When i go cancel tonight to wait outside for the night, i'll just laugh if they say "oh, well you cant cancel it 'cause its already been shipped." Idiots at the finest.
No tracking info on the order status site. Called AT&T and got the tracking number from them. Will be delivered on the 21st before three. My money is still in my account. Ordered 16gb black at 7 am est.
im really happy for everyone finally getting tracking numbers... but everytime i refresh this thread i become more and more depressed. haha. i feel like i'm the only one left that is still back ordered!
I'm in the same shoe. Chatted and called CSR and they know nothing! So frustrated! I only ordered in store because ATT messed uo my account. I also ordered at 9am CST
thats awesome. i called ATT hoping they would give me some good news and was told i would get the phone 10/4-10/14 which is almost a month later! i have no idea how that even happened. apple was back ordered 2 weeks. now with ATT i wait even longer?

I ordered my phone at 5:30 am, but they sent me an email that night they sent me an email saying that my credit card did not have enough funds? So I had to put another credit car but I didnt do it til that night, my question is, do you think they took my order when I ordered the phone or when the credit card went through? I have the same order number too. CAN SOMEONE HELP!
I would not do that. There were stories about iphones being stolen when the 4s came out.

Does anyone show delivery dates after 9/21 but before 10/5?
If not, why not? Why would orders placed before roughly 4am EST arrive 9/21 & orders placed a few minutes later be delayed 2 weeks until October 5? Isn't production a continuous pipeline, so new batches become available every day? It does not make sense that there would be a full 2 week gap in availability.
Does that mean the 2 week jump to Oct 5 is just a rough worst-case estimate, and some phones will actually arrive every day after 9/21, even if they said "Available to ship: 2 weeks/ Oct 5?"

Where I live I am not terribly concerned about that. or I'll leave a note saying its ok to drop off at the neighbors house since I know they will be home.

Got that right. Don't believe that first-come first-serve on orders really works with AT&T. Still back ordered sine 9:20 EDT on 9/14.

The UPS tracking system shows that a label was created, but they don't have my package yet.

See, I only received the second email (Well to me it was the first). But I never got the actual confirmation email. I just got the one with my order number included which said your order has been processed and has been sent to warehouse for shipping.
I feel like I'm the only person in this boat though who never got the original confirmation email but got the second one. My phone charge was pending in my bank account and now it's gone. I ordered the 32gb black, and it's still shown as back-ordered but lists 9/14 as my order date and that it's "Pending Shipment"
I did talk to FedEx though and they said with priority mail it could be as late as 9pm before you receive a tracking number if it's shipping out of somewhere like NYC and that it could still be at your door by tomorrow.
So, by 9pm if it's nowhere to be found I'll probably cancel. I'm not waiting almost another month to get this phone, that's ********.
If you have a tracking number your phones coming. The label is not activated until the driver scans it for pickup.

In the same boat. Ordered 3:20am Eastern time and still backordered. Not sure how they can be doing FIFO if people 6-9 hours later than I was are getting their phones. So glad I woke up early, just to make sure I could get a phone. Should have slept in and tried around 9am.
