Hey guys! i just spoke with one of att guys!!Because my pending charge was gone.and i have my money back in my account.He check and he said!That because i make a preorder on 3:00 am est! i dont have any problems and it will ship tomorrow.Not october 4 like they say yesterday!So! Its better than 2 weeks for sure!Try to call again! I will keep you guys posted!!

Crap...forgot about activation. I used my MIL's upgrade, so I need AT&T to switch it over. This should be fun. Let's see how bad they screw this up!

I would have had to do that with one of the other existing lines on my account but I knew they'd somehow find a way to mess it up so I figured I'd rather pay the extra 250.

called ATT a few times, livechat a few times, they have no idea whats going on and cannot really do much other than verify your order is in progress and there are no red flags.

staying optimistic for tomorrow as everyone in the same/similar boat should be doing as well. good luck guys.

I am 1504 too. 64 gb white still processing and on back order. Both of my orders. Pooplicious.

I only went with AT&T this time because I had a really good experience with them when I ordered my 4S. Not sure what is going on this time.

Hey guys, any idea if FedEx will leave the package in the backyard if I leave a note? They confirmed they will leave It if I write a note but now I'm not sure I want to because I live near a crappy highschool that has gangbangers so they might take a detour through my area and snatch it.

Explanation of the AT&T Order Status Screen

When your status reads PROCESSING and not BACKORDER, it means that your order number has been paired to an iPhone S/N, it will be shipped in the first batch, and you will likely receive it tomorrow.

If it does say BACKORDER, it means that they received the order, and they anticipate enough stock for the 2nd or 3rd wave, but they have not paired your order number to the S/N of a phone (and this changes day to day) - so if it says BACKORDER now, it might not later today or early tomorrow.

The long and short of it seems to be, if it says PROCESSING you're going to get the phone on launch day. If it says BACKORDER, there is still a chance it will come on launch day.

Mine just went 'Backordered'. "Your complete order has been placed on backorder and will ship when we feel like it".

Even though the original confirmation said 'received by 9/21/2012'...

AT&T appears to be playing favorites or something... People with order numbers in the 16xx range are getting theirs tomorrow. *POUT*

Ordered a Black 32gb around 7:15am EST on 9/14. The phone shipped this morning via FedEx from Texas. Currently the package is in Indiana and scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Seems like those who have ordered 32gb have had the best of luck getting their phones delivered for the 21st. 16gb's because of demand seem hit or miss. I think because of the lack of demand for the 64gb iphone it may delay things as well based off of limited allotment to ATT.

They say that my porting request delayed my order by 2 days, so it's like I ordered on 9/16 at 1:28 PM pacific time instead of 9/14 at 1:40 am. Anyone here order on the 16th and have a 1910 order number ????

Yea same stuff with me..ordere 3 phones order starts with 101910..and it says now i ordered on 9.16..backordered so far..
Ordered online via AT&T @ close to 12 midnight on 14th.

I hope you're right because mine says shipment processing, but it also says qty 1 back order.

NOPE! If it requires a 'Direct Signature', FedEX will NOT just leave it. They need YOU or someone they recognize to be in your family to sign for it. Period. Best you can do is try to have it held at the terminal for you to pick up, probably Monday.

1:40 am 9/14 was done online. No premiere. Was told my delay occurred due to a porting request. Said I won't get until 10/4 to 10/15.

Does it seem like a larger proportion of the back orders are those who went with 32 or 64 gb models? I went 32gb black. Doesn't seem like an oddball phone but maybe AT&T didn't anticipate people being stupid enough to pay $100 for 16gb of storage.

I ordered 32GB white on SATURDAY onto my family account for my sister-in-law who is porting her number from Sprint. They still processed the order on the SAME day, 9/15.

Better yet, this iPhone has shipped already and is on its way for delivery tomorrow according to the UPS tracking.

It doesn't require sig and its not eligible for hold. Pretty sure that goes for all AT&T fed ex orders
