You don't have to do anything, all you have to do is power up the iPhone 5 and it will take you threw a few quick steps and your done with activation. Then just restore from your previous iPhone for all the settings. Make your Wifi is working but other than took about 2 mins to activate.

What's the WiFi needed for? I'm asking because I'm in a hotel without WiFi currently.

Maybe he's thinking your backed up with icloud. I haven't tried to activate mine yet cause I'm at work.

Well the cancelled status on my order status was updated 10 minutes after I cancelled. So apparently it isn't the system that is slow to update lol.

I have a good friend that's a UPS driver here in DFW. He HATES iPhone launch day more than any other day of the year. Even Christmas Eve. He doesn't mind being busy...but it's being beaten down by people trying to get their phone before he gets to their house.

He was DREADING today.

Does ATT email you when your item goes off of backorder, or do you just have to keep looking at the status screen?

So all of my fellow Retail preorder brothers and sisters.......Now that we are positive ATT duped us and we wont be getting our phones any time soon....

What are your thoughts on a plan to get one? I'm not canceling my order, I'll probably just sell my preorder when I get it.

I had to walk in att store and get one. My online order on 14 is still backorder. I will canceling it today maybe someone behind me will get little push up.

I'm stuck. I can't cancel my store order (upgrade), and if I buy another one now it would have to be at full price. Guess I'll wait it out.

A couple of my friends went to various at&t stores locally and the majority of them had 10 in stock. What kind of launch day is that. Imagine camping out to find they only have 10.
