Finally got out of backorder today...From 1 to 0 (Backorder), so should receiving shipping info in a few days....
 
Lies and coverups

Whoever advised not to call AT&T was right on the money. Most frustrating phone calls ever! Every rep says something different. This time my rep told me my order was placed on the 18th instead of the 14th. Oh really!?! Why do both of my e-mail confirmations, my premier website status, and my memory say that I placed it on the 14th???

He then changed his story to "Well I guess you accepted the terms and conditions on the 18th". BS AT&T!! I did nothing of the sort. He went on to tell me that without accepting the terms they never would have sent an email saying 14-21 business days. Well my second e-mail came in on the 17th so how is that possible Mr.Rep?? He slipped up and said maybe their system accepted the terms for me on the 18th but when I said "So your system processed it LATE?? that is not my fault" he back peddled and told me "no maybe you pressed a wrong button and accepted the terms on the 18th." SMH Are you kidding me?:eek::(

I'm really upset that they can't get their story straight. He told me my phone would be arriving October 8- October 21. And I hung up. All the while, Verizon phones are available at tons of radio shacks in my area. I am seriously contemplating switching providers.
 
People who ordered well after the cutoff time for a release day delivery (I'm included) should be ashamed of themselves for calling ATT and demanding credits and waiving of fees. When you ordered, the rep told you that it would be 2-3 weeks, then later you received an email that stated it would take 2-3 weeks. ATT has no reason to give you anything as they will probably deliver exactly what they already said they would. This "everybody else is getting something for free" attitude is ridiculous.

The only people that have any room to complain are those who were promised a release day delivery, but did not. Although even these folks are sounding whiny and entitled...

You folks who are complaining about ATT's "pre-orders" obviously did not pay attention when ordering. They never said anywhere that a pre-order meant that you'd get your phone before people who go directly to the store. I even asked the sales rep about this when I ordered mine, and he said "it just means that you have a phone reserved and it will ship to you when it becomes available. The instore stock is completely separate from the pre-order stock"

I'm not saying that this whole pre-order thing has been perfect, but a lot of people are making it seem much worse than it really is with their incessant whining and their sense of entitlement.

How much would you pay for three hours of your life back? speaking with four different CSR's, each giving a different resolution to my question left me a little uneasy. The definition of "entitlement" is to believe that you deserve something that you haven't earned.... Pretty sure I paid my own big boy money for this phone
 
Just got the shipment email. Of course ill be gone the next 3 days. Ordered in store on the 14th, 9:45 pst. Good luck to everyone else.

Well I am still on backorder. Still hoping every now and then I would get a surprise e-mail from AT&T letting me know that my phone will not be on back order any more.

Out of curiosity when they mean 14-21 days do they mean Monday-Friday as business days from when we got the confirmation e-mail that which the wireless number came with.

Well I always have Wednesdays and Thursdays off instead of Saturdays and Sundays. I think to kill some time I am going to try and collect all the Riddler trophies and riddles from Batman: Arkham City. Plus I do need to beat the Harley Quinn extra story line.

I will continue to check AT&T about four times a day hoping and praying to finally hear word on my first smart phone.
 
Curious if anyone who ordered via premier recieve their phone yet? I have to order through work and ordered on the 14th at 11:30am cst, received confirmation email around 1:30pm cst stating 14-21 days. Whats strange is on the premier order status page it says order date was the 14th, but on the https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status page it says order date is 9/16...still listed as back ordered. I have seen others with the same issue when ordering from premier, just wondering if any premier orders had shipped?

Another day no progress. Order number XSA 7pm PST 9/14. At this point I really just need to relax and just not keep checking it. And just let it come to my work unexpected :D. This craziness has made me waste so much time when I really need to focus on my comp. programming studies.
 
For those of us who ordered on 9/14, when it gets to the 28th which is only two days away, what do we do then? Call AT&T, complain and then they tell us it'll be "few more weeks" OR "We're experiencing delay's, please be patient". Whats the plan then?

Ditto here - placed premier order around 1:30pm on 9/14, order status date shows 9/16. But sweet baby jesus, sometime in the past hour my backorder quantity changed from 1 to 0. First movement of any kind I've seen in a week (I got some random order acknowledgement email last Wednesday). So hopefully those of us in this 9/14->9/16 premier group are finally making some progress.

I chatted with a couple CSR and called once and they all said the ship date for my order (EXTP889985-) is Oct 4-15th. At least they were consistent.

Oh, and tweeted an ATT person thing and they said they will contact me in 24-48 hours. Yeah....thanks. t(-.-t)

Don't listen to anything anyone says at AT&T. I too have EXTP889985 as my order number and have been on backorder UNTIL tonight. Hopefully that means shipment soon. They have all told me that it would be October as well so don't believe it.
 
Well now! After humming a lullaby for an half hour I check my status, cause what else is there to do at 1am and I'm off backorder! Yay extp's...we're moving toward something good. EXTP889985 64gb black.

What happens to you guys getting your cancelled AT&T packages? If anything, I assumed you would benefit from paying for two subsidized phones. Or is AT&T adding on the unsubsidized price to your bill (I don't really see how that's possible)?

I was told by AT&T it's 14-21 from order date. So we'll be at 2 weeks Friday. I won't get it friday so I do know it'll be 3 weeks then and I'll save them another angry phone call. Or maybe I will call them again
 
I am an extp889986 still nothing. 64gb black ordered on the 14th received a confirmation Checked on the 17th with a csr, they told me my order was on hold because they could not recognize my data plan code (wtf). It is there code no less. Called back to cancel my account after 18 years, retention team convinced me to let them cancel my original order and redo insisting I would not lose my place in line, new order placed 8:00 pm mdt on 17th, not a word since no emails nothing. Need to ship my 4s by 10/1 to receive my $400 from eBay instant sell. The clock is ticking.
