I STILL dont have status available on that wireless page... only the premier page... despite the csrs telling me its ordered and coming in 14 days (on the new contract period already checking my account)... 3 hours post pre-order launch friday.. 32g black.. while I am somewhat annoyed it didn't come on launch day... my greatest frustration is the lack of clear, true tracking information in the process... I mean... why can't I see backorder stuff like everyone else?

Placed order via ATT website, got confirmation email at 3:03 am EST saying will be delivered on 9/21. this is the only email I ever received from AT&T.

Been on backorder since middle of last week. 2 chat sessions with ATT staff lead me nowhere...

Pending charge on credit card disappeared around the 18th/19th of September

Went from backorder 1 to 0 today, hoping that is a good sign. 16 GB black

Order number 1406#####... glad I stayed up so late!

Also, doesn't everyone just LOVE hearing about how awesome the new iPhone is on the news, Twitter, Facebook, etc???

I never expected to get my phone on launch day. I'm kinda ticked about how the order of delivery went after reading this forum. I ordered my 4 s last year at around 230pm, got it on launch day. I ordered mine this year a little later at about 330pm. The whole cut off time is a myth... It must be. I noticed others receiving phones on launch day, definitely not in order! But all well... It makes it fun


Oh yah AT&T does suck! But is the grass greener on ther side, Verizon? Probably not.
 
Called ATT and they gave me the 14-21 days speech, but they said I could cancel and try buying it from the Apple Store. Called my local Apple store and they are out of phones for today but they told me I can try back after noon on Monday.

The problem is if I don't get my phones by Sep 30th, I'll have to cancel or else T-mobile will charge me for an extra month of service. ****!

how do you check if you're back ordered? on the "my orders" page, it just says that it's "processing" and shows no date. btw I ordered on the 14th too
 
I am a 1612er whose order seemed to be permanently stuck on back order. However, it changed from back order 1 to 0 today. It's a 16gb black ordered at 6.30 AM CST. Hope i will get it by Monday.
 

That and the other one that looks the same have always given me: "OS001: We apologize for the inconvenience. We cannot complete your request at this time." from day one... only https://www.wireless.att.com/business/order_status/ works (premier ... individual account... so whatever... only added the 'fan' account this year... didn't know it made me into some crazy caste for a few dollars off my bill each month)... which isn't providing ANYTHING useful other than "in progress" ... have to "log in" for details... except... individual users CANT signup to "log in" ... myatt sends me to the page you link when I click "my orders" with the relevant error above.

The page that i provided should work for you. Enter in your wireless number and your shipping zip code.
 
Just checked my status and my back order went from 1 to 0. Hopefully I get it in by next week. I ordered on the 14th in store around 10:30 AM

For those of you that haven't held one in hand yet I'll tell you the pictures do this design no justice. Seeing it and actually feeling how light it is... It feels like its missing all it's internals!! Ugh can't wait til I see that back order change to 0!!!!

Still on back order

I had ordered mine online on 14th just before 7 AM and for 2 days, I kept receiving the status as pending. And I couldnt connect to CCR. So I finally called a regular CCR who connected me to sales rep on Sunday (16th). She reviewed my order and said I should just go to the store and verify my ID and my order will be shipped. I rushed to the store and the rep couldnt do as directed saying that order is in limbo and there is no way he could retrieve it.

So I placed a new order then and there and it took about an hour to verify, approve and confirm it. I had requested it be shipped to the store. Still it shows processing, but the rep yesterday told me in a chat (and perhaps the only one to say this) that my order is not back ordered and is expected to be in the queue next for shipment since it will be going to the store along with other phones for store customers. I am hopeful it will be shipped on Monday.

But hope is just another 4-letter word.:cool:
 
Just out of curiosity, has anyone received their iPhone already who's backorder status never changed? I'm just wondering if there is a chance it will show up without confirmation or status change...

New to MacRumors and forums and I've been following this for a while now... love it.
 
Despite being on back order for the longest guess what... I got those lying ******** to cancel my preorder but I don't get why i'm still seeing it's status still as processing still but oh well. So on to the good news. I have called an appointment to pick up a iPhone 5 32GB Black & Slate from :apple: tomorrow @ 5th Avenue store :D I already paid for it and can't wait to pick it up
