Anyone that pre-ordered in-store and has an order number starting with X get shipping information yet?

I pre-ordered in-store at 9AM CST and my order number starts with XK. My backorder switched from 1 to 0 yesterday afternoon, but on shipping info yet. Still says "Pending Shipment."
 
Tracking says it's on the way!

Just checked some tracking info and it's here in town!

I should have delivery today.

The case I ordered from Amazon. So there's that at least. yay...
 
Got the iPhone 5 as Promised AND On Time!

Got a confirmation email yesterday from AT&T Premiere that my order had been shipped, Tracking on FedEx it has gone from Ft. Worth to IND, and now on it's way to Chicago and scheduled for delivery by 3:00 P.M. tomorrow, Friday, 21.Sep.

Ordered at 5:00 AM (Local Chicago time) on 14.Sep. When I first received confirmation of my order from AT&T it showed a delivery, "As Early As 21.Sep", but after that no mention of any date and figured that I was in for the 14-21 day wait.

I guess I am fortunate.

Oh, one more thing; on Tuesday, 18.Sep order was still showing as, "Processing", I did a live chat with AT&T and was asked for order #. Agent informed me that delivery would be in the 05.Oct-15.Oct window.
I did see that I would not be charged until order was processed to ship when I placed the order. I was charged late Saturday afternoon 15.Sep, so that did give me a glimmer of hope!

I did receive my iPhone 5 yesterday afternoon via an extremely tired FedEx courier who laughed and said I was one of the ones, "Killing Her". Had the phone up and running in less than 30 minutes - Thus far liking it a lot.....
 
EXTP here as well. I'm going out today if I find a white and black 16gb iPhone on calling AT&T and getting my pre orders cancelled and my upgrade eligibility reset because they royally screwed up my order.

5th ave. store in NYC said they're expecting more stock in the afternoon, but they're not sure of model or for what carrier. I dunno if you want to make the trek from south jersey (saw that in a previous post of yours).

I would go around looking for one, but I have a feeling canceling the order will be another nightmare...and even if that were to happen smoothly, I would then have the added difficulty of having to argue with them again to push up my eligibility date by 2 weeks. I'm not eligible till first week of October but had that pushed up when preordering.

Well if they are initiated the eligibility they can simply revert it back to being eligible for upgrade. I wasn't eligible until November. But I'm sure if they simply cancel your order and tell them your buying a phone it should convert back to being eligible because that's what they did for you when you bought your phone, I doubt it'll go back to your ORIGINAL eligibility with how screwed up their system is.

Yeah NYC is a hike for me. I may try Atlantic city apple store. I called all over south jersey to every corporate AT&T store and every apple store no 16gb's around.
 
Right. And if he left a notice and you had to wait till monday to pick it up, you'd rage harder.


Nope because I know my local FedEx hub allows me to pick it up same day after 6pm. Worst case I rather wait until Monday since I know my neighbors have high traffic visitors. It's the thought of losing my phone because of FedEx not doing their job right And then having to deal with AT&T on a lost phone that would rage me.

Wonder if AT&T processed single orders before multiples?

I have an EXTP order for a single phone. I ordered via phone at 10:30 on 9/14, agreed to the Ts&Cs on 9/14 but my order shows ordered on 9/16. Still backordered of course.

And, here's a new twist to the ATT saga: they are messing with my grandfathered unlimited data plan. According to my online info it is going to expire in Nov.:

What... :eek: thats not right but I hope you get it today because I know UPS & Fedex delivers on Sat. because I normally order stuff all the time and they come on both weekdays & weekend except Sunday

Yea, just got my phone; Saturday delivery. So I guess UPS did come thru after all. . . not as mad at them now!!!
But now it will charge for most of the morning. I guess I will play with it tonight.

Same here, pre ordered in store 9:39 CST, went from 1>0 backorder and still no shipping info...called customer service and they told me it should ship next week sometime, and hopefully come on thurs or friday

Glad you got yours. I wish mines would get it's butt off backorder and home to papa :(

My upgrade eligity only says, upgrade initiated, says nothing about not being eligible until 2014 after placing my ordered. EXTP order folks check your eligibility what does it say? There should be no reason I shouldn't be able to cancel and revert my upgrade because it only says PARKED agreement exists.

When I get to "Upgrade Phone" on myATT it says "P1287-->" on both my wifes account and mine with no clickable links. Unlike the other lines that have upgrades links and such.
 
This just doesn't make sense. What's the point of pre-ordering an item if the status is STILL back ordered a day after it was supposed to be delivered? Very disappointed with AT&T. If I had known that going into an AT&T or Apple store to buy a phone was as seamless as it has been for most, I wouldn't have stayed up late to pre-order. I could cancel my preorder but it's not a guarantee that I'll get my eligibility back. I guess all I can do is wait. Even more patiently. And yes, I am one of the 1406 folks.

I had the same thing. I called AT&T and they told me since I had ordered a new iPhone and they give you 30 days to activate the new phone.
 
My order status page does not say back ordered but "processing" - what does this mean? I haven't seen any comments in the last 4-5 pages talking about this particular state of the order - any ideas?

Mine says that too because I have the 2Gb Data Pro. A rep told me since I'm getting an LTE device there is a service upgrade. The plan itself doesn't change but it's basically going to say 2Gb Data Pro LTE or iPhone LTE. Something to that nature. I'd just call but I don't think you'll lose your unlimited data.

It pretty much seems like everyone who ordered over the phone on the 14th with the EXTP order got their order pushed back by 2-3 days. All over these forums same problems.
 
iPhone 5 Preordered

I unfortunately did not order my iPhone till the 16, called and said was on back ordered has anyone received theirs that was ordered on same date as mine?
