I just cancelled my oder over the phone. It quite literally took less than three minutes and I have confirmed via Apple's and AT&T's website that my upgrade eligibility has been reset. Honestly, the AT&T CSR's have been nothing but helpful in my situation, despite their awful order system.

To waiting in line it is!

Oh one more thing, on my confirmation email it states that...

"Thank you for your recent order. Your iPhone will ship in approximately 14-21 business days *. All orders are processed on a first come, first served basis"

If this was the case my wife's that was ordered at 8:29am est and mine at 8:37 am est would both be coming tomorrow ( only hers is) unless they sold out in 8 mins of the 32gb white. That's a false advertisement any lawyers want to take on this case.

Are the iPhone 5s being shipped by FedEx?
AT&T only ships to the billing address and I'm in a military base in Florida while my billing address is in Virginia, is it possible to change my destination address as soon as i receive my tracking number
 
Has anyone's CC been charged yet? My phone is marked as shipping, but no charges yet.

Oh, and no turmoil for me. Everything has gone smoothly. Would more detailed info been appreciated? Yes, but it doesn't mean things haven't gone as they should have.
 
i ordered mine over the phone at like 10am EST 9/14 (ATT BLK 32GB) and i was told it would be here friday, my order number is 90410XXXXXXXXX... on the main account orderstatus it says Processing, and other other site it says in progress but Back ordered is still at 1 and says pending shipment... im now losing hope to see it tmw, but then again, u cant be sure of anything based on anything ATT says

I am 904 order # too, ordered by phone 9/14 4 am cst but didn't accept t&c until 9/15 afternoon.

ANYONE ELSE WITH 904 ORDER # AND OFF BACKORDER 1?

Explanation of the AT&T Order Status Screen

When your status reads PROCESSING and not BACKORDER, it means that your order number has been paired to an iPhone S/N, it will be shipped in the first batch, and you will likely receive it tomorrow.

If it does say BACKORDER, it means that they received the order, and they anticipate enough stock for the 2nd or 3rd wave, but they have not paired your order number to the S/N of a phone (and this changes day to day) - so if it says BACKORDER now, it might not later today or early tomorrow.

The long and short of it seems to be, if it says PROCESSING you're going to get the phone on launch day. If it says BACKORDER, there is still a chance it will come on launch day.

Some statuses actually say BACKORDER?? Or you just mean having a 1 in that column?
 
my pending charge has completely dropped off my account. no charges anywhere. But my phone is shipping and is currently in Indy en route to Detroit
 
Does anyone knows that pre-order in the ATT retail store could be can not be canceled?:confused: Can I cancel it through the phone??:confused:

Well this is good to know actually. I may cancel this evening as well if and head out early tomorrow morning to get in line.
 
Keep in mind that certain delays could also have to do with which particular phone you ordered and its availability. I ordered my upgrade on the AT&T site at 9:34EST and I got the UPS tracking number yesterday evening -- mine is a Black 64GB.

My wife couldn;t decide which color, so didn't get her's order until almost two hours later (11:21EST) and it still shows as "processing." Hers is a White 64GB, so I don't know if the reason is due to the 2-hour difference or the different phone.
Update:

I just got the tracking number for my wife's phone... it's coming tomorrow via FedEx.
 
The only reason I ask is because I was supposed to be receiving it tomorrow, according to what was told to me at the time I pre-ordered, and I have still not received a tracking number. So you think there's still a chance I could receive tracking before midnight today? Forgot to mention, but I'm in Houston Texas... Fairly close to Fort Worth. Thanks again.

I'll tell them to lick my balls if they don't give it to me at the contract price. I'm a new customer. So I'll just open another account or add another phone and bring back the first one.

But I think I could not get it as 199 price tomorrow.....

I think they will charge me the full price, I could not believe that they already charge me the activation fee for a phone I don't know when I can received:mad:

I ordered two phones via AT&T online upgrade within two hours of each other... the black 64GB is shipping UPS and the White 64GB is shipping FedEx. I'm not sure if there is any hard-fast rule as to which carrier they use.
 
Mine has been saying processing since day one... Still saying it as of now and I was the first person to pre order in my AT&T store... I'm having it shipped to the store... If mine is still saying processing now at 5 in the afternoon , is it still a good chance I will get it Tommorow ?


I'd bet yes. Having it ship to the store is a higher priority than shipping it to your house. I'm also having it ship to the store because I need to replace SIMs.
 
I pre-ordered my iphone on 9/14 and received my confirmation e-mail at 12:00:50 AM seconds PDT. My current status indicates that my order is still 'in progress' although my screen is formatted as though it has shipped, with blanks where the Tracking number, carrier info, etc are supposed to be.

I contacted AT&T and was told it probably will ship tomorrow and I can't cancel my order. They said there was no problems with my order.

I don't understand how I can get my confirmation e-mail 1 minute after pre-orders open and not receive my phone tomorrow.
