone confirm that.

I was going to do this with Verizon. Not sure. I guess you could temporaily get a data plan for the other line, then switch it over to the one with unlimited do a one for one swap old iphone for new one.
 
Even if all of this is just a screw up and the phones arrive tomorrow it still bad for those of us who never received tracking info.

Should I stay home, should I not? I'd rather KNOW I'm not getting it and move on than think MAYBE I will and have to wait around in case since I never received tracking info.

This isn't completely ridiculous to consider since there's evidence in the past of statuses not changing but phones being delivered.

It means "Not Applicable".

Well my order number starts with 9041 also, but I ordered 7:30 am Friday via the phone, of course then it took 3 hours for the stupid t&c email to get to me, immediately completed it at 10:30 am, got the order confirm at like 1 am on Saturday and have heard nothing since, still on backorder, etc. :mad:
 
Well, my order has now changed to shipped, but when I track it, it shows the destination as saint cloud, fl. Funny, I'm in Mississippi?

Order placed around 8:30am EST on 14th
64gig black
got second email around 2am (19th), (confirmation but nothing specific)
order went to back ordered zero around 2pm EST sept 19th 10:30EST
shipped "1" no tracking data 10pm (19th)
status now says Shipped 11pm (19th)
got CSS email at 9am EST (20th)

Update... 20th 10:15am EST now have tracking number.

fedex says they'll hold it at the local office i can pick it up at 9am.
