ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

RS came through as promised on Friday the 21st.I added a line which obviously entitled me to 1 phone for $199 so eventually I would have been charged full price for the AT&T phone delivered in error.AT&T is so clueless during this period.How exactly would I benefit from 2 subsidized phones?

What happens to you guys getting your cancelled AT&T packages? If anything, I assumed you would benefit from paying for two subsidized phones. Or is AT&T adding on the unsubsidized price to your bill (I don't really see how that's possible)?

Still on backorder and have been since i ordered it on 9/15 around noon, att said oct 4h but im hoping sooner!!
 
Finally shipping info!!

UPDATE !!! Ordered at AT&T store on 9/14 at 12:50 pm eastern time in Miami. 16g white. Came out of back order on Friday 9/21 at around 8pm. I just received the shipping and tracking number thought the order status site. Receiving before 3pm tomorrow. Coming from Memphis TN. Followed this from the start, never posted until a few minutes ago, checked status one more time before bed. Back order now 0, EXTP889986xxxx, 64gb black. No shipping yet but now looking good, finally.

Ahh...you're one of the losers I am speaking of. What are you doing spending 3 hours on the phone with a CSR?!?! You ordered at 8 PM PST on 9/14 and they told you it would take 14-21 days to get your phone. Do you know how many days it's been, Math Boy? 12 days! ATT is doing exactly what they said they'd do for you. You gave them money and they will send you an iPhone 5 14-21 days from that day.

Yet for some reason you called and DEMANDED $100 dollars. Why? because you feel you are entitled. This is the very definition of entitlement that you so kindly provided. And you even said you heard of other people getting coupons... So I'm sure you said to yourself, "Look at those other people getting stuff for free for no reason! I'm going to call a CSR and ruin their day because i feel entitled to getting something for nothing!"

Sure you paid your big boy money, and you'll get your big boy iPhone 5 in 14-21 days as promised. :mad:

I rest my case on the messed up "first come-first serve" basis. I ordered my on the 14th and it's still on backorder. I'm sooooooo confused but I am happy for you.
 
Lol, you have no clue what you're talking about. Do you think I called csr just for the hell of it? I called to check on my terms and conditions, because of the prior posts about people being delayed because their TA didn't process at all. I completely understood how long I needed to wait for my phone. The terms and agreements fiasco was what caused my 3 hr call, full of CSR's giving me different answers and referring me to solutions I never needed. THAT, math boy, got me a $100 credit, because I asked for it.
Over 300 pages in this thread before someone tried to chew someone out

Lol, why would I lie? For all I know my order will not be shipped for a few weeks (even though it's not listed as backordered anymore)...

Well the fact that your not on backorder means there's a phone assigned to you. So it should only be a few days at this point. Either Friday or Monday you will probably get a phone. This is so ass backwards... Still on backorder from a 14th/fail AT&T system 17th order.

If only AT&T could be transparent on how they are fulfilling these orders. I completely agree that this whole thing is "ass backwards"...

It is like a feeling when you are in kindergarten and somebody cuts in line. Some feel like hey that is not fair. Others are like hey whats your name. Yes there is that small crowd of students that thinks, meh or oh why didn't I think that.

Note to self I should have ordered the 64 iPhone 5 instead of the 32. *sigh*

fyi-I just checked to see if magically going to have a status changed and no such luck. On the bright side, i have two days off, and some free moose ribs.

Expect that student cutting the line is being instructed by the teacher to do so. It is completely out of the student's control... :(

Question...would one already be assigned a phone if they have a new wireless number. For example this is my first cell phone so I have a number linked to the account but I am still under back order. But I can check my status through using the wireless number.

That is when the student runs to mommy or daddy and says the teacher is being unfair and playing favoritism. From their the parent says either suck it up buttercup or gives you some milk and cookies to turn that frown upside down.

I would like to see both but do not mind having some milk and cookies, speaking of which my wife is making right now. Now if only my status would change on the order.

As for the kid that was chosen. Little did he know that lady luck gave him a big wet kiss on the cheek and called that student her special little person. There will be other times when lady luck would later in life slap that person in the face and play favoritism to somebody else. Overall theme don't trust lady luck so much. lol.
 
I just came off of back-order. I pre-ordered a black 16GB on September 15th at 4:00 AM EST. Order #1612XXXXXXXX
 
Aloha guys! Mine has finally shipped!! Woot! Feel so good.

Came off backorder on Saturday night.
Just checked my status like 5 minutes ago and it's already shipped today. Seems like I got overnight priority shipping and I should receive it by tomorrow afternoon. #1406 order number.

All local stores sold out, I pre ordered 4:40 pm est on the 14th, and not only has my phone not shipped its still on backorder! WTF!?!? I'm getting really mad considering one phone ordered before mine is already at my house and the one ordered after my phone is also at my house. This is really annoying!
