in my opinion, what sucks is that there will probably be no consequences for ATT's absurd behavior and horrible order handling, they will keep tagging ppl along and eventually forget all this ever happened and won't do a damn thing to improve anything... its clearly not the first time att has pulled this kind of stuff and i can say pretty confidently that it wont be their last either. being a customer since 2005 (even before it became cingular), i have yet to have one positive experience with this company. tomorrow will be a "new day" but att will always remain as ****ty as it always has been

I know a lot of you will be too busy tomorrow playing with your new toys but I would really appreciate it if any of you who did not have tracking information tonight and thought they were not going to get their phone on the 21st would come on here tomorrow and let us know if you did or did not get it after FedEx and UPS had run (remember that it could be on a separate truck from your normal UPS or FedEx delivery). I have a feeling that there will be a lot of people who did not have tracking information but who ordered early enough and will still get their phones tomorrow regardless. If you got a minute let us know yes or no tomorrow evening.

I have no tracking number, im 0 back order. I'm still in progress and pending shipment. I'm not getting my hopes up for tomorrow, but I'll be here.. haha.

My order # begins with a 1406, and it's on the way here for delivery tomorrow by 3pm.
I ordered a 32GB black at around 12:10am PDT on 9/14. I have a tracking number with FedEx.
I am certainly less than thrilled with a lot of a at&t's tactics and policies as well but I can't understand why if it is so bad that guys/girls do not go over to one of the competitors. What is your reason?

i preordered last week, but i wasnt one of the lucky ones to get the first batch. my order from apple.com says 2weeks, and delivered by oct 5th.
today i just recieved an email from my bank stating apple placed a charge for the total of the iphone. i logged onto my account on apple.com and now it says preparing for shipment. but it also still says oct 5th delivery date. does that mean there's a chance it could ship out sooner than expected? i was going to go to the apple store tomorrow evening to see if i can get the iphone in store and cancel the preorder, but now that they pulled the money, i have no money to buy it or even cancel the preorder. so what do you guys think this new update means?

I hope so! But when I ordered it was one of the last ones that said Delivered by 21st, cuz I check back 10 minutes later and it changed
What time did you order last Friday? I assume you are in the eastern time zone by your username, correct?
I've been a customer since 2002 8) I've hated this company since; why am I still with them? Im an idiot I guess, also unlimited data has me hooked. I never have positive experiences with them.
I scanned the flights too. My tracking info says Forth Worth, but I think it's here and just hasn't been scanned yet. Unless it's going Forth Worth to Indianapolis then Denver...

because i have 5 lines and all of them upgrade at various times, im disconnecting 1 tmw, 1 in november, but i did just order 2 more iphone 5's on this acct, so i will probably just bit the bullet and pay the etfs for the rest at some point in the future
Well this will not be a very helpful statement but if you have no money to buy one in the store because they charged your card maybe you should not be buying an iPhone at all? I know that's a real ******* statement to make but it just seems like if your budget is that tight maybe your funds could be allocated better to something more important. Then again, maybe Obama will give free iPhone 5's to anyone that vote for him

i ordered over the phone around 10am est, white 32GB, with a 9041 order number... was promised that it would be here 9/21, got various emails from ATT today saying Your iPhone CSS, and something has changed on my acct, blah blah blah... still back ordered tho
people are really tracking what flight their phone is on? haha, get a life. it's coming, jeeeez
I thought they only charged when they were going to actually ship the product. After days of no AT&T activity on my account, today they charged me and I got my FedEx tracking number.
You know I am kind of hooked on the unlimited data thing as well. That being said I did a test of about six of my friends that have iPhones and unlimited data including myself and none of us used much more than 2 GB per month on average and most of us came in at around 1 GB per month average. I have gone over 3 GB in a single month only twice ( and even then it was just slightly over due to my child watching Disney channel online on trips) since I have had my iPhones and that is since back in 2008

how does that answer my question? i asked what does it mean if i didnt get the first batch of preorders to get my phone tomorrow, but i now have a "preparing for shipment" on my order the day before its launch. thats all i was asking for, not what my current financial situation.
Not at all. Just someone who's absolutely amazed that so many people are crying over a PHONE that they didn't want to get up and order.
Yes 10 AM Eastern time may have been too late, regardless of what they told you at AT&T at the time. I do not think they had anticipated as much demand as they got and with Sharp only coming on line as a supplier last week they basically had only 66% of display manufacturing capacity to get ready for this launch.
right? i mean it still says delivery by oct 5th, but it also says its preparing to ship, so i'm confused. it would be awesome if it shipped by weekend
lol i too put my alarm for 255am, i'm in nyc. also how are people even able to track the flight route? what website and what info do u need to do such a thing?

HA! I feel ya! I went to bed last night at midnight with no tracking number, but woke up at 3 am to wee wee AND COULDN'T RESIST CHECKING FOR IT AGAIN. I was rewarded for my obsession with a tracking number, though, and slept very peacefully until I wet my bed after forgetting to actually go to the bathroom.
