Where do u live. We can ry to figure this out. I think they do go in order. I ordered mine at 8:30pm Hawaii standard time on the 13th. 1711 is late and would expect it to be back ordered. Did the website tell you u would get it on the 21st when you ordered it..

I live in California. I figured its a late number, considering I completed the order 3 minutes before they were supposed to go on preorder.
I did get an email saying that I would receive it tomorrow. I did also have CC issues but got it sorted out on Sunday. I had that 1711 order number since that 11:57 time I finished the order.
Is yours on backorder?

Can you cancel an in-store order? I would like to go to the at&t store first thing in the morning. But i've been hearing rumors about not being able to cancel an order made in-store.

They come with the SIM cards installed already, but maybe because of this nano sim in the 5 or something they won't already be installed. But I'm pretty sure they will come in the phone.

Not necessarily. My order is a 1711 also and it is already about half an hour from my house waiting to be delivered. I know this will probably get me flamed but there are going to be hundreds if not more of you who will get your phones tomorrow even though you did not think you were going to. I wonder how many of you will be back on this forum posting up that you were whining and bitching for nothing. I saw this last year, and the year before. It was also with AT&T and it's apparent that their operators do not know what they're talking about. they will tell you that you are not going to get your phone for weeks or that it will "ship "on the 21st but not be delivered until later but then it will show up tomorrow anyway. Certainly there are some of you who did order too late and will not get your phones but from what I have seen if AT&T shows you are going to get it on the 21st at the time you placed the order on the 14th then you will in all likelihood. There are also a number of people who have tracking numbers but do not know how to find them on at&t's website because they think they will be on the main page where the phone and Sim card order is shown. They are missing the small link that takes you to be tracking information page which is different.

nope because all they did in store was order it for you from their website. I tried to cancel mine and it said it was an online order, even though I went to the store.

I agree it is pointless. They have no clue I even placed the order on the 14th The moron CS rep says, no you placed it on the 17th. Oh really? I have my email confimation.. It goes on and on. Tried chat, tried calling, got nowhere, other than that there is nothing they can do now. Wanted to cancel, but they said I might not be able to upgrade if it isn't cleared. We are screwed!

8:30 Hawaii standard time is 10:30 pst. R u sure it went on sale at midnight pst in ca. Mine is still saying back ordered but my bro who is 1504 has a tracking number with an expected delivery on the 21st. He ordered right before me on the same computer. Online it said I would get it on the 21 st if I placed order. I was never notified I wouldn't get it on the 21 and online reps said I should get it but not showing online that it shipped

You should be good to go based on what others have been seeing. You just need to wait for the confirmation number/email. A lot of people that had theirs shipped were 1 backordered and then when it changed to 0 it shipped after.
 
Ordered 2 black 64GBs in store at 10:20am pacific time. By then the estimated ship time was 14-21 days. Got a few emails immediately (one general email thanking me for my order and two confirming a change in my plan), but I didn't receive an official order confirmation with a breakdown of what I purchased until 6pm that day. Order status shows as 9/14 and processing (backorder) but my order # isn't like any of yours. I'm guessing it's b/c I ordered in store or b/c I have a business acct?

Nice to know. I still have hope I will get mine and if I do I will be back to post that I did.

If I dont. I will be on the phone trying to get a credit for the delay or I will switch carrier.

I called at&t and the lady told me that they are not the ones that take care of the orders, that it is apple and I believe her, cuz really apple is the one that sends the phones so I guess its apple. Maybe they are taking their order first then ATT,Verizon and Sprint
 
I am also in Denver.. Maybe our iPhones will be on the same flight:D

Let's hope so :) I'm fascinated by FlightAware. And it looks like there's a great big FedEx party tonight in Memphis...
