ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

finally, got a tracking number for my 32gb as well. both are slated to arrive tmw, we'll see if that really happens.
 
Shipping via KAQT???

Yeah, so apparently my forever-in-backorder iPhone5 16gb black is finally getting shipped today. Via "KAQT". Anyone know what carrier that is? Google doesn't even seem to know.
 
why are people STILL waiting on preorders when the stores (both apple/att) have ample stock of them? Canceled both my preorders on friday, got off work, and drove right into Baton Rouge att and walked out in 15 minutes with a black 64. Ya'll are crazy I tell ya.

Here in Delaware, I've called about every store that sells iPhone an they have 0 AT&T iPhone 5's and don't know when they are getting more, not even Apple store.They all have Verizon though.

Because at the AT&T store where we preordered our phones, every person we spoke to, including the store manager, said it was impossible to cancel the order, we are very sorry.

Given the number of stories in this thread about people who did manage to convince someone to cancel their order, and later finding out that it wasn't really cancelled, we didn't feel it was worth the risk of pushing it.

But I won't be preordering again. I'd rather stand in line.

Yes I figured I could get some type of credit for the delay and called 1-800-331-0500, and got the the upgrade fee waived for both phones. The CSR was really nice too (which is not common).

Let me know when you have movement in your order, I'll do the same :)

Will do! The other day I asked what they were doing to make up for the delay and only offered $20 a line, so I will be calling again.

1406 here as well. ordered 2 black 16 gb iphones on the 14. got off backordered on saturday and still no tracking number

I hate seeing stuff like this because my local AT&T has that size in stock. This is the type of stuff that makes the idea of them sending stock to the local stores before filling all pre-orders seem even sillier.
 
I just verified my wifes order status (16gb white) and it got shipped today. Scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I ordered online on the 14th at 8:00pm and got off backorder status sometime this saturday.
Mine I got at an at&t store on friday so it's all good. Happy wife, happy life.

Did you verify online? When did it come off of backorder?

Seems to be the same for us 1406ers. Based off other posts we should be getting close to receiving tracking information, but then again based off my 1 email from AT&T I should already have my phone.... Grrrrr......:mad:


Does there seem to be a trend with recently shipped phones coming via UPS or FedEx, or is it just random/based on destination location?:confused:

Here in south Florida, I've tried 10 att stores and none have any or know when any new ones are coming in. I also tried Best Buy and it was the same thing. I have to get mine through att if I want them to continue to waive the $250 early upgrade fee.

When will any of us in the EXTP88998 group, get one? Who knows!

Same here. The reason they gave me is that since I am a new customer, and had 3 numbers ported over to ATT, there was a 3 day delay. I'm still on backorder.

Came off back order 9//22 around 10PM
Tracking info at 11 AM today for delivery tomorrow

There is hope!

Mine starts with "X6825"... I think because it's an in-store order.

This is the ***** that is pissing me off! Ordered before you, accepted T&C before you, and yet I can't even seem to get off backorder. ATT is the worst!
 
GFs was ordered at 800pm on the first preorder day in store and got a FedEx tracking number today. I'll be here tomorrow. Mine was ordered at 317am on the first day and it was still back ordered as of Saturday. I went down to an AT&T store Saturday afternoon and picked up one of the 20 64gb black units they had sitting around that no one wanted... Too expensive for their particular clientele. Yeah. So call AT&T stores that are in the ghetto. They may have one.
 
Wondering if anyone has gotten a confirmed shipment or any kind of target date for a 9031x order number?

Last update I got from AT&T was the standard 14-21 business days projection

That's all I want is a tracking number. It's the not knowing that is killing us :)
