I'll add to the 1406 backorder stories.
My wife and I got up and ordered our phones the 14th. Apple was down so we used AT&T. I placed her order first at 2:04am CST and mine 3 minutes later. They were both just upgrades from the 4 to the 5 32GB black, both unlimited data plans with no changes. Went super smoothly, got the confirmation emails right away and txt messages confirming later that day. There were 2 $318 holds on my card over the weekend which disappeared Monday.
So both order numbers start with 1406. Her order number is 373 lower than mine (since we ordered her's first).
Her phone has been back ordered, and still is, while I have a Fedex tracking# which is updating on fedex.
I chatted online with att yesterday. I was not expecting any actual helpful shipping information, I just wanted to make sure there were no holds, or any problems. They said everything was fine with the order.
It is pretty confusing that we have the same plans, ordered the same phones, used the same card, got order confirmations, and yet her phone, which was ordered first, is backorder while mine is en route.
