I'm hoping you're right. My first four digits are 1910. Hmmm...could I be tenth in line in region 19 to be processed?
I'm also in 1910. Still back ordered!! I ordered this at 1:40 am!!!!!
I have the pending shipment also. Was it like that all week? I cant remember, I checked so many times!
I'm thinking we should all have t-shirts that read, 'I Survived The Great Pre-Order Crisis For iPhone5 Thru AT&T'.
Not surprised ATT is offering statement credits. Especially when these things were supposed to be processed first come first serve and yet with no obvious technical glitches during the order process, that is obviously -not- the case. Leaves them open to a class action suit I'd bet.
I'm in that group, and I haven't received anything since the 14th. Have you gotten anything?

I keep thinking. Once I get the phone then what? It's going to be better than the 4s, but I mean it's still just a phone, right? I think this is where all the excitement lies, is waiting for the damn thing. Anyone else agree? I mean I been using iOS 6 for months in beta so I'm not as reved up maybe I don't know. At the same time...I am excited though. I think I just contridicted myself, but that's ok.
Haha yeah, I've been thinking about that. I was so excited to get my iPhone 4, but 30 minutes after staring at it I slipped it in my pocket and went about my day. The wait is exciting though. I also haven't upgraded to iOS 6 yet and don't plan on it. So that should be fun.
This makes a lot of sense, but in this case it mostly is the same thing. If you're still only listed as backordered/preordered, you may not get your phone tomorrow. It means they dont seem to have one to assign to you.
It would be nice if the above message was ATTs stance on this question. I dont know why they dont give ANY information about ANYTHING relative to their system. Like just explain stuff and people will calm down....

My girlfriend ordered hers at 1pm CDT on the 14th and her order numbers starts with 1612 so that can't be logical. Her status also says it's backordered and theres no shipping information on it yet.
my mother and i were both in the 1406 group, but the phone i ordered on my account has shipped and is in kentucky, and her phone on her account is backordered. a chat with a CSR person (even though i know it's useless) stated that the earliest she could expect delivery of her 32GB white iphone 5 (ordered through the regular ATT website, with an order confirmation email received at 2:03am pacific/12:03am central time) was october 15, a whole month after preorders began.

i got confirmation, and my phone is in kentucky. my order details went to shipped at about 4pm yesterday. the order details on UPS show that the phone had its origin scan at 3:10pm, and left memphis at 11pm. at 6:17am today it arrived in louisville.
I'd wear one...although I haven't fully survived it yet. Lol...may just off myself sometime during that 14-21 day wait. How will us backordered folks live without our new phones for such a long time?!
Take heart and resist the urge to throw yourself over the balcony. The moment you do, you'll receive an email indicating an error on ATT's part, and your phone WILL BE ARRIVING the very next day!
