ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Anyways, I ordered mine (online) late on the 15th but my order was not processed until 17th. I never got an e-mail saying it would take 14-21 days. Only got an e-mails when I first ordered the phone and when I got my wireless number and Pending Shipment.

I am still on back order and trying to be patient. If I had the choice I would have ordered through Apple and got a plan with somebody there. I thought going with ATT would have been better because they had a shorter wait period.

I am really hoping to get my phone soon. I have been checking the status very religiously and still nothing. All I get is Shipping Pending and status in Progress.

Thank you all for listening to my venting. I would go to a store however where I am right now there is no AT&T store around nor any other place that sells cell phones right now.

This is my first smart phone as well! i can finally afford them and pay my own bill
 
Ordered my black 16 gig iPhone on the 14th. According to AT&T, my order is still being processed. Order number 1407. I will never preorder again.

I went off of back order around 6pm yesterday. Then this morning around 10am I went to pending shipment, after that it was around 3pm that I got a FedEx email saying it was expected to be at my door my Tuesday afternoon.

Once you go off of back order it shouldn't be too much longer. Around a day or so is about how long it takes. They updated my shipping stuff about ten minutes ago, so it looks like they're processing orders today despite being Sunday.

Once you get off back order I wouldn't worry too much.

I recommend everybody here preorder through BestBuy or RadioShack next time. My group of friends went through them and they had zero issues. I was the one dumb enough to try AT&T this year -__-

OMG! OMG! My iphone just got shipped. I didn't receive an e-mail from FedEx or AT&T yet. My backorder when to 0 last night sometime around 10. When I checked the status order an hour ago, it was saying "Pending Shipment." I refreshed the order just few minutes ago and now its shipped and I should have it by Tuesday 3PM, on my Mom's birthday :) . I am excited... Looks like my order got picked up by FedEx and scanned at 2:31PM today. I guess FedEx is working overtime this weekend :)
 
Has anybody that pre-ordered theirs on or after the 17th received their phone or had it taken off backorder?

I'm in the same group, ordered 9/14 around 2pm, one 16GB is already en route, got the email about 2 hours ago, my 32GB, both white is in the same status.

Are you checking the status through the link they provided in the e-mail when you placed your order? Have you tried this link:? https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/

This link will let you know if your phone has been back ordered or not. You will be able to get your FedEx tracking number from here too if they have already shipped your phone. Good Luck!!
 
Ugh so annoyed # .
Still on back order && can't find one single store with phones in stock .
Not only that but every store has a long .ass waiting list for when they do re-stock .
So I can't even cancel my order if I wanted to .
Never going to pre-order again . .
 
Followed this thread up until Friday night. I ordered 2 phones via phone around 11AM EST (order group 9041). Was promised delivery for 9/21. Both phones were backordered, so no dice. After many phone calls and visits to the local ATT store, I was finally able to cancel my phone orders since the ATT store had phones available I could pick up then. So by 5PM on 9/21, finally got the orders canceled and upgrade restored. Haven't thought about it since, until today. I got an email today saying 1 of the phones I thought was canceled shipped out, with delivery for 9/25. When I looked up the order status just now, 1 says canceled, and the other says shipped. I only had 2 eligible upgrades, but now I'm going to have 3 phones. I'd love to keep it for another line and use it.

Any idea if ATT would try and come back and charge me full price for the "extra" iphone, assuming they charge me at all?
 
Backordered or Pending?

Just got off the phone with customer service. I was told my phone is on backorder and wont be shipped until 14-21 business days, yada yada yada. Weird issue though, my order status says Backorder Quantity of 0. It went down from 1 on launch day, but I have no shipping information.

So is my phone backordered and wont be available until early October or is my phone off backorder and pending shipment??? :confused:

I did get my activation fee ($36) waived and an additional $50 credit posted to my account after trying to explain that AT&T doesn't understand the concept of pre-ordering. :)
 
Ordered a white 16gig on the 14th around 7pm...
Last night around 9pm my phone went from backorder 1 to 0....
Haven't gotten any updates. Also ordered a black 16 gig 10 mins before the white one and its still on backorder..

Gotta love the waiting game...

Nope...just checked my status 10 minutes ago and still on back order. Though I ordered mine on 15th it was not sent to processing in the warehouse and pending shipment.

dont listen to att they dont know what there talking about. if it says 0 in back order. your order is ready to ship. good luck
 
On the phone right now, ATT screwed up and i got 2 iphone 5's on the same line with both discounted prices. On hold for the 3rd time.

Rep is telling me they should ship Oct. 5-14th...

Good thing or bad thing?

Thank you. According to this link, I'm back ordered. Still absurd that I can't find out if it'll be here this week or October 15th.

I would expect shipping info very soon. I think most 0 back ordered has meant shipping soon, some just longer than others. "Pending shipping" is not a status update...just telling you when you'll get tracking info..aka "when it ships"
 
EXTP889 OF COURSE STILL BACKORDERED!!!!!! So fkn mad. I will NEVER deal with any kind of order with AT&T ever again.
