I will also add. My 4S was ordered on the 8th, shipped on the 11th, and arrived on the 14th.
Using that as a guide, order on the 15th, ship on the 18th, arrive on the 21st.

I ordered on the phone from AT&T at 5 am pst 9/14 and was told it would ship 9/20 to arrive 9/21.

We had to order by phone because my line wasn't up for upgrade until November so we had to talk to someone to ask for early upgrade and they agreed, husbands was already eligible. Woke up at 12 am pst (3 am here on east coast)tried to call then but they weren't open, called them at 7 am est when they opened.

Anyway was told would we would have it 9/21and that we have to pay our bill due 9/18 or phone wouldn't ship and it also wouldn't ship if we didn't agree to the terms and conditions email. Kept checking for T&C email finally arrived 2 hours after order but didn't see until until an hour after that because it went to spam folder. I agreed to the T&C on the main line but didn't realize I had to also do it again and enter the other lines number and agree again. Thought we were all good to go, today around 3 pm est we get a text saying we need to accept T&C or phone can't get shipped. Figured out I had to do it for 2nd line, accepted, then got a new order confirmation email with the same order # from yesterday morning only it now says the order date is today. Order status online says order date 9/15 also. We are pretty pissed off because we ordered yesterday before the cutoff and was NOT told the order basically didn't even "count" until the T&C was accepted.

This is unbelievable, they should have made that part clear when telling us it would be delivered 9/21, we even made sure we made our payment today so we would be good to go. I'm sure we aren't the only ones in this situation because I've heard some people hadn't even gotten the T&C email yet. Totally unfair. I guess the whole T&C email is only for phone orders.

Also we paid $9.95 for shipping which I thought was because it was going to arrive 9/21, does it always cost to ship phones from At&t?

I placed my AT&T upgrade order at 3:01 AM (Eastern Time) and by 3:07 had both confirmations. Have received an additional email (or 2?) and a text confirmation since then as well.

Is anyone's order not showing up under "my orders" on the AT&T website?

I ordered mine at 2:03AM Central time and received a text that my order was processed and getting ready for shipment.
 
So I ordered over the phone at around 7 PM EST last night. I got the terms and conditions email almost immediately and accepted them immediately. However, when I try to check the order status through my account, I still get an error message and the order doesn't appear.

When I call ATT, it says that I recently ordered a new phone in the automated message and the rep I spoke to says she sees the order.

Should I be concerned that its not showing up on my order status page?
you will get yours in october. the cut off was 11;25am on the 14th

Same here. I knew it was in Attention status, tried to call all day. Finally got thru, then they couldn't help because system was down.

Will call tomorrow, but if they tell me I've lost my spot in the queue b/c of this, I'll cancel and go camp out on Friday. And I might just switch to Verizon because AT&T is just so darn stupid. They gave me a $150 credit to upgrade; I wonder if they'll be swift enough to take it back if I leave, or will it apply to my ETF?

My guess is that they are so clueless, they'll have no idea. I work in IT, see and talk to a lot of tech support and sales reps. I've never seen a company as inept and indifferent to its customers as Big Blue. Their reputation as the worst company in the business is well-deserved.

not being a jerek or sarcastic, just an honest question why do all you guys say i hope i get it the 21st, but yet ordered so late, why didnt you order when you woke up on the 14th if you were so concered about getting it so soon?

The manager that I spoke to about my early upgrade (supposed to be in late November) said that I was lucky enough to get full upgrade discount and he had to charge me shipping. About the t and c he stayed on the phone with me while I accepted them but my delivery is still saying 14-21 days.

I don't mind the shipping charge but I thought it was just because it was supposed to be overnight. It's starting to sound like the only "preorders" were the ones done online the first few hours. Guess we won't really know until later in the week.

My order is still in process and says it is pending shipment.

I have spoken with 2 different chat representatives who are telling me a 10/5-10/12 delivery date, but I should have been one of the first orders processed.

Should I be concerned or have others experienced this also and still received it on release date?
you need to specify a.m. or p.m. order time. duhhh
 
Anyone here that has preordered before have an idea of when it will actually say shipped? I am thinking ppl will start getting notices Wed of this next week. I was just curious if anyone has ordered before and seen it said item shipped before then?

I called at 9:00 am est but by the time I got through the rep and to a manager that could help it was passed 11am. He told me I would get it on the 21st but like I said the email says 14-21 days and my order says processing
 
If it doesn't ship by the 19 th, you probably wont get it by the 21st. I'm pretty sure they're not going to pay for next day shipping, I'd be surprised if they pay for anything other than ground.

they ship them all overnight from local warehouses, same thing as last year

And where are u getting this information from, AT&T? If so, good luck with that. No one has any concrete info as far as how many units will be allocated for each carrier. Its all a big crapshoot. Your only remote chance of getting one on launch day was either A) had your order in online super early on the 14th or B) camp out super early at either an Apple or AT&T COR store.

I don't think they really have a clue as to what is going on. I was told by 3 people that my phone would not ship until I accepted the terms & conditions email even though I ordered online and never received the email. I was not told anything about having to pay my bill which is due 9/26 but I do have autopay so maybe that is why.

I am having the same issue that you are having. I also received 4 emails about the same thing with the same reference number and of course all of them came to me after the premiere office was closed... I will have to call tomorrow morning at 9:00am and see what they say. I did call my credit card company (which in this case was PayPal since I used my PayPal debit card to purchase the iPhones.) and they said everything was good on their end. Not sure what the issue is or if that message was sent in error... We will find out tomorrow... This better not put my further back in queue. Especially since I ordered my iPhone at 4:00am which was the soonest I could get the website to function properly...

By the way... Nobody has had me accept any T&C yet... Last year I did that when I actually go the new phone... Of course I don't know for sure what is going on... I can't find any orders in the "My Orders" section of my account and it doesn't show that any upgrades were processed on my account, however it does show a $1.00 charge on my credit card account... Maybe they don't process they upgrade until it actually ships and they charge the card... The "My Orders" section being empty does have me concerned though... Anyone else experiencing this issue?
 
Update to the CC not matching the billing address drama

So ATT canceled my order and told me i could place a new one essentially. The credit card not matching the statement resulted in me loosing my spot in que.....

So i placed a new order with apple.com today.

Called apple and explained the situation. They took my att order number with my new apple order number and showed some compassion. While i might not get the phone on the 21st, i will still receive overnight shipping and will receive the phone sooner than the new promised date of october 10th-16th. She stated that I might have it still in September. At least that is something.

AT&T was supposed to call me at 6 AM and could only do it over the phone.
They didn't.
They weren't even open.
I was freaking out.
They were finally open at 7 and I had to call them. I was on the phone with them ON HOLD for 45 minutes and had to go to school.
I TRIED my hardest. School is important.

I don't deserve to get my phone on launch day because of that?

I would love some clarification if you have any. I preordered through the AT&T Business site at 6:00AM on the 14th. I recieved a confirmation email at 6:29AM saying that it has been reserved and "should arrive as soon as Sept, 21, 2012". The order status site still has my order processing, and I haven't gotten any emails from AT&T since the confirmation email. Does my phone look to be on track for delivery on the 21st? I'm so excited!!!!

2:03AM central time. I think AT&T screwed up my order because I received an e-mail stating that my order was being processed for being shipped yet when I am on AT&T's website there is nothing listed under "my orders"...anyone else having this problem?
