Ordered at 11AM PST on 9/14, order # 14070XXXX....

Still showing order status as back ordered. Called ATT, they say it will ship between 10/4 and 10/15.

Why did I bother with a preorder. I could get a phone right now at an AT&T store, one of my co-workers just did.

Lesson learned. Never again.

You ordered at 11am. What the hell did you expect honestly? Did you sleep from 11:30pm to 11am or somethibg. Sorry, user error...

On your order confirmation email that came on 9/14, it says 14-21 days.

I asked an AT&T rep and they said that's from THAT DAY.

So, it'll be anywhere from 9/28-10/5.

Good news for sure.

Any update on the guy who tried canceling his pre order? I want to cancel mine.

I hope that's not the same rep that told me I most assuredly would have my phone today (still on backorder at this moment).:)
 
Phone has been on Fedex tuck for 3.5 hours. In agony because I am not at home. Waiting on the tracking to say delivered and/or the phone call from the person who is in/out of the delivery address today hopefully with good news that they have my phone so I can stop thinking about it haha.

Don't worry that's why they are making deliveries until 3pm. Mine was on the truck since 7:45am and it just got delivered at 10:38am. I'm not sure what model you ordered but I just opened my white one and it is simply gorgeous. I always thought iphones looked nice, but I don't even want to cover this one up with a case.:D
 
As if the preorder delivery issues weren't enough, now it seems there may be an issue with the black phones anodized coating prone to scratches which show the aluminum color underneath. Great...just great.:mad:
 
man, idk, just not working for me i guess...i give up. will just have to wait it out...not a big deal, just slightly disappointed.

Just request to talk to supervisor, and they will see your aggression, and cancel it.

Just got an email 3 minues after cancelling saying my ATT Premier order has been cancelled. If it's not shipped, they will cancel it easily. They just don't want to (the prior rep said he couldn't cancel my preorder too) b/c they want your business.
 
611 - rep is telling me it cannot be canceled because its "in progress"

how did everyone else get to cancel??

Same situation here...only I am waiting to take lunch so I can go home and get once it's delivered...so now I'm STARVING waiting for FedEx to deliver the damn phone lol.

i just wish someone would explain to me what happened from ATTs side. I oredered an hour and 15 minutes after they went on sale. no transaction problems. 64gb black. and it went from delivers today to ships today to ships oct 4-15. i have no idea how this happens.

and there goes being able to sell my old phone for a larger sum.

but let me say that i will jump at the chance to sign a net neutrality suit against them.

i ordered my 32gb black one at 315am CST. Like you, 1 hour 15 minutes after they went on sale.

Ordered it from Apple and mine from the moment I ordered said Oct 5th delivery.

Spoke w/ CSR yesterday morning(9/21), advised that my iPhone would be delivered tomorrow, even though status webpage showed processing and quantities as back-ordered.

I am holding out the smallest of hope that it will be delivered to the store today. I am waiting for a call from the store (if it shows). I may call store (I believe it opens @ 10 am pdt. I am disappointed that, it appears, that orders made a day or two after mine have been shipped. Is that true? How can this be?

Anyway...would love to hear from folks in my position whose statuses have been in in 'progress/pending shipment' w/ quantity backordered value of '1' (https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status.jsp?vMethod=&vNumber=&ZipCode=)---- 'processing w/ no tracking number, no carrier, and no shipping date info displayed and shipping status of 'Processing'' (https://www.att.com/eos/unauth/eosLogin?productType=wireless), since 9/14, especially if you are in CA, or in the Pacific time zone (probably not relevant). I was worried about that too, that is why I ordered the the white one. Although regardless of color, it will be covered with a case anyhow.
 
apple store says they have ATT units in stock and there is no line.

what should I do macrumors?? lol

Do you really have a need for your new phone right away? Do you think you have an excellent chance of getting your phone at a store? These are the questions to consider.

Dude, my vote is to wait it out. You never know--you COULD get your phone as early as next week. Wouldn't you feel better? Just my take; I'm in the same boat as you are.:)
 
the ATT rep on the phone right now is seriously trying to sell me UVERSE... with as angry as I clearly sound. UN-BELIEVABLE

I just wanted to let people know that I also ordered 16g white iphone at 7 am central on the 14th. My status has been on backorder 0 and "in progress" since Wednesday night. I never received any other correspondence besides my initial confirmation email, and every time I called att I got different responses varying from today to a couple of weeks. Just now I checked my order page again and it said it has shipped and it out for delivery today. So I guess the systems are just slow to update. Their is still hope for people to get theirs today
