Well, I got screwed by ATT premier.
I ordered through premier site at 7.30AM EST Sept 14, got the email "as soon as 21" right away.
However, I realized I entered the wrong address, so I called them. They told me to cancel that one and re-order, so I did that because I saw no harm on ordering another one 10 mins after that. So I got another order at 7.45. I used the link to confirm cancelation of the first order, it said invalid "your order might already in cancellation process", so I chat with att, they said I have nothing to worry about. Last night, the status on both of them were "preorder processing", so I called ATT again. They told me to cancel my first order again as the button reappeared, if not, i might be charged twice, so I did. This morning, both of my orders got canceled, called regular, premier, nothing they can do with my order except re-order, which will take 3-4 weeks. I'm so pissed caused I did everything they told me to.

I now reordered again at my local ATT store, got 14-21 days wait, got the confirmation, order ID right away, and my CC got charged already, and now is processing. Don't know if this a good thing but It's faster than premier acc in my opinion. :mad:
 
That is very likely, just a worst case scenario. The last thing they want to do is tell you that it will for sure be there on the 21st, then when the 21st comes and goes and you still have no phone...you call up and complain to them. There is just no way to know for sure until you see the "Shipped" designation on your order.

I hope so. Cause my order is still processing and i ordered a few hrs after we could start ordering. But they made it sound like i was SOL and that i would get my phone sometime after the 21st.

NICE! When did yours switch to Pending shipment and give you your tracking number? I ordered mine 6:45a on 9/45 - my premier looks just like yours, but my ATT didn't switch over. :eek:

dunno when it changed over to pending shipment it was like that the first time i checked today. i have no tracking number yet though.

I also have not received any email today.
 
I ordered a 64GB iPhone on the phone via the Primer customer service. I do that at 12pm eastern time yesterday. They charged my credit card within 30 minutes the full amount and then I got an email hours later saying 14 - 21 days shipping. But the customer service said you can expect it on the 21st because the 64GB has the least demand. Hope she is right.

Ordered mine around 1pm est yesterday through an AT&T representative (no premier)

Woke up with the confirmation email at 2AM this morning

It seems like AT&T cannot get their story straight. I read on here where a few of you had talked to AT&T and they said if you ordered your phone before 8am or 9am depending on your time zone you would get your phone on the 21st. And they said that was not true. Only those that ordered their phone within that 1st hr are going to get their phone before the 21st. Anyone after will receive their phone on the 28th or Oct 5th or in some cases after the 5th. And they said they were sorry i was misinformed, and there was nothing they could do. :confused:


Read plenty of people who ordered after the first hour got their order moving along. I don't think any customer rep knows what is going on right now. It's too early.
 
Another data point...

I ordered two 32GB black phones at about 11:00 am EST from the Premier site. I got the confirmation emails right away; however, my cards weren't charged until last night/this morning. I would have ordered earlier, except I'd planned to move to Verizon. I placed my order there around 6:00 am. However, once I got to work I found out that the new iPhone still can't do simultaneous voice and data on their network. That was a deal-breaker, so I cancelled that order and went with AT&T.

What makes me think they screwed it up is this: My premier order confirmation links show order dates of 9/14. However, viewing the orders from my regular account login shows one of them dated 9/15. Which makes no sense, considering I placed the orders a couple minutes apart yesterday morning.

I may end up going to camp out at the Apple store after all. It's not so much because "OMG, must have the phone first!" (Although yes, I do want my shiny new toy.) ;) When I ordered, the site said "Delivers on 9/21". If that's what I'm told, that's what I expect to happen - or at least, what I expect the company to try to do. I know I didn't come in right under their deadline because the site continued to say that for a few hours longer.

If I had missed the ordering window, that's my own fault. But if I miss it because their ordering system is screwed up...well, now it's become a Thing.

And yes, I know. #FirstWorldProblems

I'm in a very similar situation, except the regular AT&T order status site says that I placed my order on 9/15. I ordered through Premier at 5am PST on 9/14.

Just spoke to an AT&T REP on the phone

If you placed your order online OR in store before 9AM CENTRAL TIME (that means 12PM EASTERN TIME) your iPhone will SHIP on the 21st. If your order was placed AFTER these times, your iPhone will SHIP on the 25th, and will take 14-21 business days.

Many people who ordered their phones BEFORE 9AM CT AND 12PM EST got an email saying 14-21 business days. That is because AT&T is using these times very loosely.

Now, the question is: Are they REALLY shipping on the 21st? Or are they arriving. Who knows :confused:

IF THE AUTO-MATED SYSTEM TELLS YOU THAT YOUR IPHONE 5 ORDER IS ON BACKORDER, THEY ARE ONLY SAYING THAT BECAUSE NONE OF THE PHONES HAVE BEEN SHIPPED OUT YET. DO NOT THINK OF IT AS A REAL BACKORDER
 
I don't know when my order went to Pending Shipment but I hope that means it's ready to ship and arrive on the 21st :)

9 Central is 10 Eastern ,not 12

7 pacific / 8 mountain / 9 central / 10 eastern
