Are the iPhone 5s being shipped by FedEx?
AT&T only ships to the billing address and I'm in a military base in Florida while my billing address is in Virginia, is it possible to change my destination address as soon as i receive my tracking number

Who told you that? my phone is shipping to my office. which is different from my CC billing address AND different from my AT&T account address... :confused:
 
ATT order statue website is updating right now. May be good news for all people still have a backorder(like Me);)God bless us
 
The closest ATT store and Apple store are in the same mall. There are like 5 entrances to the mall and both stores are completely contained inside, meaning, they don't have exterior store fronts. How in the hell are lines going to work?

I'm wearing a hockey helmet for sure.
 
Woohoo. My order, 16gb white, just went from pending to shipped and it's status is it's been picked up from Ft. Worth, shipping FedEx priority overnight. Problem is, I'm in Chicago and the phone is being delivered to my company in NW Wisconsin. I guess I'll have it sent down to me over the weekend, but at least it's on it's way.
 
I just cancelled my oder over the phone. It quite literally took less than three minutes and I have confirmed via Apple's and AT&T's website that my upgrade eligibility has been reset. Honestly, the AT&T CSR's have been nothing but helpful in my situation, despite their awful order system.

To waiting in line it is!

I cancelled mine after still showing in backorder. Order status shows "In Progress" and backordered. When I check that line for upgrade eligibility, it's gone still too. Probably just made matters worse.

I ordered shortly after midnight PST too. AT&T rep told me they ran out of the new nano sim cards. I thought the devices shipped with them so that doesn't make sense.

I'm irritated that all these people that ordered hours and days after me are getting theirs. What a boondoggle.
 
Well this isn't good news, but I thought I'd share.

Walked into my AT&T store after work. The guy told me if you ordered after Apple's site went down at like 3am EST or so, you won't be getting one tomorrow. I guess at that time they started pushing orders back 14-21 days even though the AT&T site was still saying a delivery of 9/14. I then asked how in the hell you can explain to a million people who are ordering their phones on the notion that it is in their hands on 9/21 that it won't be there when it says, and he just said the at&t site was slow to update. Obviously not what I wanted to hear, but at this point with no tracking number, no pending charge and still back-ordered I think I've lost all hope. I ordered at 940am EST by the way 32 gb black. He also said if I were to cancel I can't get my upgrade back which makes no freakin sense to me at all

That is not true, i ordered 2 of them and have them both shipping to different addresses from the billing address. I also ordered via premier though......
 
My Premier order (64GB Black) UPS tracking has been scanned in. Flying overnight from Dallas-Fort Worth, TX to Orange, CA :D
 
Here is what the CSR on chat said to me a few minutes ago :

"Orders placed before 9am Pacific on 9/14/12 will ship by 9/21/12. Orders placed after this time will ship in 14-21 business days."

I know I've read multiple people that ordered after 9 am pacific that have had their status updated to shipped. Like everyone else has said ATT just isn't giving any concrete info and are just giving out cookie cutter information. Just wanted to post my info for what ever its worth.

Does anyone have a tracking number from UPS that hasn't been updated with any information?

All I get is:

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

So freakin' fed up. I'm truly done with AT&T. Forever.

Seriously about to just cancel and go to Verizon. I bought unsubsidized phone anyways, with no contract extension. Even if I go to Verizon and pay the ETF to AT&T, I'll still end up with a cost of about $200 less.

Me: I run a business and am flying out of town, so I won't be there to sign depending on the driver's timeframe. You guys wouldn't let me ship to my office.

Me: I need the tracking number ASAP, as I'll need to arrange for the carrier to hold the package for me at their facility for me to pick up and show ID.

Me: Placed order at roughly 2:00 AM PST on 9/14

Me: hi robert. hopefully you got all that which I just typed :)

Robert Heideman: I can look that up for you today.

Me: no problem. hands sort of tied until I can coordinate with the carrier. they won't help until i can confirm the tracking number and carrier ;-)

Me: probably should have ordered through premier. lesson learned i guess.

Robert Heideman: We will not have an order number until they ship which is the 21st.

Robert Heideman: A tracking number is what I ment.

Me: that contradicts what every other rep has told me, including what your website stated. i am repeatedly told that I should be "receiving" my iPhone on 9/21 launch day (tomorrow).

Me: it would stand to reason that it should have shipped yesterday/today, and multiple reps had agreed with that logic.

Robert Heideman: 10/04/2012 To 10/15/2012 is what my system is showing me for estimated shipping time.

Robert Heideman: 14 To 21 business days is also what my system shows.

Me: if that's the case, I'll probably cancel the order (since the reps and website lied) and just buy it in the store, at full price, for Verizon. it was an unsubsidized phone...I paid full price, so it's no skin off my back, and I'll pay much, much less at VZ as a new customer. I prefer to deal with an honest company.

Me: i would encourage you to verify with a supervisor. it has been stated in the press that people who preordered after about 7AM were the ones backordered. I was many hours earlier than that, and both the website + reps on multiple calls stated I should be receiving it 9/21.

Robert Heideman: You need to contact customer care at 1-800-331-0500 to speak with someone in regards to your tracking number. I am only telling you what I see in my system and I am a tech support agent.

Me: yeah. i've done this repeatedly. it's becoming incredibly frustrating.

Robert Heideman: I will give you the number to the sales department they may be able to further assist you also.

Robert Heideman: 800-694-7466 This is apple premier support.

That number sent me to technical support, not customer service. Apparently I just wasted even more time. I'm so fed up with this BS.

Ordered 7:00am CST 9/14 via AT&T plus phone number and getting my phone tomorrow for sure because fedex says so :)

When I placed my order the Apple site was in fact down. The Apple site was then live shortly after I completed my order through AT&T.

So I guess that makes sense - no hookup to the Apple site when my order was placed, and their system never went back to fix the orders that were placed while Apple's site was down.

That's what I'm going with unless someone ordered from AT&T within 0-20 minutes after pre-orders were supposed to open and is actually receiving their phone tomorrow.

I have had the same thing for two days. No update.
 
Apologies if this has been answered recently but anyone with back order 0 that still hasn't had there phone shipped or have a tracking number?
