Wait what?

When i check the link through premier, it says "preordering processing"
but
when i check it though this link https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/
it says "pending shipment."

Could other people please use that link and tell me what it says? Does everyone have pending shipment?

Link through Premier (from confirmation email) says "Preorder Processing" for both lines.

I clicked on your link, checked both lines, both say "Pending Shipment."

Order placed about 7:45am PST on AT&T Premier site.
 
You aren't going to get a tracking number until it actually ships and the phones aren't shipping out today. Depending on the shipping service AT&T uses tracking numbers probably won't arrive until Tuesday or Wednesday.

I was told they were shipping overnight on the 20th by Fedex.
 
Into further investigation - yeah - Att totally screwed my order. By resolving the credit card billing issue - stuck me at the end of the que. Crapola - cant apple launch this thing on a saturday vs a friday so i can camp out? LOL dang it.
 
so for those of us that ordered from the apple store.....should we expect the phone to arrive on Friday the 21st or Saturday the 22nd? What happens if we aren't home? If Apple delivers it Friday while I am at work, will I be able to tell FedEx to hold it so I can pick it up at the FedEx location Saturday - or will I have to wait until Monday?

I was told by ATT that signature would be required so they should not be leaving it if you are not home. I'm going to try and take a vacation day or work remotely from home. Since my boss talked me into buying it, she should be understanding.
 
I got an email from AT&T today providing a link to my new customer service summaries (CSS's) for the two numbers that I upgraded to the iPhone 5. I made my purchases through the Apple store early Friday morning, and both numbers were eligible for the upgrade.

We currently have a family talk plan, two iPhones and 2 dumb phones on this account. We also have unlimited family texting and I carry a small charge for international calling on my number.

Both CSS's that I downloaded today list the wrong price for the family talk plan (about $30 higher than it should be), and both list the max price and say there are 4 phones associated with each summary. It is as if they are treating each number that I bought iPhone 5's for as new separate accounts. The data plan charges are correct, but then each summary also has a category called "Other Features" and lists those as $30 for my number and $33.99 for my wife's number.

I just spoke to an AT&T rep and they could not even see these CSS's, and they said none of it makes sense and I should wait for my next bill with the new iPhones activated to see if they really screwed the pooch on the billing

Relax and go back and re-read your CSS. There are two parts, one is for your specific line's rate and it is at the top. Later in the "Understanding your next bill" you will see the FamilyTalk rate plan price. Yes it shows the full plan on each CSS of a FamilyTalk plan and list the total number of lines on the FamilyTalk plan. :eek:

The Other features section is really showing your $30 data plan and your wife's $30 data plan + her $9.99 add-a-line. This is correct! :D

Receiving a CSS is a very good sign that your order is good to go for shipment.

Ordered 7AM PST 9/14 through Premier

Last night around 10PM PST - Status on link in email changed from PENDING->PREORDER PENDING

Around 2PM PST today - The cancel preorder button disappeared on the status page but status still shows PREORDER PENDING

Around 3:30PM PST today - My order finally shows up through the REGULAR AT&T Wireless order status page when using my mobile # to look it up. Status on there shows IN PROCESS.

According to them, IN PROCESS means it's at the WAREHOUSE now so I'm guessing the technical billing stuff is done. My credit card hasn't been charged yet though. No pending charges either but that's probably because my card doesn't show it. I just went to buy food using the same card and that didn't show up as pending either.
 
just spoke to an att rep

she said the cut off to get the phone the 21st was 11:25am eastern time on the 14th. i ordered at 4:00am so im good.
she then said did you accept T&C and i said no, she said it shows here you did accept them at 4:07am, she also said i will recieve tracking email within 48 hours, and it could either be UPS or FedEx

I think the issue is that for us "Premier" customers, our orders were processed in bulk so that may have been after the cutoff. Anyway, since "Premier" service is only there Mondays-Fridays, and certain "Premier" customers can't access the special site to address issues requiring attention (or even find out what they are), we are getting the runaround.
 
I had to place my order over the phone about 705am cst. My cars was immediately charged and about a hour later I received the terms and conditions email so I submitted it. I haven't heard a thing since. The part that concerns me is that I can't pull the order up on the website or using the automated system.

Do you only get that email when you place the order over the phone? I placed my order online but called to try and change the shipping address. i was told I couldn't but the rep mentioned that my phone would not ship until the terms and conditions email was accepted. I never got the email so I called back and was told it may take 48 hrs to get the email. Still didn't get it this morning so I called back again and was then told it was only for phone orders. But 3 people said I would be receiving it.

You got through at 7:05? I couldn't get through then and had to be somewhere.
I was on hold for 40 minutes though.

It did not show up on AT&T's website for me a good 26-27 hours after I placed the order. I placed it at 7AM yesterday, and it only showed up for me around 10 this morning.
 
My card did not go through when i ordered on midnight, so i called att to get this fixed. the rep said i would get my order on the 21st, however, my status says i'm backordered?

Maybe I'll get it on the 21st.

So I guess I missed the cut of mark of 12PM EST. Computer shows estimated delivery of Oct 5-14th. :(

Hey this is probable a silly question, but could you tell me, or send me the link to chat with a real CS rep? I couldnt find one. I'm probably in the worst situation here. Ordered a brand new no. shortly before 7 AM and the status still says, pending. No charges on the card yet. Couldnt get thru to a cust rep on phone.

I have an order through Apple, anyway, and that one is on schedule. However, I really wanted a no-commitment version and so I placed the second order with AT&T in hopes of getting it in time to return my Apple order. However, October 14th will be cutting it close, particularly if they count the 30 days from yesterday (I see that they use that for the purpose of determining my contract length). If the stock in stores is OK, I may just try to buy the no-commitment one in a store first. Ideally I'll get it from Apple so it will be unlocked upfront. Too bad they don't sell the unlocked one online from the start.

Not annoyed at all. I hope all pre-orders get delivered on launch day.

The only thing I am nervous about is ordering through ATT.

All of my previous orders have been through Apple. I had both ATT and Apple sites open and ATT was the first one to let me order. I will never underestimate the ability of ATT to screw things up.
