Ordered 16gb white and 16gb black 9/14 at 2:35pm. The black came off back order last night, the white (ordered first) still back ordered. My order date on the status page that show the backordered column shows 9/16, my other status page shows 9/14.

My phone (the white one) isn't coming tomorrow but just thought I'd give some hope to my fellow customers who got their order date pushed back. And after reading all these pages it seems a bunch of people who ordered before me are still back ordered and not getting their phones tomorrow which is really messed up. Good job AT&T, this went almost as smoothly as I thought it would #

I'm done. AT&T flat out lied to me. I ordered at 8:20am est. Well before the "cut off". My phone has been backordered 1 ever since. I'm a 1407 order number.

Talk to a rep yesterday who assured me that based on my order time which she confirmed that I would have my phone on the 21st. Today, with no update, no email about a delay, no nothing, I called again. Now I'm being told 14 days from order AT THE EARLIEST. And she wouldn't even guarantee that. What I don't understand is that we have people who ordered the same phone as me, a 16gb black, HOURS after, and have tracking numbers. I don't begrudge them at all. Its great their phones are coming. The fact that mine is somehow "lost" is beyond understanding.

I have been with at&t over 10 years. So much for customer loyalty.

So how is Verizons service?

For what it's worth, I think they're trained to tell you that your phone is guaranteed for the 21st because it fits in the guidelines for that date. I'm sure the rep today realized that it wasn't going to happen so she went to the next bullet point on her handout and quoted 14-?? days.

I wouldn't jump ship yet. Wait until tomorrow and see what happens. You may just get your phone after all. Like others have stated, do not listen to any of the CRs. They only have access to the information YOU have. I was told I would be getting my phone on 10/5 and I already have a delivery date for tomorrow. So just be patient and wait and see.

I did. Posted a few pages back. Tried AT&T order tracking under diff number on family plan and it shows mine shipped by FedEx. Went from ups tracking label Made all week to shipped FedEx delivery tomorrow.

My tracking just updated. It's in DFW, scheduled to be here by 3pm tomorrow.

I did the same. I canceled my order over the phone with one of the AT&T reps. However, they did remind me that it could take up to 24 hours for my eligibility to go back. If i were you, I would call back AT&T as soon as possible and see if they can manually reset your eligibility so that you can buy your iPhone tomorrow.

I had to call them 24 hours after I canceled my order in order for them to reset my eligibility.

Any idea what department you called? Did you have to get through to a supervisor? Any additional info you can give me to throw at them to make sure they reset it?

lmao that's a new low AT&T

I ordered 2 commitment free iPhone 5 on Monday and two full upgrade iPhone 5's at the same time and the upgraded ones are two days behind the commitment free ones. Go figure. The commitment free iPhones are the only ones with the iPad micro sims.

You are correct. We (FedEx) have been picking up trailer loads of iPhones since monday. The phones that were picked up before today went straight to the hubs by truck. I have been through all of the iPhone launches and security is very, very tight this time as compared to previous launches. We always had armed guards following us locally when we picked up a trailer full of iPhones, but it was just locally. This year, the guards are following the trucks all the way to Memphis, Indianapolis, Atlanta, etc.

Wow! Thanks for the insight. I can only imagine the scale of this operation. Moving more than 2 million iPhones in a matter of 3 days all across the U.S. and that too under heavily guarded security must be so insane! All of this just for the phones! Times when you think where is mankind heading

Ordered at exactly 12 AM, still shows processing

I ordered right at 12 AM, got a confirmation email saying my phone would arrive the 21st.

My order still shows processing, though.

WTF, AT&T?

Did you port any numbers? I ask because I have a similar situation to yours and I have a feeling my order date shows 9/17 because of some sort of delay with porting numbers. I ordered at 9:44 am pst on 9/14 but my order shows 9/17.

Didn't port anything. Just got the shaft. If I see a FedEx plane in the sky it's coming down and I'm taking all your phones!!!! Muahahaha. That was a joke homeland security.
