Finally!!!...for real this time
Finally got shipping details from FedEx. To be delivered by 3 pm PDT tomorrow. Just shipped out of Fort Worth, TX.
Notes:
Ordered in-store (upgrade) on 9/14 @ 10:38 am PDT
Original summary email from AT&T said: " Your iPhone will ship in approximately 14-21 business days *. All orders are processed on a first come, first served basis."
(CSRs said, 9/21, 9/22, 924, 9/28, 10/4...)...AT&T store clerk said 10-14 days.
Order was stuck in 'back-order' status from 9/14 through to last night between 9 and 11:30 pm PDT, when the status (back-order) when from 1 to 0.
Shipping details just received (or actually checked status online...AT&T has not sent be a shipping notification email, yet) in the last 20 minutes.
There is hope!!! Some of you who haven't come off of back-order and who ordered on 9/14, may be seeing your updates, as well. Good luck.
In retrospect, I guess the delivery estimates were relatively accurate from the onset. CSRs muddied the waters when they told me last week that I should receive my phone on 9/21. Clearly AT&T personnel were not well informed and were probably pulling answers out of there a$$es. Who could blame them them? They didn't design the infrastructure to accommodate this launch, and were probably thrown to the wolves with an inadequate project plan. Honestly, they don't pay enough for me to deal irate customers all day...especially when you really have no capability of addressing the customer concerns in a real, informed manner.
