Adding my story to the choir of misery:
My company is a premier customer. We have an internal portal we use to request the devices, and then our mobility manager actually places the order on the premier site. I put in my request on 9/14 around 9am, and received the confirmation email from AT&T at 1:30pm. So it took our guy a few hours to process the order. No biggie.
However, like many other premier customers I'm reading about here, my order date shows up on the order status site as 9/17. Makes no sense: my initial acknowledgement from AT&T show 9/14, the premier site says 9/14, CC preauth took place on 9/14, but apparently as far as AT&T is concerned, I ordered on 9/17. This wasn't a T's & C's issue. Just a pointless delay on their side.
So here I sit, near the very back of the preorder line, waiting for my 64GB black to move out of the backordered column. Nothing I've read here (and I've consumed almost the entire thread) gives me any real clue when that will happen. Irritating. And I can't cancel the order and get the phone from an AT&T store (even if I can find one in stock). Only our mobility guy has the ability to do that (or so he tells me). Makes some sense, since I have no control over our corporate contract. For obvious reasons.
Order# started 1010, by the way.
