ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

So wait, I have read through a bunch of these posts and I have a question.

I order my phone at 9:15am est on Friday (non-premier) in the store using direct fulfillment. . The order showed up on Friday under the check order status site. It has always shown PROCESSING and the email confirmation shows "15-21 days shipping". I have a pending charge on my CC.

What exactly does PROCESSING mean?
Any chance I can get my iPhone on Friday?

The only thing I am nervous about is ordering through ATT.

All of my previous orders have been through Apple. I had both ATT and Apple sites open and ATT was the first one to let me order. I will never underestimate the ability of ATT to screw things up.

ATT = big mess with my preorder last year but it still got here on the right time.

The second one that was accidentally ordered a day later (at&t's fault) came TWO weeks later and it was in the second batch.

My fingers are crossed.
 
I guess I am in the same boat as some of you. This is what my order says.

Frustrated.

I placed my order with AT&T at 2:03 Central Time and on my order confirmation it states that my iPhone 5 will be delivered on 9/21/12.

My order is still in process and says it is pending shipment.

I have spoken with 2 different chat representatives who are telling me a 10/5-10/12 delivery date, but I should have been one of the first orders processed.

Should I be concerned or have others experienced this also and still received it on release date?

Nobody here (or at AT&T) really knows the answer to that. Im guessing they are telling everyone those dates as a "worst case scenario". If they told you the 21st as a delivery date, when the 21st comes and goes and your phone still isnt there....you would probably just call and complain to them.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing.

The only thing I am worried about is my order used to show up under "my orders" and now it is not there. I got an email saying it was processed by now when i search for my order with phone number it states that it is being processed. I'm afraid that AT&T may have messed something up along the way.
 
I'm guessing to those that have backordered on the AT&T website will get it on the 21st still... I think it's because it hasn't gone to the warehouse yet. The webpage for statuses seems very familiar when I got the iPhone 4, and mine came on the day of.

I ordered a 32GB Black iPhone 5 @ 7:05am and my emails says "your order will arrive on 9/21/12" says nothing about may or could be delayed.

This is the only email i received since i placed my order. It says it "should" arrive as soon as 21st. Doesn't really give me a definite.

If it doesn't ship by the 19 th, you probably wont get it by the 21st. I'm pretty sure they're not going to pay for next day shipping, I'd be surprised if they pay for anything other than ground.

Where's all the FedEx workers at. I'm sure some of them are MacRumors members and should be able to report if they are seeing any iPhone movement.

In the past, all of my iPhone pre-orders through AT&T have shipped next-day.

Well i ordered through the Premier site the night the pre orders began. When i got to check out, the only option was Fedex two day delivery if i remember. I remember it was def only Fedex. It didnt even give me the option for overnight or anything else. So i assume it just depends on when it goes out, as far as how soon i can get it.

The AT&T initial orders that are scheduled for delivery on 9/21 will ship by Thursday, Sept 20 for a Friday, Sept 21 date delivery.

The question is will you receive it by 10:30 AM on Friday or just sometime during the day... :)
