ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I am just really pissed because it says the date I ordered it was the 17th. Lies. I ordered it at like 1:30 CA PDT on the 14th. And my order number is way up there... it's no where any of you all. So great. Basically I'll get mine sometime around Christmas, right? 😡

Same here. I just wish I had a way to shut off all other incoming email to that account so I don't keep getting my hopes up when it pings! 🙂
Same **** happened to a lot of us that ordered on the 14th and got pushed back to the 17th.
that gives me hope. when did yours come off backorder and what time did you pre order

After reading a few of these posts I just wanted to say this. I woke up on the 14th around 9 am and called AT&T was on hold for about 45 mins. When the operator finally answered I was able to extend my contract and get a iPhone 5. I was told the phone would ship on the 21st and it would take 5-7 biz days to arrive however the lady didn't seem like she was too sure. I recieved my phone via FedEx Friday morning. I also do recall the pending charges dissapearing on my cc at one point. I guess i got lucky
So I order my iPhone 5 on the 18th. Well of course I am on backorder, but my other problem is I order an iPhone 4 at the same time. It still has not shipped yet or no tracking number. What in the crap is wrong with this company?
EXACT SITUATION. i got my activation wave and 80 dollar lifeproof case free once its available to everyone!

Someone help me out? im confused when everyone saying 4 digits of there order number. where can you find that? is it the first 4 or last 4?
ya'll are so right about all this. got removed from backorder last night, checked and the charges were still pending on my AmEX. no shipping info yet, but the pending charges are gone from my AmEx account as of this morning. i don't know what that means, but it means something, doesn't it?? 😕
it is very possible you will receive your iphone this week. im waiting on that email too. good luck
Just got my fedex tracking number.. went off back order around 10 pm last night. wooooo! too bad my husband's phone is still stuck in backorder even though he ordered 10 mins before me :/
You can say that again. Idk what it is with the extp889 orders but I think we are still on back order. I just have a feeling we got screwed somehow.
My pre-order went in at 2:20 pm on the 14th. My order finally showed up TODAY when searching for my phone number.
Order date showing TODAY. Ugh.. I'll never get this phone 🙁

Got my phone shipped Saturday morning around 10am this is after having the 611 operator telling me the phone will ship between October 5th and the 15th... I would say call up 611 and get a credit and if you ordered on the 14 th you'll have your phone this week some time and a nice little credit on your account. I got 136.xx and they dropped the activation fee 🙂🙂
I did an in-store pre-order at 9AM CST and my backorder switched from 1 to 0 Friday afternoon. Still no shipping info. Any idea when I should expect the tracking number?
From what I've read, it changes from 1 to 0 when they assign the IMEI before preparing it for shipment (means they have a physical phone to give you). I would hope you'd see it this week.

Yeah, I thought I was the only one that got their order date pushed back to the 16th when I pre-ordered on the 14th at 9am PST. It's funny because on the Premier page it says Order Date: Sept. 14, 2012 but on the AT&T Order Status page it says Date Ordered: 09/16/2012. Good one AT&T, you got me!
I sure do hope so! I'm thinking things are slower because it's Sunday. Maybe I'll wake up Monday morning to a tracking number!
That isn't fair at all. I mean I'm happy you're getting your phone but I ordered at 8am PST on 9/14. How is it first come first serve if people ordering after you get a phone before you. It's not right.

I think it depends on which size memory you got, to me it seems like the 16GB version iPhone 5's are being shipped out much quicker than the 32GB and 64GB ones that might have had a higher demand. But if not, then yeah you're right that's pretty unfair.
