You must work for AT&T and want to stop the upset customers. And btw. It's 6:15pm in beautiful Hawaii. I also pre ordered at 8:30 pm on the 9/13

Dude, I'm sure you have an iPhone 5 being shipped as well. Some are more excited than others, no need to criticize them for it. :apple:

Yes I am that "poor guy that even got pushed back to the 17th" actually a girl. This is ridiculous. I would love to go to a store, but can't cancel now and have it cleared in time.

This whole not being able to cancel thing truly smells of ridonkulous. I got pushed to 17th as well. No one can explain why.
 
Ok so I order a black 16 & a white one at 3pm, with the black ordered 15 minutes afterwards, and my black one now has a shipped and says it will be delivered by 430 est. while the white still says back ordered ):


Idk if its bc there was more stock of the black or not, but I did purposely have one shipped FedEx and the white ups, just to see if one got here earlier or not, but hopefully it didn't backfire and it really is bc they didn't have enough white in stock.

Sucks for me the white is mine and the black is not ):
 
First 4 #s 1035 and ordered at ATT store on 14th at about 12:30PM. Order still shows backordered. oh well, its just a phone
 
Anyone delivery effected by the weather as UPS is reporting? I hope the people are safe before I'd worry about a phone delivery.

What was your order number.

What time did you place order.

My brother who placed his order 5 min before mine and 200 invoice numbers ahead has a tracking num with expected delivery on the 21. I had him email me his invoice and I will contact AT&T tomorrow with proof that they messed up if I don't get mine. Clearly my order got glitches or something. They should give me a $450 credit like the other people on here.

Husband has same info as you, ordered at 12:15PM EST and his went from back order to shipped (no trackingId yet) about an hour ago.

There is a signature release form but if the package is "direct signature," you can't use it. Also, even if it's "indirect signature" the driver still had discretion whether to leave the pkg. My guess, no driver is taking the risk of dumping an iPhone.

Once a delivery attempt has been made you can call and p/u at the station that night or Sat AM. Also if you sign up for UPS My Choice (if it shipped UPS) you can request p/u at station before first delivery attempt. But you have to do it online.

The person I talked to at UPS said there was no shipper required signature, etc. on my order (iphone 5). So I'm assuming they would leave it at the door if no one is there.

Did anybody ever figure out what these numbers mean? I'm 1282 and I'm in the same boat as you guys as well.

Wonder how AT&T is going to deal with all of this..

Just as I was about to finalize my order, I was called away from my desk at work. When I returned, I hit "submit" and was kicked back to the start, which had been updated to say delivery in 14-21 days. Foolishly, I clicked "submit" at the end of the process before learning that the Radio Shack around the corner from my apartment would have stock AND had yet to receive any pre-orders. When I went it, I was told I wasn't eligible for an upgrade until 2014, and the customer service rep with whom I spoke said it was not possible to cancel a pre-order and, in the process, revert my upgrade eligibility, once the terms and conditions box in the online form was checked and submitted.

So, yeah, 1407....hmmmmmm

I don't think they're shipping in order for the order numbers, or for that matter, I don't think they were even assigning them in order.
My order went through at 11:57 p.m. Pacific time on the 13th and my order number starts with 1711.
Still backordered by the way...

Where do u live. We can ry to figure this out. I think they do go in order. I ordered mine at 8:30pm Hawaii standard time on the 13th. 1711 is late and would expect it to be back ordered. Did the website tell you u would get it on the 21st when you ordered it..
