What's the story with all this "terms and conditions" stuff? Is that only for new AT&T customers? I have been a customer for many years, I did not have to accept anything. I placed my order at 2:30AM on Friday the 14th. Got confirmation email right away. Now I have a UPS tracking number and my phone is due to be delivered between 2:30 and 6:30 PM tomorrow.

i have no idea. i have also been a customer for 10 years and was not asked to accept any terms and conditions. i placed my order, got my confirmation email, and that is all.

i have no idea why the rep is telling me my terms and conditions were not accepted till 2pm! i have no clue.

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

Does anyone's UPS still stay this? My order status on the AT&T Website says shipped but my ups still hasn't updated

I had to check a box that said I accepted the terms before I could even advance to the next page in the ordering process. I have not seen anyone else mention this which is really odd.

i did the same thing. when i ordered my phone at 9:15am. Not at 2:55pm like the CSR is telling me
 
I'm still backordered. I ordered a 32GB white in store at 9:11 AM Eastern. I'm super annoyed I'm STILL on backorder and people who ordered literally HOURS after I did have tracking numbers. ridiculous.
 
Went off backorder Wednesday just after noon EST. Backorder went 0 for a few hours but it still showed processing...same thing happened with my 4S.

Now it switches from waiting for AT&T to hoping that the UPS truck is in good working order.

What method did you use to purchase? Online or in-store?
 
Ordered 16GB black in store at 9:15 a.m. EDT. I was told 5-10 days before purchasing, but the email confirmation I got says 14-21 business days. My phone is still backordered. Pretty dumb.

Order number begins with an X, too.
 
One user from a different thread (who has proven to be very credible) says that they are still issuing phones up until 4pm EST today, so you have until then for your B/O to show 0.
 
It's very interesting. Here's my story:

Thought I would help with any insight that I had. My wife and I stepped into a brick and mortar at 0800 EST. I let my wife order ahead of me and then I put through my order.

My wife's receipt says 0811 EST, and she purchased a 16GB White one. My receipt says 0822 EST and I purchased a 16GB Black one. If it ends up counting for anything; I paid $449($199 + $250) for mine, and my wife paid an even $199 for hers.

I have been keeping an eye on the backordered amount because I figured that would probably be the only thing that has some weight behind it. I think my backordered amount changed to 0 on Monday, couldn't be positive though. My wife's is unfortunately still listed as one.

My shipping and tracking info changed this morning and it looks to be shipping via FedEx.

I did receive the email saying that it was going to be 14-21 days but I suppose you can't go off of that email, huh?

When the day is over though, I don't know if we will be going and sitting outside of the brick and mortar. I have a 4S that I will need to ship out by Oct 1st and my wife might just use that for the time being. From the sounds and looks of it, the white iPhone is in short supply.

I will keep an eye on my wife's iPhone order status and let you all know if anything else changes, be it for the better or worse.

I have recieved a working tracking for my black iphone and it looks to be on its way, though tonight sucks, gotta go wait outside the ****** AT&T store cause they f-ed this all up.
 
Based on virtual "expert" on AT&T site, I cannot change or cancel my preorder. Was anyone able to cancel their preorder by calling AT&T?
 
Just figured anyone in this situation could try and figure this our here instead of in the other messy ATT thread. I know I'm not alone...and I think we may have a problem in terms of having to wait a couple weeks

Ordered a 32gb Black iphone 5 on 9/14 @ 10:40am Eastern, backordered since that time. Ordered from the corporate store and was told that it would arrive in 14-21 days. Not sure if it matters, but I'm a Premier business customer.

Mine still says backordered, despite the "guarantee"

i only ever saw claims of delivery AS SOON AS sept 21. never a gtee.
