ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I think our expectations are too much. A million phones this week???


Anyway, just got a tracking number on the ATT site. My phones is in Texas on its way to Nashville, via Fedex.

The phone number/reference trick will not work on the Fedex site by the way.
 
AT&Turd must of said hell with those 1612 order numbers. I haven't received one text or email since the very first one. The guarantee 9/21 yeah right...Guaranteed my ass

Mine is actually similar. In the email, my order number is 2RNH-XX-XXX and then it has a different one on the website that begins with X.

Forgot to say that in the XB14117XXXXXX code, the first X is real...so i do fall into that beginning with X category, I believe.

For those who have ordered in store before.... did they call you when it arrived? Or did you simply know by looking online.

I have a fear that I'll be "backordered" but my phone will be sitting in the store, and neither me nor the reps will know because of a bogus status

On the regular ATT&T order status website (non-Premier), the order date shows 9/18/12 with "In Progress" and "1" for backordered.

At this point I have very little hope it'll be be delivered tomorrow.

PS: Yesterday morning I received the dreaded email:

"Thank you for your recent purchase from the AT&T Premier Online Store. We're pleased that you chose AT&T as your service provider.

We wanted to confirm that your order is reserved and will ship in approximately 14 ? 21 business days."

I got that too....but my phone was shipped.

My FedEx tracking number is now live and my 32GB black is on the move in Fort Worth, TX. Delivery on 9/21. I also received a confirmation email from AT&T containing the tracking number.

I ordered at around 12:10am PDT on 9/14 off the regular site.

I also received a text message from AT&T about an hour ago informing me that my 32GB black has shipped.

My CC charge is still pending, but I would guess that it will move to a confirmed charge at some point today or overnight.


I must say, my experience ordering from AT&T has been smooth (I reserve the right to change my opinion if my iPhone doesn't arrive as scheduled tomorrow ;)).

I have not received any other emails from ATT. I kind of feel like it will still ship today because it does not take them very long to ship it out and it might have already been shipped, just not showing on the website.

I just saw this...I have a 1612 order. Please see attached. I haven't received any text or email since the first email either. I ordered as a new customer with port from Verizon at 8:39AM EST on 9/14.

I'm holding out hope for you. Good luck

yeah you are pretty much screwed like I am. I have the exact same screen glaring at me. it's been that way since i placed my order at 624CDT on 9/14

VERY IMPORTANT!!

ok if you have a FEDEX delievery you will have to be home to sign

and

if you have a UPS they will just dump at your door


CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS?

I have a fed ex and I am thinking of just having it go to my local fedex store so it can be picked up afterwork instead of it going half way across town to pick up at the distribution center or worse yet redelievered on Monday.
