Another 1406 here as well. Ordered @ 3:03am EST on 9/14. Went off backorder around 6pm on Saturday 9/22.

Holding out hope for a delivery this week!

I also ordered that time on the 14th. I was so excited I got to order so soon which meant i would get it on the 21. But now we know...

Is there anyone who pre-ordered in-store Friday morning (9/14) whose phone hasn't shipped yet...?

Two black 32GB ordered in-store at about 11:30 CST. Both still on backorder.

Didn't get the confirmation email until the evening, though.
 
EXTP889. Still backordered. iPhone's are sold out within a 50 mile radius in south jersey, so cancelling is not an option. This is absolutely stupid. Last time I ever pre order an iPhone.

I am one of those with EXTP8899 who is stuck. I placed my order with ATT by phone on 9/14.

The order summary says something like this:
Billing Acct # : xxxxx
Equipment Order #: EXTP8899
Shipping Order # : Nxxx-xx-xxxxx

When I check the order status through the generic link , it says backordered. When I login my account and then check the status through MyOrder link , it says- Processing .. our fulfillment center is processing this order ( whatever)

I am little upset as folks around me who pre-ordered have all got it except the unlucky guy who went to Best buy. However I do not think it is worth calling CSR at ATT just because my past experience has prompted to take headache pills after speaking to them.

Is there any systematic way to figure wtf is happening with my order. I see people in this forum giving out 4 digit . What is the significance of this ?

Any input is appreciated

Ordered over the phone on the 16th here...
I still obsessively check the status throughout the day, as if by some miracle my order slips through the cracks and ships early.

That's what all extp889 have right now. We are BACKORDERED some how we all got screwed. Gonna be awhile before we see ours come off backorder. I don't think any extp889 has gotten their phone.

Are you EXTP889980 or EXTP889981? I have both because I ordered two phones. There has been no movement at all.

Your status(s) are the same as most others on backorder. People were using the first 4 digits of their order number to try and figure out patterns but I dont think any were actually found.
 
At least they have a phone assigned to you. I'm gonna be on backorder forever.

I'll believe that the backorder change to 0 is better when I see the shipment information. I'm glad that mine changed over the weekend but the longer it sits there without shipment information the less secure I feel that my phone will ship this week. Mine switched to 0 backorder on Saturday evening and I have not seen shipping info yet. I thought for sure that I would see it this morning at the latest based on what others have been saying but nothing...

It looks like there have not been any backorders cleared in the past 24 hours. My gut tells me that if yours is still showing 1 as backorder that we are going to be waiting until the October 4-15 timeframe.

I also went to 4 att stores this morning and they are telling people early November for new stock to come in.

My store has them right now, just not the model I want.

Any black 32's go off, and does anyone know if att stores received any new phones today?

That is exactly what they have in stock at my local AT&T store. The problem is that I ordered the 16GB and 64GB black...

Mine is also EXTP889982. But, has anyone else with an EXTP order number (or any other order number) noticed that the last four numbers of the order number are the last 4 of your social security number? Mine is. I wonder where that puts me in line...:rolleyes:
 
I ordered mine online 9/14 @ 6:30 PM PST. It just arrived at my house. Going to go home and get it soon :)))))
 
I'm going stir crazy.. Every time I call AT&T I get a different answer, promises not kept, etc.. This time I demanded to speak to the highest level manager in the CRS dept and he was very kind and gave me more of an insider view..

He informed me, It doesn't matter when you placed the order, it's all about when they processed your T&C. I ordered at 9am but they processed the order and sent me T&C at 2:15pm and they got them back on their end at 2:30pm so technically on their side they view that as the order going through at 2:30pm not 9am.

There was 5000 phones to all AT&T stores nationwide while over 20,000 phones sent to Verizon stores. All AT&T stores sold out in 3 hours. No more phones to stores until all preorders filled. Take that for what it's worth.. I'm sure y'all told differently.

I was told again & again how much they value me being a customer. My order is apparently "completed" and now I wait for shipment which will be when Apple sends them more inventory and they only ship phones on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Night before & mornings of is when tracking info is sent out.

Blah...

I pre-ordered two iPhone's on Friday morning...one was a 16gb and the other a 32gb (both black). The 16gb has shipped and is expected to arrive today...the 32gb is still on backorder tho :mad:
 
Ordered 2 white 16gb iPhone 5's on the 14th around 2:30pm. This morning I called att and spoke with someone about the status of my order. The lady told me my phones will ship the first week of October and would arrive in 14-21 business days. Just checked the online order status page and both phones shipped today via FedEx and will arrive by 3:00pm tomorrow.

Haha exactly why we have to resist the urge to call them it's such a waste of our time!
 
Cancelling in store?

I see a lot of folks are having trouble cancelling their orders on the phone/chat lines, but what about finding a model at a local store and having them cancel it on site?

Is it worth trying this out?
 
Well, I was one of the ones who waited WAY too late to order it and get it on release day.

About 6 PM from the AT&T site to be exact on the 14th.

Now, the order status page had a 1 in the column for QTY BACK-ORDERED since the day I ordered it.

Now, that one has been replaced by a 0 today.

Of course, no other update, but my impatient butt is hoping it means good news. LOL...
 
he ordered 6:30 pst. that is 9:30 est. that is bs. i ordered at 11:30 am est. still didnt get mine. i am off backorder though

Then you and I will commiserate together! I am off backorder as well and patiently waiting for shipping information. I just hope it ships soon because this constant checking is a productivity killer!
